Abstract

The guarantee of halal food products is not limited to only semi-finished and finished food products, but also to raw materials consumed by Muslims, which in this research are chicken and beef commodities. This research aims to map the supply chain for chicken and beef commodities with the Halal supply chain concept in Indonesia by taking research samples at four traditional markets in Surabaya, namely Wonokromo Market, Balongsari Market, Kedurus Market and Pegirian Market. This mapping of the supply chain for chicken and meat commodities was carried out to determine any potential irregularities that occurred at each point and monitoring efforts to maintain Sharia compliance throughout the process. The research approach used in this research is qualitative research referring to Biklen's theory, namely starting from the Thesa (the concept and theory of the Halal Supply Chain) and the Antithesis (alleged deviations at each point in the Halal Supply Chain of chicken and beef commodities) which are then analyzed to form Synthesis (Results of analysis of the Halal Supply Chain concept in the chicken and beef commodity supply chain). The research results obtained are the process of tracing the chicken and beef supply chain starting from farms, livestock middlemen, slaughterhouses, traders in traditional markets until finally reaching the final consumer. In the supply chain process, risks of irregularities can be identified, namely the sale of tiren chickens, the feeding of dangerous substances to chickens and cattle, the slaughter of animals that do not comply with Sharia, and the sale of dedeh. Integrative supervision by the Animal Husbandry Service, MUI and the Consumer Protection Foundation is carried out to prevent the risk of deviations from the Halal Supply Chain for chicken and beef meat commodities in Indonesia.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the family cluster was among the clusters that caused the spread of this virus. For families exposed to this virus, their family's resilience has been tested. This article discusses the resilience of families exposed to Covid-19 to be analyzed in maqasid al-shari’ah. The method used in this research is qualitative and field research. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed as normative-descriptive. This study concluded that families exposed to Covid-19 work together to fight this virus by adjusting their respective conditions. For the mild, they self-isolate at home, and those with severe illnesses are hospitalized. If a family dies from Covid-19, the family left behind is isolated. What the family exposed to Covid does is maintain family resilience and maintain the physical and psychic health of the family. From the perspective of maqasid al-shari'ah, the effort corresponds to the concepts of hifz al-din (guarding religion), hifz al-nasl (guarding offspring), hifz al-nafs (guarding the soul), and hifz al-'aql (guarding reason).

Abstract

The Quran contains verses and letters that are systematically and coherently structured, as supported by al-Zarkashi and al-Suyuti. But Richard Bell took a different view. For example, according to him, the letter Al-Hijr needed to be more systematic, and there were some errors in laying verses. Meanwhile, Michel Cuypers is serious about the Semitic Rhetorical Analysis (SRA) approach in analyzing the structure of the Qur'anic text to find a concentric, mirror, and parallel symmetrical patterns in the form of the Qur'anic text. Even this approach is Considered a modern methodology with a new type of dialogue. It is interesting to look for bright spots in the structure of surat al-Hijr from the perspective of SRA. So that raises the question of what is the form of the text of surat al-Hijr from the standpoint of SRA. A Semitic Rhetorical Analysis (SRA) approach is used to answer this question. That is by analyzing the pairing pattern of the text of surat al-Hijr so that it forms groups of text at the bottom level. The bottom level has reanalyzed the design to get groups of text at the level above it, and so on, until the top level is obtained, namely surat al-Hijr. This article concludes that SRA, according to surat al-Hijr, is a Book consisting of 13 Sections arranged in a concentric symmetrical pattern (A-B-C-B*-A*). Richard Bell's opinion is refuted because each verse in surah al-Hijr is capable of symmetry with other poems from the lowest level of the text to the top level, so this conclusion indicates that surat al-Hijr is systematically and Coherently arranged.

Abstract

Talking about the interpretation of the Qur'an cannot be separated from the results of the interpretation of a figure. This research is based on a method from Sufyan At-Tsauri which is deep according to the perspective of sunni tafsir. However, basically the dependence of an interpretation of the Qur'anic text by a figure is in terms of the creed adopted. The Qur'anic text is positioned as an open divine creation that opens the possibility to be interpreted by the mufassirs. On the other hand, Tafsir Sufyan At-Tsauri interpreted by Abu Abdillah At-Tsauri was born from the Kuffi group, which is from the city of Kuffah. While the inhabitants of Kuffi are adherents of the Shi'ah faith. That the Shia and Sunni groups are very different, according to the Shi'a creed the concept of Imamah is an imam who comes from the descendants of the Prophet Muhammad SAW through Ali and Fatimah who have the right to lead the Muslim Ummah with a role model in terms of faith after the Prophet SAW. While Sunni or Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah is a group that adheres to the leadership after the Prophet Saw is Abu Bakr as a result of deliberation not from the results of descent unlike the adherents of Shi'ah. This research uses normative which uses data collection methods by means of literature studies on the title of the research. The result of this study is that the concept of Sufyan At-Tsauri's tafsir method emphasizes the Sunni tasfir perspective in interpreting the Qur'an which is written in the work of Tafsir Sufyan At-Tsauri)

