Abstract

Efforts to treat and prevent leprosy have improved, but in fact this disease is still difficult to eliminate and still a world health problem. Leprosy in childhood reflects the on going active transmission of the disease in the community as well as the efficiency of ongoing disease control programs. Effective planning to reduce the incidence of leprosy and its complications in children must be a priority. This cross-sectional study used a mixed of quantitative and qualitative methods. Quantitative data is obtained from secondary data on cases of child leprosy, while qualitative data is obtained from in-depth interviews with the person in charge of the leprosy program at the health center in the city of Mataram. Ms. Excel is used to analyze quantitatively and thematic test is used to analyze qualitatively (open code software). There were two cases of leprosy in children but had completed treatment and cured. The knowledge of the person in charge of the leprosy program about handling leprosy in puskesmas is quite good, but their understanding on the national strategy, especially about chemoprophylaxis is not understood comprehensively. The implementation of the leprosy prevention program at the Puskesmas has been running regularly, however currently constrained by covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has hit various countries in the world, including Indonesia, which has had a considerable impact on various fields, including the field of education. The government imposed the Large-Scale Social Restriction or PSBB policy solely to reduce the spread of the corona virus so that all activities carried out outside the home must be stopped until the Covid-19 pandemic subsides. As a result, the teaching and learning process must be carried out online from their respective homes in order to minimize the spread of Covid-19. Therefore, first year medical students are more susceptible to stress than second and third year students. This study aims to describe the stress level of pre-clinical first-year medical students at the University of Mataram. This study used a cross-sectional (cross-sectional) research method, namely research conducted by observing for a moment or within a certain period and each study subject only made 1 observation during the study. The number of samples in this study amounted to 115 people. The research instrument used was the Medical Student Stressor Questionnaire. Then the results of research based on the MSSQ questionnaire have 6 domains with stressors that dominate the highest stress levels are academic stressors 62 people (53.91%). In the stress level domain, the most dominant is severe stress with the domain having the highest level of severe stress being the academic stressor domain and the one having the highest light stress being the intrapersonal and interpersonal stressor domain, but severe stress still dominates.

Abstract

Edukasi penggunaan APD).

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

West Nusa Tenggara is an archipelago province with a high potential for marine resources and fisheries, allowing many inhabitants to make a living as fishermen. Some fishermen obtain their livelihood by diving with minimal or inadequate diving equipment. They are known as traditional diver fishermen. Various health risks can be experienced by them, including respiratory system health. This research aims to determine the lung function, including Forced Vital Capacity (FVC), Forced Expiratory Volume in 1 second (FEV1), and the FEV1/FVC ratio in traditional diver fishermen who dive using the breath-hold diving technique, as well as the characteristics of their diving activities. This research is a cross-sectional study with samples obtained through consecutive sampling techniques. The research subjects comprised 23 traditional diver fishermen in Impos Beach, Medana Sub-district, North Lombok District. A descriptive analysis was conducted on the data obtained. The research results showed that the average values of FVC and FEV1 were 3.27 L/minute and 3.004 L/minute, respectively, while the FEV1/FVC ratio obtained was 91.86%. On average, they dive 4.26 times per week, and all of them perform pressure equalization maneuvers to prevent barotrauma. Before diving, 12 subjects (52.17%) performed warm-up exercises, including stretching. After diving, none of the subjects take a hot shower, get a massage, or engage in strenuous activities. The lung function of the research subjects was normal, and they have taken preventive measures to avoid diving-related illnesses.
