Abstract

This research aims to analyze farmers' income in shallot farming and examine the factors that determine farmers' income in shallot farming in Gorontalo Regency. The approach used in this research is quantitative, employing descriptive and correlational methods. A total sample of 52 respondents was obtained using Krejcie and Morgan's sample size calculation. Data collection methods include questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis involves income analysis and multiple linear regression. The results of the study found that (1) the average income value of farmers in shallot farming in Gorontalo Regency is 27.759%, with a profit margin value of 42.688% when prices are high and a profit margin of only 12.829% when prices are standard. The income of shallot farmers is quite vulnerable to price declines, so price stability needs to be pursued by various relevant stakeholders. (2) Land per planting season, capital per planting season, and labour per planting season together have a significant effect on farmers' income in shallot farming in Gorontalo Regency, with a coefficient of determination of 88.10%. Partially, it was found that the land area per planting season had a positive but insignificant effect on farmers' income in shallot farming, with an influence of 8.50%. Capital per planting season has a positive and significant effect on farmers' income in shallot farming, with an influence of 68.70%, and labour per planting season has a positive and significant influence on farmers' income in shallot farming, with an influence of 10.90%. Abstract

Increasing the production of sweet corn plants to meet the food needs of the community faces quite big challenges, especially in terms of providing environmentally friendly fertilizer. This activity aims to provide training in making liquid organic fertilizer from cow urine for sweet corn fertilizer needs. The location for the activity is in Wonggahu Village, Paguyaman District, which has the potential for cultivating sweet corn because it has the carrying capacity of land and cattle farm waste as raw material for organic fertilizer. The method for making organic fertilizer uses the fermentation method using cattle urine as the raw material. Making liquid organic fertilizer is done by mixing all the ingredients evenly and putting them in a container. Ripening takes place in 7 days. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that making liquid organic fertilizer in Wonggahu village can be an alternative fertilizer provider for farmers.

Abstract

Nugget merupakan makanan bergizi yang terbuat dari ayam dan digemari banyak orang. Sayuran seperti brokoli bisa dimasukkan ke dalam komponen dasar untuk melakukan modifikasi pembuatan nugget. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan daya tarik  konsumsi sayuran di kalangan anak muda dengan mengkombinasikan bahan baku produksi nugget baik dari hewani dan nabati.  Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini difokuskan untuk ibu-ibu masyarakat Desa Iloheluma dikarenakan sebagai penyedia makanan keluarga yang harus mengetahui cara mengolah makanan yang sehat namun tetap praktis dan ekonomis. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat desa binaan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat melalui pelatihan nugget “SEHAP” (protein sayuran enak hewani) sehingga terbentuk pola pikir kewirausahaan di kalangan masyarakat khususnya ibu-ibu di Desa Iloheluma dengan membekali mereka pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sumber pendapatan alternatif.  Metode pelaksanaan dalam program ini adalah persiapan dan pelaksanaan yang terdiri atas sosialisasi dan penyuluhan, pelatihan dan pendampingan serta evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat khususnya ibu-ibu Desa Iloheluma memiliki peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam proses pengolahan nugget “SEHAP” (protein sayuran enak hewani) yang baik.  Hal ini terlihat dari antusias kelompok mitra dalam mengikuti keseluruhan rangkaian kegiatan pengabdian.  Selain itu, hal ini dapat dilihat melalui kuesioner awal dan akhir yang diisi sebelum dan sesudah program.  Pengetahuan dan kemampuan masyarakat mengalami peningkatan dari awal 60% menjadi 100%. Selain itu, perempuan Desa Iloheluma terdorong untuk memulai usaha pengolahan nugget “SEHAP” sebagai alternatif sumber pendapatan rumah tangganya.

Abstract

Program pemberdayaan masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan masyarakat desa Tabongo Timur dalam pengolahan produk berbasis kelapa dan Sacha Inchi. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi masyarakat adalah rendahnya nilai tambah produk, keterbatasan teknologi, dan kurangnya akses pasar. Untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah produk dilakukan kegiatan dengan metode pelatihan berbasis praktik, transfer teknologi sederhana seperti fermentasi dan sentrifugasi untuk Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) digunakan untuk memisahkan minyak murni dari kelapa, serta metode cold pressing untuk memastikan kualitas omega 3 minyak sacha Inchi. Program ini melibatkan 20 peserta dari berbagai kelompok masyarakat, termasuk kelompok tani, PKK, BUMDes, dan pemuda desa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan, ketrampilan dan pendapatan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan ketrampilan rata-rata skor post-test sebesar 35%, kualitas produk yang memenuhi standar pasar karena sudah ada hasil uji dan sertifikat PIRT, dan peningkatan pendapatan masyarakat hingga 30%. Temuan ini mendukung pencapaian tujuan Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), seperti pengentasan kemiskinan, pekerjaan layak, dan konsumsi serta produksi yang bertanggung jawab. Program ini menjadi best practice yang relevan untuk direplikasi di komunitas lain dengan potensi serupa. Empowering the Tabongo Timur Community Through Coconut and Sacha Inchi Processing to Support Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Abstract This community empowerment program aims to improve the skills and knowledge of the East Tabongo village community in processing coconut-based products and Sacha Inchi. The main problems faced by the community are low added value of products, limited technology, and lack of market access. To increase the added value of the product, activities were carried out with practice-based training methods, simple technology transfer such as fermentation and centrifugation for Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) used to separate pure oil from coconut, as well as cold pressing methods to ensure the quality of omega 3 sacha Inchi oil. The program involved 20 participants from various community groups, including farmer groups, PKK, BUMDes, and village youth. The results showed an increase in knowledge, skills and income. The evaluation results showed an increase in understanding and skills of the average post-test score by 35%, product quality that meets market standards because there are already test results and PIRT certificates, and an increase in community income by 30%. These findings support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as poverty alleviation, decent work, and responsible consumption and production. This program is a relevant best practice to be replicated in other communities with similar potential.