Abstract

Studies on the Living Qur’an in pesantren mostly emphasize exegetical, aesthetic, and functional aspects, with limited attention to how Qur’anic meaning emerges through lived experience. Prior research has also not examined how spiritual and socio-economic engagements with the Qur’an extend beyond Rafiq’s typology. This gap underscores the need to reassess Qur’anic reception through a phenomenological lens. This research examines the dynamics of Al-Qur'an reception in pesantren by expanding A. Rafiq's typology—which includes exegesis, aesthetics, and functional—through two new categories: eternal and economic reception. The study aims to reconstruct and enrich the Living Qur'an framework through daily practices in pesantren with different characteristics. Langitan Islamic Boarding School and al-Muhibbin Jatirogo Islamic Boarding School, Tuban were selected because they represent the two main pesantren models in Indonesia: salaf and modern. Langitan is known as a historical salaf pesantren that maintains classical methods such as sorogan, bandongan, and halaqah, along with a strong emphasis on classical texts and established traditions. Meanwhile, al-Muhibbin represents a modern pesantren with a collective management system, an integrated curriculum, and programs to strengthen foreign languages. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with Edmund Husserl's phenomenological analysis. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that in a Husserlian phenomenological view, Qurʾānic reception in pesantren is seen as an intentional act of consciousness in which meaning emerges through lived experience rather than mere interaction with the text. Within this process, the Qurʾān functions as a dynamic noema shaped by communal practices and pedagogical structures, generating forms such as divine blessing, spiritual nobility, legitimized authority, and economic value. These findings show that Qur’anic meaning in pesantren is shaped through embodied practice and economic engagement. Further research may examine how these dimensions interact in pesantren and wider Muslim communities amid digitalization and modern educational reforms.

Abstract

The phenomenon of silent treatment in the digital era—manifested through ghosting, seen-zoning, and blocking—reflects a communication crisis that affects psychological well-being and the stability of family relationships. This practice bears an essential resemblance to the classical Islamic concept of Il?’. This study aims to analyze the connection between Il?’ and silent treatment through the perspective of M. Quraish Shihab’s Tafsir al-Mishbah. The research employs a normative-prescriptive legal method with a qualitative, literature-based approach, examining Qur’anic verses on Il?’, classical fiqh literature, modern psychological studies, and contemporary family law regulations. The findings show that the Qur’an limits Il?’ to four months to prevent emotional neglect, whereas digital silent treatment is unrestricted and tends to become a form of psychological abuse. Tafsir al-Mishbah emphasizes ethical communication and mu‘?syarah bi al-ma‘r?f as corrective principles for modern relational neglect. The study concludes that the corrective values of Il?’ are relevant for formulating communication guidelines in digital-era family life.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze gender equality in child custody rights (?a??nah) through Fazlur Rahman’s double movement hermeneutic framework. The research focuses on the relevance of Qur’anic and Prophetic texts regulating parental responsibilities, particularly QS Al-Baqarah: 233, QS At-Tahrim: 6, and several hadiths addressing custody arrangements. This study employs a qualitative library research design with a historical–contextual analytical approach. Through Rahman's hermeneutics, the research re-evaluates classical Islamic legal formulations that often prioritize mothers in custody decisions without considering contemporary social transformations. The findings reveal that sociocultural contexts and patriarchal structures of early Muslim societies significantly influenced classical custody rulings. Therefore, modern custody decisions should emphasize child welfare, parental capability, psychological stability, and shared responsibility rather than gender-based assumptions. The study concludes that Islam fundamentally offers equal opportunities for both parents to assume childcare responsibilities. Accordingly, custody arrangements must prioritize the child's best interests and align with the moral principles of justice, compassion, and cooperation embedded in Islamic teachings. This hermeneutic reinterpretation highlights the necessity of contextual legal reasoning to ensure gender-balanced and child-centered custody practices.
