Abstract

Community Service: Training for Student Affairs Vice Principals' Work Program Development in Pekanbaru. This outreach activity was conducted by the faculty members of the Master's Program in Management at the Graduate School of Universitas Lancang Kuning. The participants included 18 vice principals from state high schools (SMAN), 10 from vocational schools (SMKN), and 4 from state Islamic schools (MAN), totaling 32 vice principals. The objective of this initiative was to enhance the competencies of student affairs vice principals in addressing and anticipating various teenage misbehaviors prevalent in today's society. The training aimed to foster the creation of effective work programs that would nurture students' character and creativity while promoting the development of scientific and technological knowledge that benefits the local community, nation, and country. The benefits derived from this program included the formulation of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual work programs for student affairs vice principals in SMAN, SMKN, and MAN throughout Pekanbaru, with a focus on character building, student behavior, and creativity, while also preserving Riau Malay Culture. Furthermore, the training aimed to proactively address the impact of media on adolescent behavior, especially among secondary school students. The anticipated outcomes of this training endeavor aimed to make a positive contribution to the local community, nation, and country at large.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan dampak dukungan sosial pimpinan terhadap work family balance pada tenaga kesehatan di Puskesmas Kec. Bagan Sinembah. Secara khusus, penelitian ini menggunakan mekanisme work family balance atau keseimbangan antara keluarga dan pekerjaan di tempat kerja sebagai mekanisme psikologis yang mendasari hubungan kedua variabel tersebut. Dengan melibatkan responden berjumlah 68 orang yang bekerja sebagai tenaga kesehatan di Puskesmas Kec. Bagan Sinembah dan menggunakan analisis SEM-PLS, dimana penelitian ini menemukan bahwa dukungan sosial pimpinan yang dirasakan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Work Family Balance, sedangkan dukungan sosial keluarga yang dirasakan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap work family balance. Implikasi manajerial yang dirasakan pegawai pada penelitian ini yaitu dukungan sosial pimpinan mampu meningkatkan kepuasan kerja, melalui work family balance, dan dukungan sosial keluarga terhadap work family balance, sehingga terciptanya kepuasan kerja bagi tenaga kesehatan di Puskesmas Kec. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui menjelaskan dan menganalisis pengaruhpengaruh dukungan sosial Co-Woker Exchange dan Keterikatan Kerja diPemerintahan Kabupaten Rokan Hulu. Sampel yang diambil dalam penelitianini adalah sebanyak 178 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakankuesioner. Teknis analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah dengan StructuralEquation Modelling (SEM) dengan menggunakan SmartPLS 3.0 sebagai alatpengolahan data. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Perceived co-wokers Support berpengaruh Positif dan Signifikan terhadap Keterikatan Kerja,Perceived co-wokers Support berpengaruh Positif dan Signifikan terhadap Co-wokers Exchange, Co-wokers Exchange berpengaruh Positif dan Signifikanterhadap Keterikatan Kerja. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa Co-wokersexchange memediasi hubungan antara Perceived co-wokers support terhadapKeterikatan Kerja di Instansi Pemerintahan Kabupaten Rokan Hulu.Kata Kunci: Dukungan Sosial, Co-Woker Exchange, Keterikatan Kerja.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the impact of leadership social support on work family balance in health workers at the Kec. Bagan Sinembah. Specifically, this study uses the Work Family Balance mechanism/balance between family and work at work as the psychological mechanism that underlies the relationship between the two variables. By involving 71 respondents who worked as health workers. Sinembah Chart and using SEM-PLS analysis, in which this study found that perceived leadership social support had a positive and significant effect on Work Family Balance, while perceived family social support had a positive and significant effect on Work Family Balance. Furthermore, this study found that Work Family Balance / family and work balance at work mediates the relationship between perceived social support and job satisfaction of Health Workers in Kec. Bagan Sinembah. The managerial implications felt by employees in this study are that social support from leaders can increase job satisfaction, through Work Family Balance, and family social support for Work Family Balance, so as to create Job Satisfaction for Health Workers at the Kec. Bagan Sinembah. Furthermore, this study found that work-family balance at work mediates the relationship between perceived social support and job satisfaction of health workers at the Puskesmas Kec. Bagan Sinembah