Abstract

Pemberian kredit merupakan kegiatan utama yang dilakukan oleh pihak bank, yang mengandung resiko serta dapat mempengaruhi kesehatan dan kelangsungan bank itu sendiri. Prinsip 5C (Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral dan Condition) merupakan prinsip pembiayaan terhadap debitur yang dilakukan untuk melihat dan menilai sejauh mana kelayakan seorang debitur menerima dana kredit yaitu Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis penerapan prinsip 5C dalam pemberian kredit pada petani di kabupaten Bone Bolango pada Bank BRI Unit Suwawa dan BRI Unit Kabila. Teknik pengumpulan data terdiri dari observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara dan triangulasi dengan menggunakan pendekatan mix method, yaitu menggabungkan hasil analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif untuk menemukan permasalahan dalam penelitian. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa poin penting dari prinsip Character adalah sikap dan perilaku dan tracking record nasabah, prinsip Capacity adalah mempunyai kemampuan dan kesanggupan memenuhi kredit, Capital adalah modal lain dalam usaha, prinsip Collateral adalah menilai dari segi jaminan dan Condition adalah menilai nasabah dari keadaan perekonomian nasabah. Kata Kunci: Prinsip 5C; Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR); BRI Unit Suwawa; BRI Unit Kabila. Abstract Lending is the main activity carried out by the Bank, which contains risks that can affect the health and sustainability of the Bank itself. Principle 5C (Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral and Condition) is the principle of financing debtors, which is carried out to see and assess the feasibility of a debtor receiving financing in this case the People's Business Credit (KUR). The purpose of this research is to analyze the application of the 5C principles in extending credit to farmers in Bone Bolango Regency at Bank BRI Unit Suwawa and Unit Kabila. Data collection techniques consist of observation, documentation, interviews, and triangulation using a mix method approach, which combines the results of qualitative and quantitative analysis to find problems in research. The results of this study indicate that the important points of the Character principle are the attitude and behavior and tracking records of customers, the Capacity principle is having the ability and ability to fulfill credit, Capital is other capital in a business, the Collateral principle is assessing in terms of guarantees and Condition is assessing customers from customer's economic condition. Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the feasibility of saraba beverage businesses financially and non-financially in Gorontalo Province. Methodology: The study employed a quantitative descriptive approach through surveys using structured questionnaires. Samples were purposively selected, involving 16 saraba vendors and 30 consumers. Results: The analysis indicates that saraba beverage businesses are financially feasible with 12.5% R/C ratio > 1, 50% R/C ratio > 2, and 37.5% R/C ratio > 1. Finding: Non-financial feasibility is supported by a strong market potential with suggestions for flavor innovations, parking facilities, and educational promotions. Novelty: This study highlights the feasibility of saraba businesses through holistic financial and non-financial analyses, emphasizing sustainability and market development. Originality: The study provides strategic insights for saraba entrepreneurs to enhance local competitiveness. Conclusions: Saraba beverage businesses are feasible to develop, focusing on product innovation, consumer facilities, and promotions.Type of Paper: Empirical Research Article

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of production capacity, location, capital, transport and marketing management partially and simultaneously on the effectiveness of maize marketing by farmers in Boalemo District. This research is quantitative research. The data source in this study is secondary data in the form of primary data from distributing questionnaires to corn farmers in Gorontalo Regency with a sample size of 77 farmers. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis. The results of this study show that (1) Partially, farm capital, transport, and marketing management have a positive and significant effect on the effectiveness of maize marketing in Boalemo District. Meanwhile, production capacity and farm location have a positive but insignificant effect on the effectiveness of maize marketing in Boalemo District. All independent variables have positive coefficients, indicating that the more optimal these factors are, the more effective maize marketing in Boalemo district will be. (2) Simultaneously, production capacity, farm capital, farm location, transport, marketing management and distance together affect the effectiveness of maize marketing in Boalemo District. the adjusted R2 coefficient of determination is 0.627. This value means that 62.7% of the effectiveness of maize marketing in Boalemo Regency, Gorontalo Province can be explained by production capacity, farm capital, farm location, transport, and marketing management in Boalemo Regency, Gorontalo Province. While 37.3% is explained by other factors outside the model. Other factors outside the model are distribution channels and government policies. Abstract

