Abstract

Geometri peledakan merupakan parameter utama yang perlu diperhatikan untuk mendapatkan hasil distribusi fragmentasi yang seragam dan sesuai dengan target yang diharapkan. Target Fragementasi PT Balangan Coal adalah ukuran > 6 cm kurang dari 15%, ukuran 6 – 50 cm lebih dari 40% dan ukuran > 50 cm kurang dari 45%. Berdasarkan pengukuran geometri peledakan aktual adalah spacing 6,4 m, burden 6 m, kedalaman 5,1 m, subdrill 0,5 m, stemming 2,9 m, kolom isian 2,1 m dan powder factor 0,24 kg/m dengan distribusi fragmentasi aktual hasil peledakan yang dihasilkan ukuran > 6 cm sebesar 35,7%, ukuran 6 – 50 cm sebesar 63,8%, ukuran > 50 cm sebesar 0,5%. Setelah dilakukan rancangan ulang geometri peledakan dengan teori R.L Ash adalah spacing 7,5 m, burden 6,5 m, kedalaman 5,5 m, subdrill 0,5 m, stemming 3 m, kolom isian 2 m dan powder factor 0,22 kg/m dengan distribusi fragmentasi hasil peledakan yang dihasilkan ukuran > 6 cm sebesar 14,1%, ukuran 6 – 50 cm sebesar 42,2%, ukuran > 50 cm sebesar 43,7%. Abstract

Air limbah tambang adalah udara yang berasal dari kegiatan penambangan batubara yang meliputi pengangkutan, pengangkutan dan penimbunan baik pada tambang terbuka maupun tambang bawah tanah yang dapat menyebabkan terbentuknya lumpur atau lumpur pengolahan udara dan udara asam tambang. Di PT. PT. Marunda Grahamineral air limbah tambang berasal dari area tambang termasuk dari ROM dan dialirkan ke kolam pengendapan yang kemudian dialirkan ke sungai yang berada di sekitar area penambangan. Air limbah tambang yang berada di settling pool SP 14 SE pit CTM memiliki pH 5 dan nilai TSS yang tinggi yaitu 9.460 mg/l. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan penambahan kapur tohor dan zeolit dengan dosis 0,1 gr/l, 0,5 gr/l dan 0,8 gr/l yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas air limbah tambang. Setelah dilakukan percobaan dengan menambahkan kapur tohor dan zeolit ??kualitas air limbah tambang telah memenuhi standar baku mutu lingkungan. Namun, reaktivitas kapur tohor lebih besar dibandingkan dengan zeolit ??dalam meningkatkan kualitas air limbah tambang. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari peningkatah pH dan penurunan kadar kandungan Mn. Dimana dengan dosis efektif 0,1gr/l kapur tohor nilai pH yang awalnya 5 meningkat menjadi 7,7 dan kandungan Mn yang awalnya 0,03 mg/l menurun menjadi 0,00 mg/l.

Abstract

A sump is a water reservoir that functions to accommodate runoff water in the pit before the water is pumped. This study was conducted to determine the location plan and sump capacity based on the direction of mine progress and the actual estimation of runoff discharge that enters the pit at PT. Wahyu Murti Garuda Kencana, Central Kalimantan. There is a water problem that interferes with production activities because the actual sump dimensions are insufficient to accommodate the daily discharge of water that enters the sump. So that the impact on the mining front is flooded or there is waterlogging that disrupts mining activities. The progress of the mine is directed towards the north of the sump so that the distance and dimensions of the actual sump are ineffective and unable to accommodate the incoming water discharge in accordance with the direction of the mine progress due to the mining location in the pit which is easily submerged by water. The drainage condition at PT. Wahyu Murti Garuda Kencana uses the mine dewatering method which is a method of removing water that flows into the mining sump using a pump. Theoretically, by conducting direct research on the sump area of PT. Wahyu Murti Garuda Kencana, the actual sump dimensions are insufficient to accommodate the water discharge that enters the pit. The design carried out pays attention to the mining plan so that the sump design to be designed can be applied in the field in accordance with the mine design. The shape of the sump designed is a trapezoidal shape with dimensions of 80 m x 70 m cross-section, 74 m x 64 m bottom section, depth of 4 m and 55 degree tilt angle and a total sump volume capacity of 20,672 m3.

Abstract

Pada kondisi dengan curah hujan tinggi atau ekstrem, pit 23 tergenang akibat meluapnya sump dan tidak dapat menahan air akibat pemompaan yang kurang optimal, sehingga mengganggu kegiatan produksi di pit 23 CV. Bunda Kandung. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui debit air total yang direncanakan, dan mengetahui dimensi dan volume sump yang direncanakan di pit 23 CV. Bunda Kandung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Tahapan analisis data yang dilakukan adalah menghitung debit air total yang masuk, menentukan volume dan dimensi sump. Curah hujan maksimal terjadi pada tahun 2021, tepatnya pada bulan Oktober, yaitu sebesar 187 mm/hari. Daerah tangkapan air hujan pit 23 adalah 8,33 Ha. Curah hujan yang direncanakan sebesar 168,667 mm. Intensitas curah hujan 58,473 mm/jam. Debit air limpasan sebesar 4.037,920 m³/jam dan debit air hujan sebesar 17.471,975 m³/jam. Total debit air sebesar 21.509,896 m³/jam. Desain dimensi sump yang direkomendasikan dengan luas 2.339,60 m² dan volume 24.458,06 m3. Kata kunci: Curah hujan rencana, catchment area, debit air total

