Abstract

This research is giving a comprehension about some factors that could affect the Economic Growth using Endogenous Growth theory on countries in Association South East Asia Nation (ASEAN) in facing the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) that will be open at the end of 2015. This research is using a linear regression model with panel data period of 2001-2013. Based on the Hausman test, the random effect model has been preferred over the fixed effect model. The findings chose 2 variables with the mot effect on Economic Growth, there are Human Capital-life expectancy (HKle), and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). The choise of ASEAN has been made because there are very little research 2 about HK and FDI, and also because the major countries in this associaton are still in development countries

Abstract

SME based on innovation in East Java is the stimulus for economic growth in Indonesia, with the potential to absorb a lot of labor so the problem of unemployment can be reduced, contribution to GDP (over 50%) and contribution to the growth rate. However unprepared SMEs, because of poor access to markets and lack of reliable human resources (many SMEs are still not being able to categorize the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) affect SME based innovation in East Java has not been able to create strategies to expand its business. In other words, the potential of SMEs based on innovation in East Java has not been explored to the fullest. Based on the SWOT analysis, the strategy to develop the SME-based on innovation in East Java is strategy S-O (the orientation of excellent products to consumer preferences, fostering the SME-based on innovation, orientation to capital and credit facilities to the orientation of opportunity), S-T Strategy (institutional strengthening, creation of a conducive business), Strategy W-O (orientation clusters industrial centers of SMEs to various resources and information, production orientation to the broad market to market orientation specific, the orientation of the product packaging as it is to the modern consumer word of Mouth Marketing), Strategy W-T (based strategy resource to provide long-term competitiveness, establish close relationships with suppliers, training and education) and other supporting strategies (strategies to face of intense competition, the marketing of products strategies, strategies to choose business fields).

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is different value between exportand import performance before ACFTA and after ACFTA by developing hypothesis from the previous studies. To test the proposed hypothesis, this Study employed the independent samples t-test with data from the World Bank database. The case study was carried out with concern on textile business between Indonesia and China. The results indicate that the exports value has different mean following the free trade agreement. Similar result occurs at the import value of textile from China toIndonesia.

Abstract

This study discusses about imported cosmetic products which are beauty products that are becoming a great choice for Indonesian women, where most of the imported products have higher quality brand than local products. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach that is empirical inductive namely data collection, data analysis, based on facts and previous research in the field. This research uses a quantitative approach through a survey method and is carried out with an explanatory approach using a Likert scale. Respondents were asked to convey their level of agreement about the values and influences between the variables to be measured. The analytical method used in this study is the the method of multiple linear analysis with statistical methods using the Statistical Solution and Services (SPSS) version 24 software tools.The results of the analysis that have been done show that Brand Image has a significant effect on purchasing decisions, this result is proven by a significance value greater than 5%. Brand awareness also has a significant effect on purchasing decisions, this result is evidenced by the significance value greater than 5%. Perception of Price has a significant effect on purchasing decisions, this result is evidenced by the significance value greater than 5%.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 memberikan dampak bagi perekonomian Indonesia. Kampoeng Batik Laweyan sebagai salah satu pusat industri batik Indonesia juga merasakan dampak dari pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan memahami cara atau solusi yang dilakukan pemilik usaha batik untuk mempertahankan usahanya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian interpretatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dan data-data sekunder terkait. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi bertahan yang dilakukan meliputi penurunan harga produk, melakukan inovasi produk, sistem pemesanan (by order), promosi, menjaga etika dalam berbisnis, dan meningkatkan kualitas produk. Melalui hasil penelitian ini dapat membantu para pemilik usaha batik menemukan solusi yang tepat untuk menjaga usaha bisnis tetap bertahan dan eksis di tengah pandemi COVID-19 ini.

Abstract

Sektor industri menjadi faktor utama pertumbuhan ekonomi terhadap perekonomian nasional sebesar 33,45%, dengan pertumbuhan yang secara segnifikan tersebut negara memiliki tekat untuk memperkuat potensi dan daya saing agar terus bertumbuh. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui faktor apa saja yang dapat mempengaruhi performa dari industri pengolahan dalam skala usaha mikro dan kecil yang ditinjau dari kegiatan ekspor. Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Bentuk Badan Usaha, Pendapatan Dalam Setahun, Modal, Sumber Modal Utama, Kesulitan Industri Mikro dan Kecil, Kesulitan Bahan Baku, Penggunaan Internet, Konsumen Utama, Alokasi Pemasaran, Serta Konsumen dan Banyaknya Produksi Untuk Perusahaan. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan data yang diambil dari publikasi Badan Pusat Statistik tentang Profil Industri Mikro dan Kecil 2019. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan metode Two Step Cluster pada software SPSS 25. Penelitian ini memberikan hasil dua cluster sebagai berikut: Cluster 1 terdiri dari 31 provinsi, sedangkan Cluster 2 hanya 3 provinsi.
