Abstract

A good scientific work is one that is written with good preparation and systematics. Therefore it is necessary for students to get more information about writing scientific papers. This community service activity aims to provide provisions for new members of the Youth Scientific Work extracurricular (KIR) at SMAN 1 Pasuruan City. Students are expected to be able to write down their creative ideas to produce innovative scientific work based on the results of their critical thinking. The implementation of this activity goes through three stages, namely the presentation of material about scientific writing, the second is interactive discussion and the third is the drafting of scientific work. There were 60 students who took part in this training, they were new members of the Youth Scientific Work extracurricular (KIR). Based on the results of the activities described above, it can be concluded that the provision of youth scientific writing is very good where the level of student understanding is above 85%, namely: Understanding the definition of scientific work by 90%; Understanding Preparation for writing scientific papers by 94%; Systematic understanding of writing scientific papers by 88%; and Understanding of developing scientific writing ideas by 86%. The outputs of this activity are as follows: Training activities for writing scientific papers for youth have produced a work framework which will be continued and developed by each group; This activity adds to the understanding of activity participants who are new members of the Youth Scientific Work extracurricular (KIR); and activity participants have been able to plan research to be carried out through the stages of determining ideas, determining titles, targets or respondents, instruments used and preliminary background problems.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran penting masyarakat dalam mendorong kolaborasi yang efektif di bidang ekonomi untuk mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan. Bahasa adalah alat komunikasi penting di banyak sektor, termasuk ekonomi. Dalam konteks globalisasi dan era digital, kemampuan berkomunikasi secara efektif dengan berbagai pihak menjadi semakin penting untuk mencapai tujuan ekonomi berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan interdisipliner untuk menggabungkan aspek linguistik, ekonomi, dan sosial untuk menyelidiki bagaimana bahasa dapat menjadi katalisator keberhasilan kolaborasi dalam dunia ekonomi. Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kualitas kolaborasi dan dampaknya terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi. Hasil kajian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan baru tentang potensi bahasa sebagai sarana untuk meningkatkan kolaborasi lintas sektor dalam menjawab berbagai tantangan ekonomi, termasuk inovasi produk dan layanan, akses pasar global, dan peningkatan daya saing. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga diharapkan dapat memberikan masukan kepada para pemangku kepentingan terkait bagaimana memanfaatkan bahasa secara optimal dalam konteks ekonomi yang semakin terhubung dan terintegrasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk campur kode dan fungsi campur kode dalam caption Prilly Latuconsina pada materi promosi film di instagram. Penulisan caption di akun instagram Prilly Latuconsina menyita banyak perhatian dan penasaran pembaca karena unggahan tersebut menggunakan lebih dari satu bahasa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu Prilly Latuconsina, sedangkan objek penelitian yaitu tuturan yang mengandung campur kode dalam caption Prilly Latuconsina. Adapun data penelitian ini adalah tuturan dalam caption instagram Prilly Latuconisa yang mengandung campur kode khususnya pada materi promosi film. Sumber data berasal dari akun instagram Prilly Latuconsina. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat bentuk campur kode dan fungsi campur kode dalam caption Prilly Latucosina. Bentuk campur kode yang ditemukan berupa bentuk penyisipan unsur berupa kata, penyisipan unsur berupa frasa, penyisipan unsur berupa baster, penyisipan unsur berupa pengulangan kata, dan penyisipan unsur berupa klausa. Adapun fungsi campur kode yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menghormati, penegasan suatu hal, meningkatkan gengsi, mengakrabkan suatu pembicaraan, penyesuaian materi pembicaraan, dan menujukkan situasi emosional. Bentuk campur kode penyisipan unsur berupa kata menjadi dominan karena dalam tuturan tersebut penutur memberikan nuansa berbeda ketika mempromosikan sebuah film yang digarap. Adapun fungsi campur kode yang dominan yaitu fungsi penyesuaian materi pembicaraan, karena penutur sebagai orang yang berkecimpung dalam dunia perfilman baik pemeran maupun produser lebih memilih menggunakan kode lain yang sesuai dengan topik yang sedang dibicarakan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of