Abstract

Pengaruh curah hujan terhadap berbagai aktivitas khususnya kegiatan penambangan memberikan dampak terhadap tergenangnya front penambangan. Penelitian ini berfokus pada melihat pengaruh dari faktor cuaca, dalam hal ini adalah curah hujan dan aktual overburden removal.  Sehingga akan didapatkan   bagaimana   pengaruh   dari   curah hujan terhadap aktual overburden removal. Metode analisis statistik menggunakan regresi linier sederhana dan uji-t. Penggunaan metode regresi linier sederhana menunjukkan curah hujan dan aktual overburden removal tidak kuat atau aktual overburden removal tidak dipengaruhi oleh curah hujan. Hal tersebut diperkuat dengan uji signifikan hipotesis (uji-t), bahwa, tidak ada pengaruh nyata (tidak berpengaruh signifikan) dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Abstract

Artisanal gold mining in the Kahayan River Basin (DAS Kahayan), Ramang Village, produces tailings that contain metallic minerals such as zircon (Zr), yet their management remains suboptimal. This study aims to identify the zircon content in the concentrate resulting from shaking table separation and to analyze the geological and hydrological factors influencing its distribution. The results show that zircon content in the tailings ranges from 0,002% to 0,112%. The highest concentration was found in the upstream area (Z1), while the lowest was in the downstream area (X1), indicating that river flow direction and tidal influences play a role in zircon particle distribution. The zircon identified is genetically linked to the weathering of granite rocks, particularly the Kapur Granite Formation and Sepauk Tonalite in the upstream region. These findings indicate that current small-scale gold mining practices remain inefficient, allowing zircon to be discarded in tailings. This study emphasizes the importance of improved tailings management through efficient containment systems, the potential for reprocessing, and continuous environmental monitoring to enhance resource utilization and reduce the ecological impact of traditional mining.

Abstract

The Banturung region mostly consists of the morphology of igneous rock hills where most of the rocks physically show that they have undergone a process of change, so more detailed research is needed to distinguish the types of rocks that exist at the research site. This study aims to determine the distribution and types of rocks that undergo alterations at the research site. The research method with petrographic analysis, due to mineral changes and changes in rock composition in alterations can be observed from microscopic observations by paying attention to the mineral composition. The rock sample is cut into thin incisions measuring 0.035 mm so that it can be observed under a microscope. From the results of the rock incision analysis, it is known that the characteristics of rock alteration at the study site include the type of Phyllic alteration with serisite as a key mineral, with a very low alteration intensity < 25%, and hydrothermal alteration processes in dacite and tonalite rocks. This alteration process can be an early indication of the formation of metallic minerals or mineralization of valuable minerals at the research site, which is also strengthened by the discovery of pyrite minerals at the research site so that it can be further developed as a source of mineral resource research.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to improve students’ competence in processing topographic survey data and understanding the utilization of measurement results in mining activities. The program was implemented at State Vocational High School 4 Palangka Raya involving students of the Mining Geology Department in grades twelve and thirteen. The implementation method used Service Learning combined with a participatory approach, which included material delivery, software-based data processing practice, map production, and evaluation through pre-test and post-test. The results showed a significant increase in students’ understanding and skills in processing topographic data, creating topographic maps, and interpreting measurement results for mining planning purposes. Participants were able to independently process field survey data using software and understand the importance of topographic information in mining activities. It can be concluded that the training program effectively improved students’ technical competence and readiness to face the demands of mining industry practices.

Abstract

Occupational safety and health (OSH) is a fundamental competency that must be mastered by vocational high school students, particularly in high-risk fields such as mining geology. One of the main problems faced by partner schools is the low level of students’ safety awareness, which is largely caused by learning methods that are predominantly theoretical and lack contextual exposure to real working conditions. This community service activity aimed to improve the safety awareness of Mining Geology vocational students through the implementation of case study-based OSH simulations. The activity was conducted using a participatory approach, consisting of the delivery of basic OSH concepts, presentation of mining accident case studies, simulation of hazard identification, and reflective group discussions. The results showed an improvement in students’ understanding of work-related risks, safety procedures, and the importance of developing a safety culture in mining activities. These findings indicate that case study-based OSH simulations are an effective strategy to strengthen safety awareness among vocational students in the mining sector.

Abstract

Mining sequence design is one of the important stages in open pit mining activities that aims to organize the excavation stages so that production activities run effectively, efficiently, and in accordance with the established targets. This research was conducted at PT Putra Perkasa Abadi Site SKS with the aim of designing a mining sequence in January and February 2025. The methods used include analysis of topographic data, geology, pit design, and monthly production targets. The data was processed using mining software to determine the excavation sequence based on elevation, overburden volume, and coal reserves. The design results show that the total planned overburden and coal volume is able to meet the company's production targets by considering slope stability and the efficiency of digging and loading equipment. In addition, the resulting sequence design also takes into account aspects of work safety and field operational conditions, such as mine road access and drainage systems. With a structured design, it is expected that mining activities during this period can run according to schedule, minimize operational obstacles, and support the achievement of production targets and cost efficiency at PT Putra Perkasa Abadi Site SKS.
