Abstract

Plants in growth and development require two types of nutrients, namely macro and micro nutrients.However, only N, P, and K elements are needed plants for larger amount. The purpose of this research is toprovide liquid organic fertilizer as balancing fertilizer considering the increasing price of fertilizer in themarket. Research on the use of simple composting technology in the manufacture of liquid organic fertilizeris done by involving participants from the elderly group, which is light and can be done alone. The composterused is a 25 L gallon with an outer connecting hose. The end of the hose is immersed in a bottle of water toensure the sustainability of the composting process in an anaerobic atmosphere. Production of liquid organicfertilizer using main ingredient in the form of foliage (5 kg) and livestock waste (1kg), with additivessuchshrimp paste (100 g) and brown sugar (200 g), and 200 mL EM4 as bioactivator. Five successful liquidorganic fertilizer products have the highest nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) content of0.16%, 153,75 mg/L and 663,98 mg/L, respectively.

Abstract

Hasil identifikasi keberadaan tenaga laboratorium IPA di SMP Taman Sastra Jimbaran Kuta Selatan, Badung adalah sekolah swasta yang menunjukkan bahwa umumnya kualifikasi pendidikan tenaga yang ditugaskan di laboratorium IPA belum memenuhi persyaratan standar tenaga laboratorium sekolah. Data yang diperoleh dari interview dengan guru IPA di SMP Taman Sastra Jimbaran, menyatakan bahwa sebagian besar guru IPA masih mengalami masalah untuk melakukan praktikum tentang topik-topik tertentu, tidak semua konsep-konsep IPA eksperimental dapat diajarkan dengan praktikum karena keterbatasan alat-alat dan bahan yang tersedia. Salah satu kendala yang menghambat kelancaran pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA di laboratorium adalah terbatasnya jumlah dan/atau jenis alat yang tersedia dan belum memiliki petunjuk praktikum yang tersusun secara permanen (dalam bentuk Modul). Hasil pengabdian ini telah mengasilkan beberapa alat praktikum sederhana dan dilengkapi dengan modul praktikum yang telah tersusun dengan baik. Diakhir kegiatan alat praktikum dan modul prkatikum diserahkan kepada SMP Taman Sastra Jimbaran. . Kata kunci : Laboratorium, alat praktikum, modul praktikum

