Abstract

This study aims to identify factors influencing the demand of candied seaweed in Bontang Kuala Village, North Bontang District, Bontang City and identify the range of price and revenue elasticities from the demand of seaweed candied in Bontang Kuala Village.This study was carried out for one month in April-August 2014 at Bontang Kuala Village. The population from this study was candied seaweed’s buyers. The samples were based from 30 respondents were chosen by accidental sampling.method. Data analysis was used descriptive analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, price elasticity analysis, and revenue elasticity. Results can be concluded that when the price was decreased, the demand of candied seaweed was increased. The elasticity of price from demand of candied seaweed has the value of -5.03>1. Meanwhile, the elasticity of revenue from demand of candied seaweed has the value of (0.17<1).

Abstract

The aims of the research were to identify livelihood assets fisher, aquaculture and major social actors in the territory of the study, the research was to understand the livelihood strategies of fisher and pond farmer in the region context of vulnerability social, economic and ecological, to investigate the diversification efforts of fisher, to investigate the potential of coastal resources, and formulating marine policy in the national border community based sustainable livelihoods. The research was conducted by survey method. Data collected in the research is the primary and secondary data. The collected data were analyzed by analysis of livelihoods models, GMP analysis, Analysis of Regional Comparative Advantage and SWOT analysis. The results showed that the livelihood assets in Maratua island is fishing, aquaculture, retailer, and the private sector (trade, dive resort). Livelihood strategies are implemented, there are three main components namely: (a) The strategy of fishing effort and fish and lobster; (b) to diversify the direction of tourism development include the development of home stay for domestic and foreign tourists, the sea and culinary guide development tourism, (c) institutional and marketing strategy includes involvement in the patron-client institutions and trade cooperation with buyers from outside the island and abroad. Based on the results can be formulated some general policy recommendations include the implementation of integrated development programs on the Maratua island relating to integration of the planning area, coastal and small islands good governance, the program covers the social, health, economic, and environmental and local cultural, social and institutional strengthening of indigenous communities in the utilization coastal and marine resources, disadvantage groups, implementation of the program taking into account the implementation of regional autonomy and local resources, and using the instruments of economic valuation of coastal resources and the small islands in the formulation of policy utilization of the island.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the profit and the feasibility of the Sangkuriang catfish farming business based on the following indicators: RCR, BEP (production, price, and sales), Payback Period, and ROI (Return On Investment). This study was conducted in Karang Joang urban village, North Balikpapan. The sampling method was the census method with a total respondent of 30 Sangkuriang catfish farmers. The result showed that the total profit was IDR 467,180,957 / production with an average amount of IDR 15,572,699 / respondent / production. The Sangkuriang catfish farming business, based on the RCR, BEP, Payback Period, and ROI, is feasible to be maintained.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the traditional fish farmers’ perception of mangrove forest conservation in Tanjung Limau Village, Muara Badak Sub-district, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The method of this study was purposive sampling based on the number of traditional fish farmers who were still productive in brackishwater pond cultivation, namely 15 respondents. The method of data analysis was descriptive statistical analysis. The data for scores (the highest was 5 and the lowest was 1) from the questionnaire were based on the Likert Scale. The result showed that the cumulative score for the respondents’ perception of the 7 criteria for mangrove forest management was 125.33 in the range score between 105.43–130.23 categorized as Agree. It is a positive point from the traditional fish farmers since they agree with making the mangrove forest stay conserved. The mangrove forest conservation is not only the people’s responsibility but is also a shared responsibility to make the mangrove forest sustainable.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the expenditure and revenue of the catfish business and the feasibility of catfish farming in Lake Gap, Long Iram Village, City based on the RCR, Payback Period, and ROI indicators. This research was conducted from November 2021 to July 2022. Sampling used the census method by using a total of 10 respondents, namely cultivators in Lake Gap. The main data (primary) was obtained from cultivators by means of interviews using a list of questions. The results of the analysis show that the expenditure is Rp. 42,336,000/year/respondent and the income is Rp. 80,220,000/year/respondent. Based on the RCR, Payback Period, and ROI indicators, the RCR is 1.3, the Payback Period is 1.8 and the ROI is 55.83, these results indicate that the business is feasible to run.Keywords: Cages, Catfish, Economic Analysis

