Abstract

The development of religious and language values in early childhood requires proper stimulation from parents as the primary educators. However, many parents face difficulties in planning and implementing stimulation activities consistently, especially after the pandemic, many early childhood children experience delays in the development of religious and language values. This study explores the need to develop parent daily journal materials to support the stimulation of children's religious and language value development, identify factors of parental involvement, and evaluate the role of daily journals in overcoming post-pandemic problems. This study used a mixed method with an exploratory sequential design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, closed questionnaires, and participatory observations from 30 parents in Palembang City. The results showed that 86.67% of parents felt that journals made it easier to record development, 73.33% were helped in stimulation, and 76.67% experienced increased knowledge. However, 93.33% of parents were still confused about choosing the right activities. So that development was carried out on the material for stimulating activities for the development of religious and language values in early childhood through fun activities at home. This study highlights the importance of practical tools to support informal education at home.

Abstract

This study aims to get an overview of student needs for teaching materials during the covid-19 pandemic. The subjects in this study were 47 students of the out-of-school education study program class of 2020/2021. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The data in this study were obtained from the results of a questionnaire distributed using a google form that has been provided by the researcher to find out the responses of students of out-of-school education study programs to the need for teaching materials during online lectures during the pandemic. The results obtained from the analysis of student needs for teaching materials during the pandemic are: first, during the pandemic in online lectures, as many as 91.5% of students are more interested in finding references or lecture materials digitally. Second, as many as 66.7% of students stated that the reason for choosing digital teaching materials was that they were practical to use. Third, 100% of students need interesting digital teaching materials. Fourth, as much as 76.6% can increase student motivation in learning. Fifth, for the form of teaching materials needed by students, as many as 82.6% of students need Android-based interactive textbooks because they are easy to access anywhere and easy to understand. This shows that students need teaching materials that support the lecture process during the pandemic, where lectures are conducted online.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop and determine the validity and practicality of the content of public education innovation materials on the Android-based PLS.edu application in the Public Education Study Program, FKIP Sriwijaya University. The research method used is research and development using the ADDIE development model with the research subject being 5th semester students who take the Diffusion of Educational Innovation course. The results showed that the validation results obtained a feasibility value by material experts by 78%, linguists by 52% and media experts by 84%. Furthermore, based on the results of product practicality trials, namely individual trials, the feasibility score was 82.67 % and small group trials were 86.40 %. So that the overall average percentage of eligibility is 76.61 with "Good" criteria. These results indicate that the content of public education innovation material on the Android-based PLS.edu application developed in this study is valid and practical so that it is declared feasible to be used in learning.Keywords: Content development, Community education innovation, Android
