Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep pada peserta didik. Rendahnya pemahaman konsep ini disebabkan oleh penggunaan pola pikir yang rendah pada proses perubahan konseptual. Peneliti mencoba menerapkan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle dan model pembelajaran Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen desain kelompok pembanding pretes dan postest (pretest-posttest comparasion group design). Perolehan data dilakukan dengan tes (pretes postes), LKS dan pedoman observasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik persentase dan Uji z. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: pertama, pemahaman konsep pada peserta didik dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle dan Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) mengalami peningkatan setelah perlakuan. Kedua, sebagian besar indikator pemahaman konsep telah dikuasai oleh peserta didik. Indikator yang belum optimal dikuasai adalah kemampuan mencontohkan (exemplifying). Ketiga, masih terdapat peserta didik yang mengalami miskonsepsi dan tidak menguasai konsep. Keempat, efektifitas penerapan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle dan Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) dapat disimpulkan: pertama, terjadi peningkatan aktivitas peserta didik yang mendukung efektivitas pembelajaran yang mencerminkan proses pembelajaran dari pertemuan kesatu, kedua dan ketiga mengalami perkembangan ke arah lebih baik. Kedua, guru berupanya memberi dorongan kepada peserta didik untuk selalu mengikuti pembelajaran dengan baik. Nilai afeksi dan non kognitif lainnya diperhatikan oleh guru sebagai upaya memberikan pembelajaran lain selain materi yang sedang dipelajari oleh peserta didik. Berdasarkan hal tersebut guru berperan baik dalam proses pembelajaran dan mendukung terhadap efektifitas pembelajaran yang dilakukan. Kata kunci: model pembelajaran, learning cycle, SSCS, pemahaman konsep

Abstract

Implementasi dari profesionalitas, maka dosen dituntut untuk melaksanakan proses pembelajaran yang prima dimulai dari perencanaan, proses pembelajaran dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Ini sejalan dengan bentuk pelayanan prima berdasarkan prinsip pelayanan kepada mahasiswa dalam hal proses pembelajaran. Pembelajaran kolaboratif dalam pelaksanaannya mengandung unsur-unsur pelayanan kepada mahasiswa berdasarkan prinsip partisipatif, transparan, responsif, dan tidak diskriminatif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui bagaimana penerapan dan respon mahasiswa terhadap model pembelajaran kolaboratif pada kegiatan perkuliahan. Jenis penelitian yaitu deskriptif. Sumber data berupa pengamatan dan kuesioner respon mahasiswa terhadap penerapan pembelajaran kolaboratif. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui bagaimana penerapan dan respon mahasiswa terhadap model pembelajaran kolaboratif pada kegiatan perkuliahan. Berdasarkan penelitian, mahasiswa dapat menjelaskan konsep materi, dan mencontohkan implementasi di lapangan. Interaksi dalam kelompok menunjukkan adanya motivasi dan sikap diri yang positif. Mereka sendiri mampu mengarahkan tujuan dan hasil proses diskusi. Kesadaran untuk mencari informasi untuk memahami materi, bagaimana cara mencontohkan, dan menjelaskan materi menjadi penting untuk dilakukan.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate land-use changes in the city of Manado against the occurrence of floods in 2021. Analysis of land-use changes was carried out using the overlay method on maps in 2013 and 2020 with the help of GIS. The runoff coefficient value is obtained based on the land use approach by using the runoff coefficient value table to determine the relationship between land use and runoff. The results of the study show that in the period 2013–2020 there have been changes in land use that disrupt hydrological functions. Forest land, mixed gardens, and shrubs decreased by 529.83 ha (3.48%), and conversely built-up land and open land increased by 124.14 ha (0.83%) which triggered an increase in surface runoff causing flooding. The increasing fulfillment of living needs along with population growth of 34,339 people (8.18%) in 7 years requires additional land for settlement, agriculture, and supporting infrastructure. Land-use change weakens hydrological functions and contributes to increased runoff. 17% of the rainfall in 2013 and 18% in 2020 will be a runoff. Rainfall in January 2014 and January 2021 was classified as very high (>500 mm). It can be stated that the flash floods that occurred in Manado in January 2014 and 2021 were triggered by land use and high rainfall factors.

Abstract

Lingkungan perkotaan yang ramah bagi pejalan kaki adalah lingkungan perkotaan yang manusiawi dengan ukuran dan dimensi berdasarkan skala keutuhan manusia. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan dan kualitas kawasan pedestrian di Indonesia, khususnya Yogyakarta. Penelitian dilakukan melalui observasi dan studi pustaka. Kemudian hasil observasi dielaborasikan untuk mendukung analisa dan pembahasan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pedestrian yang ada belum memenuhi persyaratan ideal. Perlu dilakukan upaya pembangunan pedestrian yang mendukung penciptaan lingkungan perkotaan yang sesuai dengan karakteristik penduduknya.Elemen perkotaan yang strategis untuk dijadikan area pedestrian adalah ruas-ruas jalan di pusat kota dan utamanya didedikasikan bagi pejalan kaki. Namun selain untuk pejalan kaki, dalam perkembangannya pedestrian juga sangatlah erat kaitannya dengan tumbuhnya atmosfir perdagangan. Hal yang demikian ini sangatlah cocok untuk merevitalisasi suatu kawasan.

