Abstract

Abstrak: Pelatihan asertif bertujuan meningkatkan kepercayaan diri peserta didik SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Prambanan Klaten dalam pengambilan keputusan karier. Masalah yang sering dihadapi remaja adalah kurangnya pemahaman mengenai konsep diri dan kesulitan dalam mengekspresikan diri secara asertif. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik tentang konsep diri, perilaku asertif, dan kepercayaan diri dalam memilih karier. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan asertif melalui sosialisasi, penyuluhan, dan simulasi. Pelatihan ini diikuti oleh 45 peserta didik. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur peningkatan pemahaman dan kepercayaan diri peserta dengan jumlah pernyataan pada skala self confidence dan kematangan karir masing-masing berjumlah 25 butir pernyataan. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada semua indikator, yaitu 40% untuk pemahaman konsep diri, 38% untuk perilaku asertif, dan 55% untuk kepercayaan diri dalam pengambilan keputusan karier. Kesimpulan, pelatihan asertif terbukti efektif meningkatkan soft skills peserta didik, khususnya dalam hal kepercayaan diri dan pengambilan keputusan. Rekomendasi untuk penelitian selanjutnya adalah mengembangkan program pelatihan lanjutan yang fokus pada komunikasi berbasis self-instruction untuk memperkuat hasil yang telah dicapai. Abstract: Assertive training aims to increase the self-confidence of SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Prambanan Klaten students in making career decisions. Problems often faced by adolescents are lack of understanding of self-concept and difficulty in expressing themselves assertively. The purpose of this activity is to increase students' understanding of self-concept, assertive behavior, and self-confidence in choosing a career. The method used is assertive training through socialization, counseling, and simulation. This training was attended by [number] students. Evaluation was carried out through pre-test and post-test to measure the increase in understanding and self-confidence of participants. The results showed a significant increase in all indicators, namely 40% for understanding self-concept, 38% for assertive behavior, and 55% for self-confidence in making career decisions. In conclusion, assertive training has proven effective in increasing students' soft skills, especially in terms of self-confidence and decision making. Recommendations for further research are to develop advanced training programs that focus on self-instruction-based communication to strengthen the results that have been achieved.

Abstract

Abstrak: Layanan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah menengah di SMP Negeri 2 Godean menghadapi kendala seperti rasio guru konselor yang tidak ideal dan metode layanan konvensional yang kurang inovatif. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan aksesibilitas dan kualitas layanan bimbingan dan konseling melalui implementasi terapi Virtual Reality (VR). Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, workshop, dan pendampingan bagi guru dan siswa, dengan evaluasi yang dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara terstruktur. Program ini melibatkan 10 guru bimbingan dan konseling serta 384 siswa. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan 100% dalam kemampuan guru menggunakan teknologi VR dan peningkatan 85% aksesibilitas layanan bimbingan dan konseling bagi siswa. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan keterlibatan siswa dalam layanan bimbingan sebesar 70%, menunjukkan dampak positif terhadap kualitas layanan yang diberikan.Abstract: The guidance and counseling services at SMP Negeri 2 Godean face challenges such as an inadequate counselor-to-student ratio and conventional, less innovative service methods. The goal of this community service is to enhance the accessibility and quality of guidance and counseling services through the implementation of Virtual Reality (VR) therapy. Methods include socialization, training, workshops, and mentoring for teachers and students, with evaluation conducted through structured interviews and observations. The program involves 10 guidance counselors and 384 students. Results show a 100% increase in teachers' ability to use VR technology and an 85% improvement in service accessibility for students. Additionally, there is a 70% increase in student engagement in counseling services, indicating a positive impact on the quality of services provided.

