Abstract

More than 80% of premature infants are born between 32-37 weeks of age have low birth weight and die due to lack of care, such as breastfeeding which LBW urgently needs. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is the main place to deal with LBW which provides the needed care such as information on LBW care and optimal nutrition by breastfeeding. Scoping review is to describe The Experience of Breastfeeding Mothers with Low Birth Weight in NICU. The method used is consists of 6 stages, namely identifying questions with the PEOS Framework, identifying relevant studies, selecting studies using inclusion and exclusion criteria, conducting critical-appraisals to assess the quality of literature, performing data extraction, PRISMA Flowchart. 12 selected literatures with good quality. Five themes are emerged from the results namely factors affecting breastfeeding, barriers to breastfeeding, impact, and the support that should be given. LBW makes a lack of milk production so that the mother experiences stress, depression, disappointment, anxiety and fatigue. The Lack of support from health workers which still makes mothers confused about proper baby care. So that the success of breastfeeding at LBW on average is less than optimal. There is a need for further research on the effect of psychological support by health workers in the achievement of breastfeeding success in NICU-based LBW

Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO) found the number of Cesarean Section delivery in the world at 25.7% in 2004-2008 which was 27.3% in Asia, 19.0% in Europe, 29.2% in Latin America and the highest number was in China at the rate of 46.2% (Wang, Hellerstein, Hou, Zou, Ruan, Zhang, 2017). Rates determined by WHO for each country were 10-15% (WHO, 2015). WHO (2015) stated that the causative factor that can be delivered by Cesarean section is when vaginal delivery may have a risk to the mother and baby such as taking too much time for delivery and fetal disorders. Another cause was because of abnormal position. This study aims to determine the relationship between mother’s demand and Cesarean section delivery at PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Bantul. The type of research used in this study is quantitative research with Cross Sectional approach using secondary data, namely medical record data of PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Bantul in 2017. Chi-Square with P value 0.05 and CI 95% was used as data analysis. The bivariate results obtained were mother’s demand associated with delivery of Cesarean section with p value of 0.000 which means that the mother's demand had a significant relationship with the section Cesarean delivery. Based on the analysis of health technology assessment (HTA), the selection efforts at Cesarean section delivery were very beneficial for the mother and family, in terms of maternal health, economy and other factors.

Purpose: To review the evidence related to the experience of antenatal care in pregnant women with gestational diabetes. Methods: The method used is the scoping review. created a framework, selecting article studies with Prism Flow Charts, mapping charting data and Critical Appraisal. Results: Based on 9 articles with quantitative and qualitative research types, it was found that there were 8 articles with grade A and 1 article with grade B. The tool used in the scoping review was the Mixed Method Appraisal Tool (MMAT). Based on the articles collected, 4 themes were selected consisting of Antenatal Care (ANC), Knowledge of Pregnant Women, Gestational Impact of Diabetes, and Health Service Efforts. Abstract

Background: The concept of health technology assessment is described in health studies as promotion, prevention, screening, comparison, treatment, rehabilitation and care for a long time. Documentation of the incidence of postpartum blues is still rarely done through health care facilities in Indonesia. Based on previous research, the incidence of postpartum blues is in the range of 74.4%. This situation needs attention because 10-15% could potentially develop into postpartum depression. Lavender aromatherapy has an active ingredient, namely linalool which has a relaxing effect so that it can relieve insomnia, anxiety, and depression. Purpose: This Scoping Review was to evaluate the influence of lavender aromatherapy towards postpartum blues on primipara mothers. Method: Scoping Review which adapts Arskey and O'Malley framework using databases from Pubmed, ScienceDirect, ProQuest. Selection of article studies with Prism Flowcharts, mapping of charting data and descriptions of article search flow, compilation, summary and reporting of results as well as discussions with Critical Appraisal. The tool used in the scoping review is the Mixed Method Appraisal Tool (MMAT). Conclusion: The research gap found was the effect of lavender aromatherapy as an alternative non-pharmacological method that was effective on the incidence of postpartum blues in postpartum mothers.