Introduction: Corn farming faces various challenges from economic, ecological, and institutional aspects. For effective agricultural extension, it is crucial to optimize the role of social capital, which catalyzes optimizing corn farming, particularly concerning the extent to which farmers become innovative in increasing income. Methods: This research employed a quantitative approach. The data were collected through primary sources via the distribution of questionnaires to 175 farmers as per sampling requirements, as well as interviews and field observations. Data analysis techniques included descriptive analysis and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Results: (1) The effectiveness of extension services significantly and positively influences corn farmers' social capital, with a coefficient value of 43.00%. (2) The effectiveness of extension services significantly and positively affects innovative behavior in increasing income among corn farmers, with a coefficient value of 22.80%. (3) Social capital significantly and positively influences innovative behavior in increasing income among corn farmers, with a coefficient value of 74.80%. (4) The effectiveness of extension services through social capital significantly and positively influences innovative behavior in increasing income among corn farmers, with a coefficient value of 32.20%, resulting in a total effect of 55.00%. Conclusion: Social capital serves as a significant intervening factor, as its enhancement facilitates agricultural extension workers in their tasks by encouraging farmers to become more innovative in increasing both production and income from corn farming in the Bone Bolango Regency.

Abstract

AbstrakDana desa merupakan salah satu upaya pemerintah untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat desa. Guna mendukung pelaksanaan tugas dan fungsi desa dalam penyelenggaraan pemerintahan dan pembangunan desa terutama pembangunan pada sektor pertanian agar tercapainya masyarakat sejahtera. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh pemanfaatan dana desa terhadap pembangunan pertanian di Desa Lobuto Kecamatan Biluhu. Penelitian ini dilakukan dari bulan Juni sampai dengan bulan Juli 2024 dengan jumlah sampel 32 responden. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan analisis data regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dana desa memiliki peran signifikan dalam pembangunan sarana prasarana pertanian, seperti pembangunan jalan usaha tani dan penyediaan alat serta bibit. Secara simultan nilai thitung 13,382 > ttabel 2,048 dan angka signifikansi <0,05 menunjukkan bahwa dana desa berpengaruh terhadap pembangunan pertanian dan secara efektif dapat meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian dan kesejahteraan petani di Desa Lobuto Kecamatan Biluhu Kabupaten Gorontalo.Kata kunci: Dana desa, pertanian, pemanfaatan, pembangunanAbstractVillage funds are one of the government's efforts to improve the welfare of village communities. In order to support the implementation of village tasks and functions in organizing village governance and development, especially development in the agricultural sector in order to achieve a prosperous society. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of village funds on agricultural development in Lobuto Village, Biluhu District. This study was conducted from June to July 2024 with a sample of 32 respondents. The research method used quantitative methods and simple linear regression data analysis. The results of this study indicate that village funds have a significant role in the development of agricultural infrastructure, such as the construction of farm roads and the provision of tools and seeds. Simultaneously, the t-count value of 13.382> t-table 2.048 and the significance figure <0.05 indicate that village funds have an effect on agricultural development and can effectively increase agricultural productivity and farmer welfare in Lobuto Village, Biluhu District, Gorontalo Regency.Keywords: Village Funds, agriculture, utilization, development

Abstract

Introduction: Food security programs have become a strategic issue that consistently attracts the attention of various levels of government, including village governments, as regulated in the Minister of Village, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia. Thus, this program will create sustainable food security, which is also a measure of the success of rural development. Methods: This research is a quantitative study. The data source in this research is primary data obtained through the distribution of questionnaires to the district government, villages, and farmers, in accordance with the sample calculation requirements of 213 farmers, as well as through interviews and field observations. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) PLS. Results: (1) village development performance, resource management, collaboration and creativity of the farmer-breeder community is on fairly good criteria (2) resource management has a positive and significant effect on collaboration, resource management has a positive and significant effect on the creativity of farmer-breeders, resource management has a positive but insignificant effect on village development performance, collaboration has a positive and significant effect on village development performance, the creativity of farmer-breeders has a positive and significant effect on village development performance, resource management through collaboration has a positive and significant effect on village development performance, the creativity of farmer-breeders has a positive and significant effect on village development performance. Conclusion: collaboration and creativity of farmer-breeders are good mediating variables as they can enhance the influence of resource management on village development performance based on the priorities of village funds in plant and animal food security.
