Abstract

Berbagai tantangan dihadapi oleh perempuan dalam menjalani perannya. Ketika perempuan kurang mampu menghadapi tantangan dapat menimbulkan permasalahan psikologis. Untuk menghadapi tantangan dan kesulitan yang dihadapi perempuan membutuhkan resiliensi. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan resiliensi perempuan adalah melalui pelatihan kebersyukuran. Tujuan program pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan resiliensi perempuan melalui pelatihan kebersyukuran. Pelatihan kebersyukuran dilaksanakan pada tanggal 31 Agustus 2022 dan diikuti oleh 35 orang perempuan yang berusia 27 – 51 tahun. Materi pelatihan berdasarkan pada modul pelatihan kebersyukuran dan diberikan melalui metode ceramah, diskusi, sharing dan latihan. Alat ukur untuk mengukur tingkat resiliensi peserta adalah The Cornnor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) yang telah diadaptasi ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. Data dianalisis secara statistik dengan menggunakan uji beda t-test. Hasil analisis menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan resiliensi yang signifikan antara sebelum dan setelah diberikan pelatihan kebersyukuran. Dengan demikian pemberian pelatihan kebersyukuran mampu meningkatkan resiliensi perempuan.

Abstract

This study specifically examines the impact of online loans and analyzes both micro and macro psychological aspects. The quantitative respondents consist of 124 participants, while the qualitative research involves two informants for observation and interviews. The findings of this study indicate that the emergence of online loans is attributed to the ease of regulations, leading many students to fall into the trap of online borrowing. Peer influence and lifestyle are the main factors that lead students to utilize online lending services. Being the closest social environment, Peers influence lifestyle changes, and online loans become a means to meet those lifestyle needs. On the other hand, from the macro psychological perspective, regulations, and social media play a significant role in influencing students to opt for online loans.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 berdampak buruk pada kesehatan masyarakat, khususnya tenaga kesehatan. Petugas kesehatan medis terus-menerus dihadapkan pada situasi yang sangat berisiko. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menginvestigasi dampak pandemi Covid-19 terhadap kualitas hidup tenaga kesehatan di Surakarta. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala kualitas hidup oleh World Health Organization (2004), dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner melalui Google Forms. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah tenaga kesehatan yang bertugas selama masa pandemi Covid-19 yang berjumlah 147 orang. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis univariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara keseluruhan kualitas hidup tenaga kesehatan termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Sebanyak 50 orang tenaga kesehatan (34,01%) menunjukkan kualitas hidup mereka baik, 54 orang tenaga kesehatan (36,73%) merasa sedang dengan kesehatan mereka, 94 orang tenaga kesehatan (63,94%) kesehatan fisik mereka tergolong sedang, 88 orang tenaga kesehatan (59,86%) menilai kesehatan psikologis mereka sedang, kemudian sebanyak 84 orang tenaga kesehatan (57,14%) menjawab hubungan sosial mereka dalam kategori sedang, dan 94 orang tenaga kesehatan (63,94%) menyatakan lingkungan mereka juga termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Beberapa cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup di masa pandemi yaitu menjaga kesehatan fisik dengan mengontrol pola tidur 6-8 jam, menjaga kesehatan psikologis dengan memberikan afirmasi positif pada diri sendiri, menjalin komunikasi dengan masyarakat sekitar terutama dengan rekan seprofesi agar senantiasa saling memberi semangat, serta menjalin kerja sama yang baik dengan lingkungan sekitar. Hal ini berguna untuk peningkatan, pencegahan, penyembuhan, dan pemulihan.

