Abstract

Seeing the many cases of adolescent violence that occurred in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, this study was interested in examining the suitability of authoritative parenting and self-regulation abilities to the level of adolescent aggressiveness. The subjects of this study were 154 class XII students of State Senior High School 1 Sleman. The sample selection was obtained using a stratified random sampling technique. The aim is to obtain student representation from each class. Researchers use the scale as the main tool in obtaining research data on aggressiveness, authoritative parenting and self-regulation. The data was then analyzed using multiple linear regression with the SPSS V26 program. The results of the analysis showed that, simultaneously, authoritative parenting and self-regulation were very significant in suppressing the emergence of aggressiveness in adolescents (F=51.76 and Sig.=.000). Then, both authoritative parenting (Beta=-.37 with Sig.=.000) and self-regulation (Beta=-.35 with Sig.=.000) both were able to have a significant effect on adolescent aggressiveness partially. The conclusion is that adolescents need authoritative parenting at this phase; this is necessary to avoid the emergence or development of aggressiveness in adolescents. Besides that, adolescents must also be equipped with self-regulation skills because most activities are carried out without parental supervision.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the implementation of online learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in East Kalimantan during the pandemic including its challenges and key success factors. This research was a field research with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted in Samarinda, Balikpapan, and East Kutai involving 9 (nine) Islamic elementary schools (MI) in East Kalimantan using simple random sampling techniques. Data collection techniques used interview, observation, and documentation. Data were then analyzed through data display, data condensation, and conclusion drawing/verification, and presented using descriptive techniques. The results revealed that the planning of learning was through the 2013 curriculum simplification, the simplification of the syllabus and lesson plans, online learning training for teachers, preparation of facilities and infrastructure, and socialization. The implementation of learning was done by determining the time, using the learning management system (LMS), determining the appropriate method and media, applying a variety of learning, and giving assignments and assessments. Evaluation was seen from student attendance that was 60%-95%, KKM that only reached 67%, the obstacles faced, as well as solutions or follow-up carried out by schools to minimize the problems. The challenges were how to provide equal facilities and infrastructure, increase teacher, parent and student digital literacy, and to create meaningful interaction during online learning. The key success factors of online learning implementation at MI included the availability of adequate gadgets, internet data and stable internet network, consistent collaboration between teachers and parents, and readiness of teachers and students.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the challenges of madrasah teachers in the affective assessment of Islamic Religious Education based on the Independent Curriculum and to evaluate the understanding and abilities of teachers. This study uses a mixed explanatory method, with a quantitative method through a survey of 177 Islamic Religious Education teachers in East Kalimantan selected through simple random sampling from 378 teachers. Qualitative data were collected through interviews and observations. Quantitative analysis uses descriptive statistics (SPSS-25.0), and qualitative analysis uses the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. This study reveals that the main challenges in affective assessment for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers based on the Independent Curriculum include: (1) teachers' lack of understanding of religious affective assessment, (2) limited ability to carry out assessments, (3) low skills in using affective assessment methods and instruments, and (4) minimal support in terms of training, resources, and time. Teachers tend to focus more on cognitive assessments, causing students' affective assessments of religiosity to be less monitored. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of improving teacher competence in understanding and assessment skills, as well as training and resource support. Future research should develop an effective assessment training model based on the Merdeka Curriculum, including practical instruments, technology support, and collaboration between schools, government, and related parties to strengthen teacher capacity.