Abstract

Hasil perikanan di Kelurahan Sungai Kapih yang melimpah dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi produk kerupuk udang yang dapat bersaing dengan usaha sejenis, Dengan penerapan bauran pemasaran, produsen dapat mengembangkan usaha dan memenuhi kepuasan konsumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur tingkat penerapan bauran pemasaran pada produk kerupuk udang, serta mengukur tingkat kepuasan konsumen terhadap penerapan bauran pemasaran tersebut. Penelitian dilaksanakan sejak April 2022 hingga November 2023 di Kelurahan Sungai Kapih Kecamatan Sambutan Kota Samarinda. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Sebanyak 2 sampel produsen dipilih dengan teknik sensus dan 30 sampel konsumen dipilih dengan teknik Accidental sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat penerapan bauran pemasaran pada produk kerupuk udang bahwa 5 dari 7 unsur bauran pemasaran termasuk dalam kategori diterapkan yaitu Produk, Harga, Tempat, Proses, Bentuk fisik. Sedangkan, unsur Orang termasuk sebagian diterapkan dan unsur Promosi termasuk tidak diterapkan. Tingkat kepuasan konsumen terhadap bauran pemasaran pada produk kerupuk udang terdapat 6 unsur bauran pemasaran termasuk dalam kategori sangat puas yaitu Produk, Harga, Tempat, Orang, Proses, Bentuk fisik. Sedangkan, unsur Promosi termasuk kategori puas.Kata kunci: Bauran pemasaran, Kepuasan konsumen, Produk kerupuk udang.ABSTRACTThe abundance of fishery products in Sungai Kapih Village that are can be used to make shrimp cracker products, and the desire of producers to compete with similar businesses. By implementing the marketing mix, producers can develop their businesses and meet consumer satisfaction. This research was conducted in Sungai Kapih Village in Samarinda City from April 2022 to November 2023. The research purpose are to assess the level of application of the marketing mix and consumer satisfaction with the marketing mix. This research method was using the descriptive qualitative, and 2 samples of producers were selected using the census technique and 30 samples of consumers were selected using the accidental sampling technique. The results of the research indicate that 5 of the 7 marketing mix elements are included in the applied category, that are product, price, place, process, and physical evidence. The person element is partially applied and the promotion element is not applied. Consumer satisfaction with the marketing mix for shrimp cracker products, 6 marketing mix elements are included in the very satisfied category, that are product, price, place, people, process, and physical evidence. The purpose of this study is to determine the amount of income and analyze the impact of the pandemic before and during Covid-19 on tilapia farmers in floating net karamba. The purpose of this study is to determine the amount of income and analyze the impact of the pandemic before and during Covid-19 on tilapia farmers in floating net karamba. There were 15 respondents studied in this study. Data analysis of the study obtained the final results, namely the average income of cultivators was Rp. 23,737,861 during Covid-19 and Rp. 34,752,681 before Covid-19. The final result of income can be explained that the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has an effect on reducing the income of cultivators. An Analysis of Revenue Cost Ratio among Seaweed (Eucheuma Sp) Collector Traders in Binalawan Village, West Sebatik, Nunukan District (Supervised by Qoriah Saleha and Oon Darmansyah).Nunukan District, including Sebatik Island, is extremely potential for seaweed growth as the stretch of coastline with the rocky and sandy seabed as well as protected and relatively calm water areas strongly support the seaweed cultivation business. Each business that is undertaken expends some costs to make the marketing activities result in revenue. This study aimed to calculate the Revenue Cost Ratio among seaweed collector traders and describe the marketing channel of seaweed cultivation in Binalawan village, West Sebatik sub- district, Nunukan district. This study used a census method (saturated) and a snowball sampling technique. The data analysis was done using the Revenue Cost Ratio as well as the marketing channel. The result of the analysis of the Revenue Cost Ratio or R/C was 1.45 and the marketing channel formed a two- level channel.

