The Effectiveness of E-Learning Using Edmodo at Islamic Higher Education (PTKI) in East Kalimantan Saugi, Wildan

Abstract

A face to face instruction or lecture could not always be held for spontaneous activities such as a sudden meeting, faculty’s or institute’s activities or students’ activities which collide with the schedule. Teaching and learning activities become less effective since the lecture plans that have been set through the Semester Learning Plan could not run as planned and it influences the learning outcomes. Therefore, it needs an alternative solution that is utilizing e-learning using Edmodo because it is easy and familiar to use.This research is a pre-experimental design (non-design) using one-group pretest-posttest research design. The number of the samples was 76 students from IAIN Samarinda and STAI Sangatta. The instruments were pre-test, post-test, and questionnaires.The result of this research indicates that Edmodo based e-learning at PTKI in East Kalimantan is effective for the learning process. The two sample paired sign test towards pre-test and post-test shows that Z score is -7.330 with sig. of 0.000 and since sig. of 0.000 < 0.05, it means effective. In addition, the analysis towards questionnaires filled out by students show that Edmodo based e-learning at PTKI in East Kalimantan is effective for learning, with score percentage of 81.25% that has a very strong Score Interpretation Criteria. Key words: Effectiveness, E-learning, Edmodo

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelatihan pengolahan bahan pangan lokal yang dapat memberdayakan warga perempuan dusun Pagerjirak, Kejobong, Purbalingga. Penelitian ini merupakan participatory action research (PAR) dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari kepala dusun, tujuh anggota tim pengelola dusun, dan 15 warga perempuan dusun. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut. (1) Perencanaan partisipatoris terdiri dari identifikasi kebutuhan dusun dan penyiapan tim pengelola program dusun. (2) Pelaksanaan proses pemberdayaan melalui pelatihan dimulai dengan  menyiapkan tim pengelola, membentuk  kelompok usaha, menjalin kemitraan dengan pihak pemerintah dan swasta, membangun rumah produksi, mengajukan izin produksi, produksi dan pemasaran produk,  melakukan studi banding ke industri rumah tangga, melakukan perbaikan dan diversifikasi produk, dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan massal, dan pendampingan. (3) Indikator keberhasilan pelatihan diantaranya adalah bertambahnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan warga, serta diperolehnya pendapatan hasil usaha penjualan produk. (4) Keberlanjutan program pemberdayaan perempuan ditunjukkan dengan telah adanya pengembangan produk atau variasi produk dan terbentuknya kemandirian tim.Kata Kunci: pemberdayaan perempuan, pelatihan, bahan pangan lokal Woman Empowerment Through Local Produce Processing TrainingsAbstractThis research aims to reveal the local produce processing that can empower women in Pagerjirak, Kejobong, Purbalingga. This research was participatory action research with the qualitative and quantitative approach. The research subject consisted of the village chief, core team consisting of seven people, and 15 women in the village. The research data were obtained through observations, interviews, and documentation. The results of research are as follows. (1) The participatory planning consists of need analysis and preparing management team. (2) The training processes are conducted by preparing the management team, building the business unit, creating relation with the government and private sectors, building production houses, applying for production permits, producing and marketing, comparative study to home industry, reflecting, improving, and diversifying product, holding massive, and mentoring. (3) The indicators of a successful training are the improvement of knowledge and skills of women, and the profit of product sales. (4) The sustainability of women empowerment program are product development or diversification and the management team becomes more and more independent.Keywords: woman empowerment, training, local produce

Abstract

This research aims to improve the creativity skill of children at early age through play by using plasticine in the group of B2 at TK IT Salsabila Samarinda. The type of the research is classroom action research with three cycles. The aspects assessed on the children?s creativity skill are fluency, originality, flexibility and detail. The result of the classroom action research shows an improvement on the children?s creativity skill through plasticine media during the pre-cycle, cycle I, cycle II, and clycle III.&nbsp; The children?s creativity skill on the pre-cycle is 9% with undeveloped or poor category and 27% on the cycle I with undeveloped or poor category. Then, on the cycle II it increases to 47% with developing or fair category and on the cycle III it becomes 93% with well-developed or very good category. It shows that play by using plasticine can improve the creativity of children at early age.

Abstract

Along with the development of science and technology, traditional games that can develop children’s skills still exist. One of them is dakon. This research is a classroom research aimed to develop arithmetic skills at Raudhatul Athfal Al Kamal 1 Palaran Samarinda. The research subjects were 12 students with 6 males and 6 females. The traditional game dakon focuses on introducing number 1-20, mentioning the number order 1-20, and sorting numbers of dakon. This research was carried out through two cycles with three meetings each cycle. The result of research shows that before the treatment the students’ skill is 0%. After the treatment, the skill on the cycle 1 is 31% with developing criteria. On the cycle 2, the skill is 77% with well-developed criteria. Thus, it can be concluded that the traditional game dakon can develop the students’ arithmetic skills of Raudhatul Athfal Al Kamal 1 Palaran, Samarinda.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui bagaimana pola asuh orang tua dalam menstimulasi kemandirian anak usia dini di Mangkujenang Dalam Simpang Pasir Palaran, Samarinda. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 10 orang tua dan 10 anak. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data menggunakan tringulasi sumber dan triangulasi metode. Tehnik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa orang tua di Mangkujenang Dalam, menggunakan pola asuh yang berbeda-beda dalam menstimulasi kemandirian anak, sebagai berikut: (1) Orang tua sangat dominan dalam mengambil keputusan dan aturan, Orang tua membuat peraturan secara sepihak tanpa melibatkan anak, Orang tua memiliki kontrol  yang ketat terhadap perilaku anak, dan Orang tua sering mengancam atau menghukum melalui lisan maupun fisik. Cara seperti ini merupakan ciri-ciri pola asuh otoriter. (2) Orang tua mendorong anak untuk membicarakan keinginan, cita-cita, dan kebutuhan anak, Orang tua berkerja sama dengan anak, Orang tua mengarahkandan membimbing anak, dan Orang tua tidak kaku terhadap kontrol anak. Cara seperti ini merupakan ciri-ciri pola asuh demokratis. (3) Orang tua memberikan kebebasan penuh pada anak dalam bertindak, Anak lebih mendominasi, Orang tua memiliki sikap bebas, Orang tua tidak membimbing dan mengarahkan anak. Cara seperti ini merupakan ciri-ciri pola asuh permisif.  Pola asuh demokratis, permisif dan otoriter bisa menstimulasi kemandirian anak. Pola asuh demokratis dan permisif lebih mendominasi dalam menstimulasi kemandirian anak dari pada pola asuh otoriter di Mangkujenang Dalam.
