Abstract

Inventory management of raw materials is a crucial aspect in ensuring the smooth production process of the palm oil industry. This study examines the effectiveness of integrating forecasting models and Material Requirement Planning (MRP) to optimize the inventory of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) raw materials at PT Salapian Indo Sawit. The palm oil industry in Indonesia represents about 3.5% of the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and provides employment for more than 17 million people. Inaccuracies in raw material inventory management lead to disruptions in the production process and inefficiencies in operational costs. The literature review shows that MRP methods with lot-for-lot techniques have been effectively implemented in various industries, but their application in the palm oil sector is still limited. The objective of this research is to analyze optimal forecasting methods for CPO raw material requirements and evaluate the efficiency of MRP implementation compared to conventional methods. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of forecasting methods (Moving Average and Single Exponential Smoothing) with MRP specifically for the palm oil industry, considering the unique characteristics of the palm oil supply chain. The study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with demand and historical production data from June 2020 to May 2021. The results indicate that the Single Exponential Smoothing method with ?=0.5 provides the best forecasting accuracy (MAPE=0.120; MSE=436.17). Implementing MRP with lot-for-lot techniques results in significant efficiencies, including a reduction in order frequency (26.67%), a reduction in order quantity (7.63%), and a reduction in initial inventory (8.10%). This study concludes that integrating an accurate forecasting model with the MRP system is effective for optimizing CPO raw material inventory and enhancing the operational efficiency of the company.

Abstract

Pengabdian pada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membantu masyarakat dalam mengolah limbah botol plastik menjadi produk bernilai ekonomis di Desa Empus, Kabupaten Langkat, Sumatera Utara. Pengabdian ini dilakukan melalui penyuluhan dan pelatihan. Tim melakukan analisa tentang penerapan K3 di PDAM Tirtanadi. Dari hasil analisa lapangan, diperoleh bahwa terdapat beberapa area kerja yang licin dan mengandung bahan kimia berbahaya yang belum terpasang poster atau peringatan yang berkaitan dengan keselamatan kerja. Oleh karena itu, tim pengabdian memberi rekomendasi perbaikan untuk pemasangan poster atau banner di area kerja tersebut

Abstract

Pemerintah Provinsi Sumatera Utara, melalui Perumda Xyz, berkomitmen untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan air limbah di Medan dengan mengelola sistem perpipaan dan pembuangan lumpur. Sejak 1991, Perumda Xyz telah menyediakan layanan pengelolaan air limbah domestik yang kini terintegrasi dengan Instalasi Pengolahan Lumpur Tinja (IPLT). Pengawasan yang efektif dalam pembangunan jaringan perpipaan air limbah sangat penting untuk memastikan kualitas proyek sesuai dengan spesifikasi teknis dan kontrak. Proses pengawasan melibatkan perencanaan matang, pengendalian bahan, pelaksanaan pekerjaan, serta pengukuran kelurusan dan kemiringan pipa. Tujuan dari pengawasan ini adalah untuk mengoptimalkan efisiensi, memastikan penyelesaian tepat waktu, dan meminimalkan penyimpangan yang dapat memengaruhi kualitas serta keberlanjutan proyek. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif untuk menganalisis efektivitas pengawasan dalam memastikan kualitas pengelolaan air limbah dan layanan terkait di Perumda Xyz. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan pengawas lapangan, kontraktor, serta observasi langsung di lokasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pengawasan sangat efektif dalam meminimalkan risiko seperti kebocoran, penyumbatan, dan aliran yang tidak sesuai dalam sistem perpipaan. Dengan menerapkan prosedur yang sesuai dengan standar ISO 9001:2015 dan prosedur internal Perumda Xyz, proyek ini diharapkan dapat mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan dan memberikan manfaat jangka panjang bagi masyarakat.

Abstract

The harvesting process for each plant is different according to the time. The harvesting process to achieve maximum results is carried out by maintenance, fertilization and watering. The harvesting process for chilies, tomatoes, eggplants, pumpkins, long beans, peanuts and cassava. Harvesting is done by pulling out such as peanuts, by pulling out plants with loose soil, the pulling process is very easy to do, so that it will produce peanuts in the soil. Likewise, cassava harvesting is done by pulling out or pulling the tree trunk until the cassava fruit is also pulled. Chilies, tomatoes, eggplants, long beans and pumpkins are harvested by picking them. The fastest harvest time is tomatoes 60 days. The longest time to harvest is cassava up to 240 days. Abstract

This community service aims to help the community increase insight into the use of digital media and ethics in using social media for mothers who are members of the IKBI (Ikatan Keluarga Besar Istri) PTPN III Sei Mangke through outreach. Mothers can innovate to carry out businesses or business activities using internet media and those related to the digital world. Then what the author will discuss in community service is how to respond to technological advances because in the current millennial era it is very vulnerable to cyber crimes and bullying which are currently rampant on every existing social media, in order to earn money. Many content creators/digital artists make viral videos using YouTube media, and of course the aim is to find an audience and earn money. With this, sometimes there are a lot of irregularities, namely: creating fake news/Hoaxes, pitting people against each other, defaming someone's good name through uploaded content. So it is very closely related to the ITE Law, which can lead to criminal acts.