Abstract

The research was conducted with the aim of analyzing and describing how the GEMARIKAN program innovation communication process in Tanjung Redeb Village. The research was carried out for 12 months from November 2021 to October 2022 in the Tanjung Redeb Village, Berau Regency. The sampling method used was purposive sampling method with 17 respondents. The analytical method uses a qualitative descriptive analysis with a case study approach. The focus of this research is the 4 elements of innovation diffusion, namely innovation with the stages of knowledge, persuasion and decision, implementation, and confirmation, as well as communication channels, timeframe, and social systems. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and review of document contents. The stages of innovation in the process of adopting innovation are: The stage of public knowledge acquires knowledge through socialization. The most effective approach to the persuasion stage is the approach through fish processing training. In the implementation phase, the community implements the GEMARIKAN program by making processed fishery products. In the confirmation stage, the entire community implements the GEMARIKAN program. Communication channels, the majority of people use interpersonal media. The social system of the majority of people is included in the Early Majority recipient group.

Abstract

ABSTRAKDesa Kota Bangun Ulu mempunyai satu pengolah ikan salai yang bernama Busu Asru. Ikan salai baung Busu Asru ini sudah dikenal oleh banyak masyarakat dan usaha tersebut sudah berjalan selama 17 tahun. Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk menganalisis pendapatan dan kelayakan dengan kriteria invesasi R/C, BEP, ROI, dan PP serta mengetahui strategi pemasaran yang dilakukan oleh pengolah ikan salai baung Busu Asru yang berada di Desa Kota Bangun Ulu Kecamatan Kota Bangun Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 1 orang dengan menggunakan Metode Sensus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendapatan usaha pengolahan ikan salai baung Busu Asru sebesar Rp. 4.803.754/bln dan usaha tersebut layak untuk dijalankan. Strategi pemasaran yang telah dilakukan dalam usaha pengolahan ikan salai baung Busu Asru yaitu, pengembangan produk dengan melakukan: pengecapan produk, cara pembungkusan dan penempelan etiket, jaminan dan jasa produk, teknik memperbesar penjualan dengan melakukan: penyampaian reklame harian, bentuk adverstising institutional adverstising, siasat harga dengan menerapkan: penetapan harga sesungguhnya (right price), pengaturan fisik dan cara-cara memperagakan barang secara close display.Kata Kunci: Analisis Kelayakan, Ikan salai, Kota Bangun Ulu, Strategi PemasaranABSTRACTKota Bangun Ulu village has one smoked catfish processor called Busu Asru smoked fish. Busu Asru smoked catfish is well known to many people and the business has been running for 17 years. This research was carried out with the aim of analyzing income and feasibility with investment criteria R/C, BEP, ROI and PP and knowing marketing strategy carried out by the Busu Asru smoked cattfish processor located in Kota Bangun Ulu Village, Kota Bangun District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. This research was conducted from January 2022 to July 2023, located in Kota Bangun Ulu Village, Kota Bangun District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The sample in this study consisted of 1 person using the Census Method. The results of the research show that the revenue from the Busu Asru smoked fish processing business is IDR. 4,803,754/month and the business is feasible to run. The marketing strategy that has been carried out in the Busu Asru smoked fish processing business is product development by product tasting, packaging and affixing labels, product guarantees and services diversivikasi. Techniques for increasing sales by delivering daily advertisements, institutional advertising, pricing tactics by setting real prices (right prices), physical arrangements and ways of displaying goods in close displays.Keywords: Feasibility Analysis, Marketing Strategy, Salai fish, Kota Bangun Ulu
