Abstract

An increase in the number of foreign tourists in Bali will likely lead to a rise in musculoskeletal traumas, particularly fractures. The characteristics of fractures vary in terms of aetiology, age, and location, as well as the mechanism of injury (MOI), which, in turn, have different forms of treatment. This study aimed to determine fracture characteristics based on demographics, the affected bone fractures, the relationship between the bone and surrounding tissue, and fracture configuration. The research method used is a descriptive observational approach, drawing from patient notes or medical records of patients undergoing inpatient or outpatient treatment between January 2022 and December 2023. The sampling technique used in this research is consecutive sampling. The minimum number of samples required for this research is 96. The data in this research were analysed descriptively and presented in the form of narratives, tables, graphs, or images. The research results showed that respondents who experienced fractures were primarily Russian citizens, accounting for 25% of the total. Most respondents experienced closed fractures, totalling 90. The most common fault lines were complete fractures, with 92 respondents, and experienced transverse fracture characteristics, with 55 respondents. The highest number of fractures occurred in the Metatarsal V, with 20 respondents experiencing single-site fractures.

Abstract

This community service activity is one of the implementations of the Regular KKN-PMM Period II 2025 activities which were held on July 20 - August 25, 2025 with KKN locations spread across several areas, one of which was in Taman Village, Abiansemal, Badung. The KKN-PMM activity in Taman Village which was attended by 23 students from Warmadewa University found several problems faced, namely community unrest regarding drug problems and the less than optimal use of manure as well as the lack of understanding of the Women Farmers Group regarding effective and environmentally friendly land processing techniques. Therefore, on this occasion, socialization activities were carried out on the dangers of drug abuse to all levels of society, as well as education on land processing and the provision of plant seeds to the Women Farmers Group. The drug socialization aims to increase public awareness of the negative impacts of drugs on health, family, and social life. Meanwhile, agricultural education activities aim to empower Women Farmers Group in supporting food security and family economic independence through simple agricultural practices. Activity methods include counseling, interactive discussions, and direct practice in the field. The results of the activity indicate an increase in community knowledge about the dangers of drugs, as well as growing interest and skills among Women Farmers Group members in agricultural land management. This educational collaboration is expected to be the first step in building a healthy, productive, and independent village.

Abstract

Anemia is a condition characterized by low levels of hemoglobin or red blood cell counts in the bloodstream, resulting in a decreased ability of the blood to transport oxygen throughout the body. The prevalence of anemia is relatively high, especially in developing countries. In Indonesia, there has been an increase in the prevalence of anemia among adolescents aged 15-24 years, reaching 13.6%. In Bali, the recorded prevalence of anemia is 21.9%, with Bangli Regency ranking second. Kintamani is one of the sub-districts located in Bangli Regency, and SMP Negeri 1 Kintamani is one of the middle schools in the area. This study aims to identify the prevalence of anemia among female students of SMP Negeri 1 Kintamani. The method used is a cross-sectional study involving 147 respondents. Hemoglobin levels were measured using the Easy Touch GCHb device. The results indicate that the prevalence of anemia among female students at SMP Negeri 1 Kintamani is 18.37%, with mild anemia at 12.24% and moderate anemia at 6.12%. The majority of respondents are 12 years old.