Abstract

Social skills are an important aspect that needs to be developed for students because they are a protective factor in creating mental health. It's just that this is one aspect that is still underdeveloped in students. Social skills can be instilled in individuals in various ways, one of which is through training. This community service activity is in the form of Training for Trainers, which aims to increase the capacity of stakeholders to have higher social skills so that they can become role models for students. Participants involved in this activity were administrators, teachers, and caregivers of 30 students. The training lasted 2 meetings, each 3 hours. The training material includes adolescent dynamics, social skills, and the implementation of social skills through the FRESH values, which is an acronym for Friendly (friendly, likes to make friends), Respect (respect), Empathy (empathy or mutual understanding), Smile (smile or friendly to everyone), as well as Humble (humble and not feeling superior to others). The effectiveness of the training was measured using a questionnaire to determine improvements in FRESH implementation. Data were analyzed using central tendency statistics and described narratively. The results show that there has been an increase in the application of FRESH values among dormitory managers, teachers, and caregivers. This improvement is the key to continuous change towards more comfortable and harmonious conditions in Islamic boarding schools, considering that boarding school managers, teachers, and caretakers are the main role models for students while living in Islamic boarding schools. It can be concluded that social skills training through training for trainers has proven effective in improving the social skills of managers, teachers, and caregivers as role models to be imitated by students.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the education sector and caused stress for first-year students who have to adapt to a period of continence in higher education. Students can deal with stress using coping methods, but the coping mechanisms they choose may not always reduce stress. Coping strategies are not the only way to deal with stress; perceived social support also contribute to students’ stress levels. This study aims to determine the role of perceived social support as a mediator between coping and stress in first-year students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using the cluster random sampling technique , 437 first-year students were selected, comprising 111 men and 326 women, as participants. The instruments for data collection were DASS-21, Brief COPE-28, and ISEL-16. The data were analyzed using the Sobel test technique. The indirect effect results show that perceived social support is a mediator between problem-focused coping (PFC) with stress (p < 0.001; β = -0.027), emotion-focused coping (EFC) with stress (p < 0.001; β = -0.020), and avoidant coping (AVC) with stress (p < 0.001; β = 0.035). Perceived social support has a full mediation effect on the relationship between PFC and stress, the relationship between EFC and stress, and a partial mediation effect on the relationship between AVC and stress. PFC and EFC will not be able to play a significant role in reducing stress levels if there is no perception of social support. This study provides findings that when first-year students use AVC, the environment needs to provide positive social support. Therefore, the role of AVC is reduced and stress levels are reduced. The findings of the mediating role of perceived social support are beneficial because they provide empirical evidence for theoretical and practical implications. Abstract

Introduction: In this study, we aimed to predict smoking intentions among Indonesian youth using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) within the context of global tobacco use. Our objective was to examine how attitude toward smoking, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control shape youth smoking intentions, addressing gaps in prior Indonesian studies by leveraging nationally representative data and enhanced analytical methods. Methods: This cross-sectional study involved a secondary data analysis of the 2019 Global Youth Tobacco Survey (GYTS) conducted across Indonesia. A total of 9,992 youth participants were enrolled, and data were collected through structured questionnaires. Results: The primary outcome of the study was cigarette smoking intention, and the structural equation modelling revealed a good model fit (SRMR = 0.018, RMSEA = 0.028, TLI = 0.986, and CFI = 0.994). All of the predictors were statistically significant in predicting youth smoking intentions. When compared to other TPB constructs, perceived behavioral control emerged as the strongest predictor (? = 0.223, p < .001), followed by attitude (? = –0.202, p < .001) and subjective norms (? = 0.091, p < .001). Past smoking behavior was also the strongest predictor (? = 0.241, p < .001). The model explained 29.7% of the variance in smoking intention. Individuals who had a positive attitude towards smoking, were exposed to smoking in both public and private spaces, and thought quitting was difficult were more likely to intend to smoke. Conclusion: In conclusion, our study contributes to the understanding of youth smoking behavior by applying the TPB in the Indonesian context. These findings highlight the importance of behaviorally informed tobacco control interventions that address young people's perceptions of control and attitudes towards smoking, as well as the value of school-based programs, media literacy campaigns, and peer education strategies tailored to Indonesian culture.

Abstract

enters for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) study shows that suicide is the second-leading cause of death among children and adolescents aged 10 to 17 years. Ten years ago, suicide was the fourth-leading cause of death in children aged 10 to 17 years. The increasing incidence of suicide attempts and suicide deaths, especially among adolescents, points to an urgent need to gain a better understanding of the risk factors leading to increased suicide risk and to design innovative interventions for suicide in children and adolescents. To obtain a complete picture of the risk factors for suicide in adolescents and recent interventions, we reviewed the literature in the form of journals in the last five years. We included 31 journal articles on youth suicide that were collected through Publish or Perish software and the ProQuest database. Risk factors for suicide in adolescents can be classified, among others, as mental illness, psychosocial factors, sociodemographic factors, biological factors, and other risk factors. To prevent suicide attempts and suicides, various preventive measures can be taken and need collaboration at the community, subpopulation, and individual levels.

Abstract

This study analyzes efforts to deal with aggressive behavior of klitih perpetrators in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) using Bronfenbrenner's Ecological Theory. Through a qualitative literature review of 30 articles (2010-2022), this study reveals that klitih is influenced by complex interactions between ecological systems. Key factors include family dynamics, peer influence, lack of school-family coordination, and normalization of violence in society. While existing interventions have shown positive results, a more holistic approach is needed. It was concluded that effective strategies must be multidimensional, involve multiple stakeholders and integrate interventions at all levels of the system. Recommendations include family strengthening programs, peer support, school-family collaboration, and public campaigns to change perceptions of youth violence.