Abstract

Coastal abrasion in Kofiau District, Raja Ampat Regency has an impact on physical damage to the coastal landscape and the impact on the social environment, namely the interaction of the physical-social environment and the changes in social life that accompany it. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of coastal abrasion and its effect on the social environment of the community in Kofiau District, Raja Ampat Regency. The research method used is qualitative. There were six sources of information consisting of village heads, community, religious leaders, education leaders, youth, and the community establishing coastal abrasion. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis technique is carried out by data reduction, data presentation, and concluding each research data. The results showed: 1) there was damage to the landscape as part of the physical condition of the abrasion beach, namely the erosion of land along the coast, people losing their homes and homestays, damaged village connecting roads, and the destruction of wave barriers. 2) some people lost their jobs in the tourism sector as a result of the destruction of homestays and cafes as a means of supporting tourism activities. 3) some people want to use relocation to a safer place, but choose to survive because life has merged with coastal life. 4) efforts to reduce the impact of abrasion are the construction of embankments, maintenance of coral reefs, and planting of mangrove trees.

Abstract

Perception affects the environmental behavior of forest resources. This study aims to determine the effect of perceptions on the environment behavior of forest resources in Sukamaju Village, Cihaurbeuti District, Ciamis Regency. The research method uses a moderating variable regression model. The research subjects are the people living around the forest area, categorized based on their work background. The results showed that the perception would increase along with the ongoing learning process. The longer the study, the more preference for decision-making in the use of forest resources. Besides being influenced by perception, behavior is also influenced by determinants of the physical and social environment, which predominantly work as a moderating variable that can weaken and strengthen the influence of perception on behavior. Working as a socio-cultural behavior will have implications for the level of individual and community interests collectively in the utilization of forest resources. The higher the intensity of dependence and use of forest resources, the more likely it affects the consistency of perceptions and behavior due to occupation factors. Based on this, the work strengthens the effect of perception on the environmental behavior of forest resources.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how the application of the inquiry learning model to student learning outcomes in Geography subjects at SMA Negeri 5 Halmahera Utara. Non-randomized control group pretest and posttest design were used in the research method, which is a quasi-experimental approach. The findings show the strong influence of the inquiry learning model on student learning outcomes for lithosphere material in the subject of Geography. This shows that the results of the posttest data analysis test using a t-test with a significance threshold of 0.05, where tcount > ttable is 14.91 > 1.76, is significant. Based on observations, the application of the inquiry learning model in the experimental class compared to conventional learning, its application was at a very good level of 93%.

Abstract

This research aims to identify internal and external factors that support the development of tourist attractions as well as strategies that need to be implemented in developing the Uluna natural baths tourist attraction. The analysis technique uses SWOT with a qualitative descriptive approach. The research results show that based on IFAS (0.5) and EFAS (1.80), the position of Uluna Natural Baths is in quadrant I, meaning it has advantages with the power to take advantage of development opportunities. The strategy implemented is an aggressive growth strategy (growth-oriented strategy). The recommended strategy is Strength-Opportunities (S-O). The strategies that need to be implemented are improving the quality of infrastructure to support tourism development, maximizing the management of existing tourism potential, optimizing community participation and awareness in preserving and introducing tourist objects and natural products, improving the performance of tourism managers by completing socio-economic facilities to support community activities in carrying out tourism activities, as well as making government regulations regarding the management of the Uluna natural baths as a tourist attraction.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the environmental impact of sea sand mining in Sathean village, Kei Kecil sub-district, Southeast Maluku district. This study focuses on the state of the environment around marine sand mining and the impacts of these activities. Qualitative research is the chosen research method. The results show that marine sand mining damages the biological quality of marine and coastal waters through increased abrasion. Economic income for miners and mining workers increases as a result of social conditions caused by sea sand mining, but decreases for fishing communities due to reduced fish catches and pearl cultivators because pearl growth is not optimal due to damage to the aquatic environment.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of implementing the guided discovery model on class X geography learning at SMA Negeri 5 Toraja Utara. The research method used is a quantitative method. The research location is at SMA Negeri 5 Toraja Utara. Data collection techniques are observation, tests and documentation. The population in the research is class X with a total of 96 students and the sample is 20 people. The data analysis technique used is descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the research show that the value of tcal is 12.98 and ttable is 2.10092, tcal>ttable= 12.98 >2.10092. At the Sig α level there is a test of 2 variables with the result at t0.05 value ttable= 2.10092, so it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means that the guided discovery model has a positive influence in improving the geography result at SMA Negeri 5 Toraja Utara.