Abstract

Mental health has become an important issue faced by many students, one of which is bullying cases at school. These cases can occur directly or through social media, which have serious impacts on students' mental health. This study aims to see the effectiveness of the treatment given to high school students in Samarinda City. The research method used is a quantitative approach with an experimental research design, while the sampling technique used is nonprobability sampling with a purposive sampling type, where the selection of subjects is based on certain criteria and objectives. The initial number of research participants was 10 students. However, during the implementation phase, 4 students withdrew from the study, resulting in only 6 students who participated in and completed the entire experimental procedure. The results showed that it was quite effective (P = 0.040) in improving the mental health of high school students in Samarinda. In conclusion, there was an increase in mental health for high school students in Samarinda City after participating in the training.   Kesehatan mental menjadi isu penting yang dihadapi oleh banyak siswa salah satunya mengenai kasus bullying di sekolah. Kasus tersebut dapat terjadi secara langsung ataupun melalui media sosial, yang berdampak serius pada kesehatan mental siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat keefektifan perlakuan yang diberikan kepada siswa di salah satu SMA Kota Samarinda. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian eksperimen, adapun teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu nonprobability sampling dengan jenis purposive sampling, dimana pemilihan subjek berdasarkan krtiteria dan tujuan tertentu. Subjek penelitian semula berjumlah 10 siswa. Namun, dalam pelaksanaannya, 4 siswa mengundurkan diri sehingga hanya 6 siswa yang mengikuti dan menyelesaikan seluruh rangkaian eksperimen hingga akhir. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan aplikasi JASP versi 0.18.3 dengan uji Repeated Measure Anova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan cukup efektif (P=0,040) dalam meningkatkan kesehatan mental siswa salah satu SMA di Samarinda. Kesimpulannya terdapat peningkatan kesehatan mental terhadap siswa di salah satu SMA Kota Samarinda setelah mengikuti pelatihan.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan masyarakat Kecamatan Muara Muntai melalui tradisi menganyam yang berbasis pada nilai-nilai spiritual zikir dalam rangkaian adat penguburan warga. Program ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menganyam masyarakat, memperkenalkan integrasi nilai-nilai spiritual dalam tradisi budaya. Pelatihan keterampilan menganyam yang disertai dengan pemahaman nilai-nilai agama dan budaya bertujuan untuk memperkuat ikatan sosial di antara masyarakat, serta melestarikan tradisi budaya lokal. Hasil yang diharapkan dari kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai pentingnya menjaga dan melestarikan tradisi budaya yang memiliki dimensi spiritual. Program ini juga bertujuan untuk memperkuat solidaritas sosial di masyarakat. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini berhasil memberikan dampak positif dalam pemberdayaan ekonomi, pelestarian budaya, dan peningkatan kualitas spiritual masyarakat setempat.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and test an assessment model for Islamic moderation understanding of Islamic higher education (PTKI) students. The assessment model was developed based on the dimensions of Islamic moderation understanding which includes the dimensions of conceptual understanding, functional understanding, and procedural understanding. The subjects were students of Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris State Islamic University Samarinda, Tarbiyah College Balikpapan, and Islamic College Sangatta, with a total of 224 students. The data collection instrument used was a test instrument. The data obtained were then analyzed using the Confirmatory Factor Analysis technique with the LISREL 8.51 program. The results of the data analysis show that the assessment model developed for Islamic Moderation understanding of PTKI students has very good validity and reliability. All item items have a factor loading value of > 0.3 and the assessment model has a Goodness of Fit Index (GFI) > 0.90. Thus, the assessment model for Islamic moderation understanding is very appropriate to be used as a reference for further research because theoretically, it is in accordance with empirical data obtained from subjects in the field.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the level of career orientation of junior high school students as a first step in providing career interventions. The subjects in this study were junior high school students from class IX in Samarinda City, comprising three schools with 69 students. The sample selection was obtained using a stratified random sampling technique. Researchers use the career orientation scale as the research instrument, whereas the data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis and an independent t-test. The descriptive analysis results show that the career orientation level of junior high school students in Samarinda City tends to be low. The independent t-test analysis results between the three schools show no difference in the level of student career orientation (F = 0.13 and p = 0.875). Therefore, low levels of student career orientation tend to be experienced by all schools (group A, group B, and group C). Thus, the schools should socialize on the importance of career planning from the junior high school level so students can choose school majors in high school according to their potential.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh anggapan umum bahwa perpisahan orang tua sering berdampak negatif terhadap kondisi emosional, harapan hidup, dan tujuan hidup anak. Namun, temuan empiris menunjukkan adanya dinamika positif yang berkembang dari pengalaman tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi hasrat hidup bermakna serta cara remaja dari keluarga broken home dalam memaknai kehidupannya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Informan penelitian terdiri atas tiga siswa korban broken home di MTs At-Taqwa Samarinda yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik yang meliputi tahap pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun berasal dari keluarga broken home, para informan tetap memiliki hasrat hidup yang bermakna, ditunjukkan melalui cita-cita yang jelas serta motivasi untuk membahagiakan orang-orang terdekat yang memberikan dukungan emosional. Pengalaman keluarga yang tidak utuh justru membentuk kemandirian, tanggung jawab, dan pemahaman baru mengenai makna keluarga dan kehidupan melalui relasi positif serta aktivitas produktif. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya dukungan emosional dan bimbingan dari guru, konselor, dan orang tua dalam memperkuat makna hidup serta ketahanan psikologis remaja korban broken home.