Abstract

Background: Technological developments and economic factors have increased the prevalence of online gambling among college students, negatively impacting their mental health, finances, and academic performance. This phenomenon requires serious attention for effective prevention and management. Objectives: This study aims to determine the impact of online gambling on college students and design a holistic and sustainable intervention based on Bronfenbrenner's theory. The scope of the study includes causal factors, psychological and financial impacts, and intervention measures that can be implemented in college and family environments. Methods: The methods used include literature review and qualitative analysis of various data sources, including journals, case reports, and policy documents. Results: The results indicate that online gambling causes financial losses, mental disorders such as stress and depression, and decreased academic performance in students. The proposed interventions include education, counseling, group support, and synergy between families and educational institutions. Conclusion: The conclusions of this study emphasize the importance of collaborative, multi-stakeholder-based preventive and rehabilitative measures to reduce the negative impacts of online gambling and improve students' awareness and mental health. Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                                     Lembaga pemasyarakatan (lapas) memiliki peran strategis dalam pembinaan dan rehabilitasi warga binaan, termasuk perempuan. Namun, keterbatasan program yang mampu memenuhi kebutuhan psikologis, spiritual, dan keterampilan hidup warga binaan perempuan masih menjadi tantangan. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemberdayaan holistik bagi warga binaan perempuan di Rutan Kelas IIB Boyolali agar warga binaan dapat meningkatkan kapasitas psikologis dan kemandirian. Program disusun setelah melakukan koordinasi dengan mitra terkait permasalahan, solusi, dan menyusun rancangan kegiatan. Sasaran program diberikan kepada 10 warga binaan perempuan dan 2 staf kesatuan pengamanan rutan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan dalam bentuk pelatihan keterampilan, psikoedukasi, dan konseling, sebanyak 16 sesi kegiatan. Pelatihan difokuskan pada manajemen diri dan kewirausahaan, sementara psikoedukasi mencakup kesehatan mental, spiritual, serta pengembangan dan kesadaran diri. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara untuk melihat perubahan dalam aspek psikologis, sosial, dan keterampilan. Hasil menunjukkan adanya perubahan positif, termasuk pergeseran cara pandang terhadap masa depan, peningkatan kemampuan menyusun tujuan hidup melalui pendekatan SMART, serta keberanian mengekspresikan diri dalam sesi konseling. Selain itu, kualitas interaksi sosial meningkat melalui kerja kelompok dan terbentuknya dukungan emosional antar warga binaan. Kegiatan kewirausahaan juga meningkatkan keterampilan praktis, kepercayaan diri, dan membuka peluang ekonomi pasca-rutan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa program pemberdayaan yang terintegrasi dapat berkontribusi dalam mendukung proses rehabilitasi dan mempersiapkan warga binaan perempuan untuk reintegrasi sosial secara lebih bermakna melalui peningkatan kapasitas psikologis dan kemandirian warga binaan.Kata kunci: Kapasitas Psikologis; Kemandirian; Warga Binaan Perempuan; Rehabilitasi; Rutan.ABSTRACTCorrectional institutions (prisons) play a strategic role in the development and rehabilitation of inmates, including women detainees. However, this is a challenge as there are limited available programs that meet the psychological, spiritual, and life skills needed by female inmates. This community service program aims to provide holistic empowerment for female prisoners at the Class IIB Boyolali Detention Center (Rutan Kelas IIB Boyolali), enabling them to increase their psychological capacity and independence. The program is prepared after coordinating with partners regarding problems, solutions, and preparing activity plans. The program targets 10 female inmates and 2 prison security unit staff. The implementation of activities was carried out in the form of skills training, psychoeducation and counseling, with 16 activity sessions. The training focuses on self-management and entrepreneurship, while psychoeducation covers mental health, spirituality, and self-development and awareness. Evaluation was conducted through observation and interviews to identify changes in psychological, social, and skills aspects. Results showed positive changes, including a shift in perspective on the future, an increased ability to develop life goals through the SMART approach, and increased self-expression during counseling sessions. Furthermore, the quality of social interactions improved through group work and the development of emotional support among inmates. Entrepreneurial activities also improved practical skills, self-confidence, and opened up economic opportunities after detention. These findings suggest that an integrated empowerment program can contribute to supporting the rehabilitation process and preparing female inmates for more meaningful social reintegration by enhancing the inmates' psychological capacity and independence. Keywords: Psychological Capacities; Autonomy; Female Inmates; Rehabilitation; Detention Centre.