Abstract

In order to avoid post power syndrome, the elderly who have a hobby of farming / gardening can be empowered through the introduction of LOF (liquid organic fertilizer) making technology and its application. The aim is for the elderly to understand the technology of making organic fertilizers that are lightweight, useful and entertaining as well as for them to feel contribute in maintaining the environment. The training method applied is a combination of interactive lecture and practice methods. Based on these methods, have succeeded in growing their creativity in making LOF and feel comforted on the results obtained. Successful LOF products contained nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (NPK) of 146,701 mg / L, 0.741 mg / L, and 0.035 mg / L, respectively, and magnesium (Mg) and calcium (Ca) of 86.332 mg / L and 1.970 mg / L. The application of LOF products has been done on the orchid plants (Phalaenopsis amabilis) with satisfactory results. Thus, the mastery of LOF making technology and its application will reduce the dependence of chemical fertilizer use and replace it with homemade organic fertilizer so it can contribute in maintaining health and environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Hampir seluruh jenis masakan di Indonesia menggunakan tomat (Lycopersicon esculentum L.) sebagai bahan dasar pembuatannya. Nilai gizi yang terkandung dalam tomat juga cukup tinggi, karena terdapat sejumlah kandungan vitamin yang diperlukan oleh tubuh manusia. Selain itu, tomat menjadi tanaman unggulan nasional komoditas hortikultura dan prioritas utama pada sejumlah provinsi di Indonesia. Demikian banyak manfaat dari tomat mengindikasikan bahwa produktivitas tomat harus segera ditingkatkan. Salah satu peningkatan dari segi kualitas dapat dilakukan dengan cara induksi mutasi dengan radiasi gamma Co-60. Induksi mutasi adalah perubahan genetik yang disebabkan oleh usaha manusia, salah satu caranya yaitu dengan bahan radioaktif. Radiasi gamma Co-60 dari pesawat IRPASENA dipaparkan pada biji tomat dengan perlakuan dosis 50, 100, 150, 200 dan 250 Gy. Selanjutnya dilakukan pengukuran terhadap pertumbuhan fisiologis meliputi lebar daun, tinggi tanaman, jumlah buah dan berat basah buah tomat dari minggu-1 hingga panen. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kurva pertumbuhan fisiologi tanaman tomat sesuai dengan kurva sigmoidal pertumbuhan tanaman. Pertumbuhan fisiologis tanaman tomat optimal pada dosis radiasi gama Co-60 100 Gy. Pada dosis optimal tersebut pertumbuhan fisiologis tanaman tomat diketahui yang terbaik (unggul) dibandingkan pada dosis di bawah dan di atas 100 Gy maupun kontrol. Almost all types of cuisine in Indonesia are using tomatoes as the base material of manufacture. The nutritional value contained in tomatoes is also quite high, because there is a number of vitamin content required by the human body. In addition, the tomatoes in plants featured national horticultural commodity and priority on a number of provinces in Indonesia. So many benefits of tomatoes indicates that the productivity of tomatoes should be improved. One improvement in terms of quality can be done by means of mutation induction with gamma radiation of Co-60. Induction of mutations are genetic changes caused by human effort, one of them is by using radioactive materials. Gamma rays of Co-60 from the IRPASENA facility was exposed to tomato seeds at doses of 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 Gy. And then measurements were conducted on the physiological growth of leaf width, plant height, number of fruit and wet weight of tomatoes from week 1 until harvest. The results showed a growth curve of tomato is in accordance with sigmoidal plant physiological growth curve. Optimal physiological growth of tomato plants was obtained at dose of gamma radiation of 100 Gy. At this optimal dose physiological growth of tomato plants is the best (superior) than in doses below and above 100 Gy and control.

Abstract

Harga cabai yang turun saat panen melimpah tentu sangat merugikan petani. Hal tersebut perlu segera ditangani dengan cara memperlama masa simpan cabai menggunakan tekonologi tepat guna melalui program pengabdian kepada mayarakat. Tujuan program tersebut adalah memperkenalkan teknik pengeringan cabai menggunakan alat pengering cabai. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian menggunakan metode ceramah interaksif dan praktek tentang teknologi pengolahan produk cabai mentah hingga menjadi cabai kering menggunakan alat pengering cabai. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah terciptanya alat pengering cabai sederhana berbahan bakar gas. Alat tersebut dibangun menggunakan kombinasi bahan logam (90%) dan kayu (10%) berukuran 80 x 50 x 120 cm3, dengan daya tampung hingga ± 7 kg cabai rawit mentah. Cabai rawit merah dan cabai rawit hijau mengalami penyusutan berat masing-masing sekitar 80% dan 90% dengan warna produk sangat kontas. Proses pengeringan dengan alat pengering lebih cepat (6 jam) dibandingkan dengan cara konvensional (7-10 hari). Berdasarkan hasil kuisioner, tingkat keberhasilan pelaksanaan program pengabdian tersebut di atas 90%.

Abstract

The research has been carried out on the HVL and TVL values ​​of the primary and secondary walls of the radiology installation radiology room at RSU Bali Jimbaran. The aims of this study were (1) to determine HVL and TVL values ​​on the primary and secondary walls in the x-ray room, (2) to determine the differences between HVL and TVL values ​​if the tube voltages are varied. In determining the HVL and TVL values, ​​the linear attenuation coefficient of the walls must be known. The linear attenuation coefficient was determined by measuring the wall thickness by using a caliper, and measuring the radiation dose rate before and after passing through the primary and secondary walls. The results of the analysis of the HVL and TVL values ​​on the primary wall were 1.668 cm and 5.540 cm, meanwhile on the secondary wall ​​were 1.915 cm and 6.362 cm. When the voltage was varied 40 kV, 50 kV, 60 kV and 70 kV, there was no difference in the HVL or TVL values. Based on the results of the analysis, the HVL and TVL values ​​on the primary and secondary walls have a significant average difference.