Abstract

Pemilu tahun 2024 memperlihatkan adanya pergeseran demografi pemilih, dimana pemilih yang termasuk dalam kategori pemilih muda secara kuantitatif mencapai 56,45% dari seluruh DPT yang ditetapkan Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU). Angka tersebut memunculkan keprihatinan karena pemuda cenderung didefinisikan sebagai symbol partisipatif daripada sebagai agen perubahan yang perlu didorong sebagai subjek politik. Survei Centre for Strategic and International Studies (2022) menunjukkan sekitar 59% pemuda mengandalkan media sosial sebagai sumber utama informasi pemilu, meskipun media social sering gagal menyajikan informasi yang valid mengenai rekam jejak kandidat (Fernandes et al., 2023). Namun, media sosial KPU yang seharusnya menjadi sumber valid, perannya cenderung pada publikasi liputan harian dan informasi yang lebih bersifat teknis dalam pemilu. KPU sebagai lembaga publik yang independen perlu menjadi lebih publik dengan publikasi informasi lebih substansial daripada informasi yang cenderung biroktatis. Oleh karena itu, KPU perlu mengubah paradigma dan memperlakukan pemuda sebagai subjek politik yang dapat berpikir kritis, salah satu caranya adalah secara terbuka memberikan informasi profil dan rekam jejak para peserta pemilu dan mendorong peserta pemilu serius mempublikasikan perhatiannya terhadap isu-isu yang menjadi persoalan publik. KPU juga perlu mempertimbangkan segmentasi pemilih di kalangan generasi pemuda, seperti segmen pemilih muda rasional, pemilih muda yang menyukai politik ringan dan sederhana dengan berselancar di media sosial, dan pemilih muda yang terafiliasi secara ideologis dengan organisasi kepemudaan, khususnya dalam mendesain konten publikasi yang akan menjadi public space dan public sphere anak muda dalam mengadopsi informasi yang valid, sekaligus mendorong generasi muda terlibat sebagai Smart Digital Activism.Lanskap pemilu Tahun 2024 perlu dipandang secara serius seperti dalam penelitian Dettman & Pepinsky (2022), menunjukkan bahwa terdapat keterkaitan antara demografi dan perilaku memilih pada pemilu, termasuk cara pemilih mengakses informasi kepemiluan. Karakteristik demografi seperti usia, jenis kelamin, dan tingkat pendidikan dapat memengaruhi preferensi dalam menentukan pilihannya (Dettman & Pepinsky, 2023).

Abstract

Damage to mangrove ecosystems due to abrasion and deforestation has affected the community, especially those who have a livelihood as traditional fishermen because of the decline in their catch from an average of 50 kg per day to 20 kg per day. This condition has raised the awareness of the local community to protect the mangrove ecosystem by forming the Pokmaswas Masyarakat Tangguh dan Peduli Mangrove Dumai (MASTALI MADU). However, in carrying out its activities there are various challenges and obstacles due to limited abilities, knowledge, infrastructure and budget support. This research aims to develop the capacity of Pokmaswas MASTALI MADU in the form of 1) Individual capacity development, 2) Organizational management, 3) Facilities and infrastructure, and 4) group operational budget support. To develop the capacity of Pokmaswas, the support and role of relevant stakeholders such as BRGM, Riau Province LHK Office, Dumai City Government, PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan, and Riau University as the supervising university are needed. The synergy of all these components is expected to strengthen the Capacity Development of Pokmaswas MASTALI MADU in maintaining the mangrove ecosystem in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Blood cockles (Anadara granosa) are one of the aquatic commodities with high economic value and represent a sector with significant potential for economic development. The existence of  coastal ecosystems in Rokan Hilir plays a crucial role in supporting blood cockle cultivation. These ecosystems not only provide a suitable habitat for blood cockle growth but also a sustainable base for various other economic activities. Proper management policies for these ecosystems are essential for the sustainable development of  blood cockle cultivation. The aims of  this research are to identify the policies related to the development of  blood cockle (Anadara granosa) cultivation and to assess the existence of coastal ecosystems in Rokan Hilir, Riau. Additionally, this research aims to raise awareness among the government, private sector, and public about the importance of sustainable coastal resource and ecosystem management. It also seeks to provide insights into the economic potential of blood cockle cultivation to improve community welfare. This research used a qualitative descriptive method, involving interviews with blood cockle farmers, collectors, and local government officials. Secondary data collection and direct observations at the cultivation sites were also conducted . This research found several findings, such as: Environmental Impact, blood cockle cultivation can have both positive and negative  environmental impacts.  Sustainable  Development Strategies,  developing  blood  cockle  cultivation requires a holistic approach and the adoption of  environmentally friendly cultivation models. The application of  technology in blood cockle farming is also a key strategy for sustainable development. Regulations and Policies, there is a lack of  regulations regarding blood cockle cultivation and coastal management policies, including price control policies, seed collection regulations, and land allocation for farming, which sometimes lead to criminal activities. There are also no policies in place to develop effective technology for cul tivating blood cockle seeds. Based on the research findings, it is necessary to provide regular guidance, monitoring, and evaluation  for  blood  cockle  farmers.  Additionally,  relevant  authorities  should  formulate  appropriate regulations, develop training and extension programs, facilitate research and development of  blood cockle farming technology, and promote collaboration and synergy among all sectors.

Abstract

This research explores the relationship between the school principal's leadership style and teachers' work discipline in State Senior High Schools Pekanbaru, Riau. The study adopts a quantitative approach with a survey method and correlation technique. Through random sampling, the research involves 40 teachers from eleven State Senior High Schools in Pekanbaru. Data collection is conducted using a questionnaire, which has been calibrated with validity testing using Pearson Product Moment and reliability coefficient with Cronbach's Alpha formula. The research results indicate a relationship between the leadership style of school principals and the discipline of teachers in State Senior High Schools in Pekanbaru. The significance testing of a correlation coefficient of 0.51 supports this relationship. It suggests a moderate connection between the principal's leadership style and teacher discipline. This study implies that enhancing teacher discipline can be achieved through the role of the school principal's leadership style. In other words, a correlation of 0.51 indicates that the principal's role in leading and guiding teachers can have a positive impact on their work discipline, and these efforts may be crucial in achieving a higher quality of education.