perlocutionary speech acts used by teachers in Indonesian language learning at SMAN 4 Pasuruan. Speech acts used by teachers in learning activities have been widely analyzed by previous researchers, but have not been found specifically discussing perlocutionary speech acts. This perlocutionary speech act is difficult to identify, because it must be accompanied by the context so that it causes influence by the interlocutor. This research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subject of the research is Indonesian language teachers, while the object of research is Indonesian language learning activities. The instruments in this study consisted of primary instruments, namely the researcher himself, and secondary instruments, namely data collection tables. The data of this research is the teacher's speech when conducting learning activities in class XI. The data source was obtained from the observation at the school located at SMAN 4 Pasuruan. This data collection technique uses observation, recording, interview, documentation, and recording the results of the recording in the form of data transcripts. The data analysis technique uses stages such as data reduction, data presentation, data interpretation, conclusion drawing and verification. The result of this research is the form of perlocutionary speech acts using Leech's theory. The forms of perlocutionary speech acts found include indicators of giving the interlocutor know that, persuade, encourage, annoy, frighten, please, make the interlocutor do something, inspire, impress, divert attention, make the interlocutor think about, relieve, embarrass, attract attention, and tedious. However, no data was found on the indicators of deceiving and inspiring. The form of perlocutionary speech act that is most commonly found in this study is in the indicator of encouraging and making the interlocutor do something.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form and function of conversational maxims in the I-Talk program on Insert Live. The inappropriateness of the speaker's speech in responding to the presenter's speech and the lack of communication strategies carried out by the presenter in talking to the speaker are the background for the researcher to choose the speech between Maria Christy and Amanda Caesa in the I-Talk program to be studied. This study uses a descriptive research type with a qualitative approach, because it can explain simply and clearly based on the focus of the study. The data in this study are the speech between Maria Christy and Amanda Caesa in the I-Talk program on Insert Live which contain conversational maxims, and the data sources are obtained from the I-Talk program on the Insert Live platform. The data collection technique in this study uses the free listening technique and the note-taking technique. The data analysis technique in this study uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results of this study are the form and function of conversational maxims in the I-Talk program. The forms of conversational maxims found are the maxim of quantity, the maxim of quality, the maxim of relevance, and the maxim of implementation. The conversational maxim functions found are assertive, directive, and expressive functions. The maxim of quantity is the most frequently found in this study, because Maria Christy and Amanda Caesa provide informative speech or information and do not exceed what is needed. The assertive function is the most frequently found in this study, because Maria Christy and Amanda Caesa provide speech that functions to state, ask, and explain as an effective communication strategy between speakers and conversation partners in the I-Talk event on Insert Live.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain an objective picture of students' language politeness in learning at SMAN 1 Pasuruan City. The type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The data of this research is in the form of students' language politeness and its context. The data source in this research is the students' speech in learning at SMAN 1 Pasuruan City. The technique of data collection is simak catat technique. The main instrument in this research is the researcher himself. The analysis technique is done through (1) data reduction, (2) data presentation, (3) verification of data analysis results, and (4) conclusion drawing. The results of this study show that the communication made by students in learning at SMAN 1 Pasuruan still maintains language politeness which is shown in the use of tact maxim, generosity maxim, approbation maxim, and agreement maxim. However, students of SMAN 1 Pasuruan also still violate the politeness of approbation maxim and diction errors. The more dominant use of the politeness maxim shows that the students' character in language politeness is still well maintained as a form of maintaining cultural norms.