Abstract

A study has been carried out on the estimation of radiation dose and Organs at Risk (OAR) on abdominal CT-Scan examination using the SSDE method. The data used in this study were secondary data from medical records such as CTDIVol, DLP, and abdominal images of patients. This study aims to determine the size of SSDE, DE, and DEOAR and to determine whether DE is still within tolerance limits to ensure the feasibility of using CT-Scans in these installations. The SSDE value is obtained by multiplying the converted def value (f) and the CTDIVol, while the DE value is obtained by multiplying the DLP value and the conversion factor (k), finally, the DEOAR value is obtained by multiplying the CTDIVol and the organ/tissue weight factor. The results showed that the patient's average SSDE score was 12.04 ± 1.06 mGy, with a male SSDE value of 12.55 ± 1.30 mGy and a female SSDE value of 12.38 ± 2.47. While the average patient DEOAR value obtained was 7.57 ± 0.72 mGy and the patient's average DEOAR value for skin and bone surface was 0.09 ± 0.01 and red bone marrow and large intestine was 1.06 ±0.13. The DE value of this study is still below the tolerance value set by BAPETEN, which is less than 17.46 mGy.

Abstract

A study entitled " The Effect of Sintering Temperature Variations on the Crystalline Structure of Bovine Bone Hydroxyapatite" has been carried out. The aim of this research is to understand how the sintering temperature influences the hydroxyapatite lattice parameters and to understand how the sintering temperature influences the volume and density of hydroxyapatite. The synthesis process begins with a calcination at 300 °C for one hour, followed by a sintering process with varying temperatures, namely 600 °C, 700 °C and 800 °C for samples A, B and C, respectively. To determine the hydroxyapatite content in the samples, then characterization using XRD was carried out. XRD results analysis was carried out using match3 and Rietica software. Identification results using match3 software obtained the presence of hydroxyapatite compounds and impurity compounds in the form of (Calcium trimagnesium carbonate huntite, Fluorine, Magnesium Hydrogensulfate Hydrate, Sassolite, Zemannite). The volume fraction of hydroxyapatite obtained in this study ranged from 68.6 – 82.8%. The higher the sintering temperature, the greater the volume fraction of hydroxyapatite. The Refinement results show that the higher the sintering temperature, the smaller the value of the lattice parameters in the direction of the a and c axes. Variations in sintering temperature also affect the resulting unit cell volume and density. The higher the sintering temperature, the smaller the unit cell volume, conversely the greater the unit cell density value.

Abstract

The Research has been carried out on the level of earthquake hazard in the Bali region based on maximum ground vibration acceleration (PGA) and earthquake intensity. The data that used in this research were obtained from the BMKG and USGS catalogs. The value of the earthquake hazard level is calculated using the appropriate PGA empirical equation through a correlation test of several empirical equations, namely the Katayama, Mc. Guire, Faccioli, Singh et al, Ambraseys, and Wang & Tao with BMKG observation data.. Based on the correlation test, the Katayama equation (1974) was obtained with the smallest error value of 0.52. The calculation results show that the maximum PGA value ranges from 154-1944 gal and the earthquake intensity ranges from VII to X on the MMI scale with the highest hazard level in the Karangasem, Buleleng, and parts of Jembrana districts.

Abstract

Research has been carried out regarding the position test of the drilled well against the aquifer at the Jimbaran Unud Campus on May 12, 2023. The borehole test was carried out using the Audio Magnetotelluric (ADMT) method. To ensure that the water needs of all students at Udayana are met, it is necessary to conduct research on drilled wells at Udayana whether they are suitable for aquifer positions (groundwater). The purpose of this study was to determine the suitability of the position of the drilled well to the aquifer in the ground behind the UNUD Rectorate Building. Based on the interpretation of the results of the research conducted in this paper, the aquifer position sought on line 1 is at a distance of 0–9 m and 21–50 m at a depth of 100–200 m below the ground surface, while on line 2 it is at a distance of 7–50 m at a depth of 100–140 m. Because the position of the Udayana drilled well is at 22.2 m on line 1 and 26.7 m on line 2 with a depth of 74 m, the Udayana drilled well is not yet in the aquifer position sought in this study.