Abstract

This qualitative study investigated the verbal use of teacher symbols in a classroom Indonesian at a private university in Surabaya, Indonesia. Anchored by qualitative analysis and followed by two female teachers and five Indonesian Department students, the data was collected through interviews and in-depth observation. It was designed to find out what types of pragmahypersemiotic verbal symbols teachers use in the classroom, as well as the extent to which pragmahypersemiotic verbal symbols contribute to student feedback in class. Using the analytical lens of verbal symbol power in the classroom, the research findings show that the type of verbal power teacher symbol used in the classroom is the symbol of Directive, Request, and enticement. However, verbal symbols can have a positive impact on student feedback because students can participate actively in class, and can build motivation and confidence when interacting with both teachers and classmates.

Abstract

Pidato kenegaraan adalah pidato resmi yang disampaikan oleh kepala negara atau kepala pemerintahan kepada legislatif atau publik, biasanya berisi gambaran keadaan negara, pencapaian pemerintah, dan rencana kebijakan masa depan. Fenomena pidato kenegaraan Presiden Jokowi pada setiap sidang tahunan MPR/DPRD dapat dianalisis dari berbagai perspektif seperti konten, tema, gaya penyampaian, dan respons masyarakat. Pidato ini mencakup isu strategis seperti pembangunan ekonomi, kesejahteraan sosial, infrastruktur, pendidikan, dan lingkungan, serta mencerminkan dinamika politik dan kondisi sosial-ekonomi baik dalam negeri maupun global. Penelitian ini fokus pada pidato kenegaraan Presiden Jokowi pada sidang tahunan MPR/DPRD tanggal 16 Agustus 2023, dengan analisis retorika persuasif yang digunakan dalam pidato tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakaan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan memanfaatkan pendekatan deskripsif. Metode ini selaras dengan tujuan penelitian yang ingin dicapai, yaitu mendeskripsikan  retorika kenegaraan presiden Jokowi pada sidang tahunan MPR/DPRD. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Pidato kenegaraan Presiden Jokowi pada sidang tahunan MPR/DPRD 16 Agustus 2023 mencakup penerapan tiga jenis retorika yang penting dalam komunikasi politik dan pemerintahan retorika forensik, demonstratif, dan deliberatif.

Abstract

This research analyzes illocutionary speech acts in the speech of Raditya Dika and Henry Manampiring on YouTube social media, which aims to describe the form of illocutionary speech acts used by Raditya Dika and Henry Manampiring. The research method used is descriptive qualitative using the technique of watching and taking notes on YouTube videos. According to the theory used, namely Searle's theory. The research results show that Raditya Dika and Henry Manampiring use various forms of illocutionary speech acts, including assertive, directive, expressive, commissive and declarative. Assertive speech acts are the most dominant, reflecting the speaker's beliefs conveyed descriptively and informatively. This research provides in-depth insight into how to communicate and interact via social media platforms and can be a reference for further pragmatic research, especially regarding illocutionary speech acts.  Keywords: speech act; illocutionary; YouTube; pragmatics.

Abstract

Penelitian dengan judul "Analisis Gaya Bahasa Sarkasme Dalam Kanal Youtube Tretan Universe Dengan Judul “Ekslusif Debat Capres” " bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan makna gaya bahasa sarkasme. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah  tuturan yang mengandung gaya bahasa sarkasme pada video Channel youtube Tretan Universe dengan judul “Ekslusif  Debat Capres”. Sumber data pada penelitian ini adalah video platform youtube dengan judul “Ekslusif Debat Capres”. Berdasarkan fokus penelitian yang ada maka metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian  ini menggunakan teknik simak dan catat. Metode yang digunakan pada tahap analisis data  adalah teknik induktif, teknik kategorisasi, dan teknik sintesis data. Sedangkan untuk instrumen penelitian peneliti menggunakan tabel pengumpulan data. Pada penelitian ini peneliti menemukan bentuk dan makna gaya bahasa sarkasme diantaranya, sarkasme bentuk penolakan, sarkasme bentuk penyampaian larangan, sarkasme bentuk penyampaian informasi, sarkasme bentuk penyampaian penegasan, sarkasme bentuk penyampaian pendapat, sarkasme bentuk penyampaian perintah, sarkasme bentuk penyampaian pertanyaan, sarkasme bentuk penyampaian  persamaan, dan sarkasme bentuk penyampaian perbandingan. Pada penelitian ini, bentuk gaya sarkasme paling banyak ditemukan adalah bentuk penyampaian pendapat. Adapun jenis perubahan makna yang ditemukan pada data diantaranya makna total, makna penghalusan, dan makna pengkasaran. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan dalam dunia pembelajaran terutama pada bidang Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia.