Abstract

Background: Secondary school counseling services often face challenges such as limited counselor availability and low student participation. Traditional counseling methods frequently fail to engage students, thus reducing both accessibility and impact. Integrating Virtual Reality (VR) and mobile-based interventions presents a promising solution to address these issues. Objective: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a gamified blended mobile and VR therapy in enhancing accessibility, cognitive-emotional-behavioral engagement, and motivation within secondary school counseling services. Methods: A mixed-methods research design was employed, combining quantitative methods (pre- and post-intervention surveys, along with behavioral tracking) and qualitative methods (semi-structured interviews and thematic analysis of focus group discussions). These methods were chosen to capture both measurable impacts and participants’ perceptions of the intervention. A total of 384 students and 10 counselors participated in an 8-week intervention. Results: The intervention led to a significant improvement in the Accessibility Index (from 3.2 to 4.6). Additionally, engagement across cognitive, emotional, and behavioral dimensions showed marked improvements. Thematic analysis revealed that students appreciated the safety and realism provided by the digital counseling environment. Conclusion: The gamified blended therapy approach effectively enhanced counseling accessibility and multidimensional engagement, offering a scalable, student-centered solution for secondary school counseling services.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kontribusi layanan bimbingan dan konseling berparadigma profetik terhadap kemampuan aktualisasi diri dan orientasi masa depan siswa SMK. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif ex-post facto, populasi penelitian adalah 300 siswa kelas XII SMKN 1 Pengasih, dengan sampel 80 siswa yang dipilih melalui Simple Random Sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan skala psikologis berbentuk Skala Likert. Hasil uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk menunjukkan bahwa variabel layanan bimbingan dan konseling berparadigma profetik, aktualisasi diri, dan orientasi masa depan terdistribusi secara normal. Uji linearitas menggunakan scatterplot mengindikasikan hubungan linear positif antara layanan bimbingan dan konseling berparadigma profetik dengan kemampuan aktualisasi diri dan orientasi masa depan. Analisis korelasi Pearson menunjukkan bahwa layanan bimbingan dan konseling berparadigma profetik memiliki hubungan positif signifikan dengan aktualisasi diri siswa dan orientasi masa depan siswa. Analisis regresi linear menunjukkan hasil bahwa layanan bimbingan dan konseling berparadigma profetik mampu menjelaskan sebagian besar variasi dalam kemampuan aktualisasi diri siswa. Peningkatan persepsi terhadap layanan ini memprediksi peningkatan signifikan pada aktualisasi diri. Layanan yang sama juga berkontribusi pada variasi dalam orientasi masa depan siswa. Peningkatan layanan bimbingan dan konseling profetik juga memprediksi peningkatan orientasi masa depan. Meskipun layanan bimbingan dan konseling profetik signifikan untuk kedua variabel secara terpisah, tidak ditemukan hubungan statistik yang signifikan antara kemampuan aktualisasi diri dan orientasi masa depan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa layanan bimbingan dan konseling berparadigma profetik secara positif dan signifikan berkontribusi pada peningkatan aktualisasi diri dan orientasi masa depan siswa SMK. Namun, ditemukan kendala dalam implementasi layanan BK profetik di SMKN 1 Pengasih, seperti fokus pada siswa Muslim dan kurangnya pemahaman indikator perilaku profetik di kalangan siswa, yang memerlukan pengembangan strategi dan materi yang lebih inklusif.

Abstract

Family economic problems represent a critical factor that can disrupt household harmony and overall well-being. Financial stressors such as income instability, debt, lack of financial management skills, and differing financial values may undermine communication, intensify conflict, and diminish emotional support among family members. This study aims to explore the role of counselors in addressing economic challenges within families and fostering harmony through family counseling. Employing a qualitative approach, data were gathered to capture in-depth perspectives on the impact of economic issues and the interventions provided. Family counseling is viewed as a process that engages all members in identifying problems, enhancing communication, and developing mutually beneficial solutions. Counselors utilize various approaches, including systemic family therapy, narrative methods, and cognitive-behavioral techniques, while integrating financial planning and collaborating with financial experts when necessary. Findings indicate that effective counseling interventions contribute to increased family resilience, improved emotional stability, and strengthened interpersonal relationships, even in the context of severe economic strain. This study underscores the importance of combining psychosocial support with financial guidance to restore harmony, maintain stability, and promote a cohesive, supportive family environment.

Abstract

Vocational education is education that prepares students to be able to work in certain situations in certain fields. In line with the goals of vocational education, it places more emphasis on practice, especially career adaptability. However, there are several obstacles related to this ability, including: students do not understand future career decisions, lack confidence in making job decisions according to their talents, one of which is related to career adaptability. This research is correlational research regarding the relationship between hardiness abilities and vocational school students' career adaptability abilities. The sample in the research was simple random sampling, totaling 40 vocational school students. The data collection instrument used the hardiness and career adaptability scale instruments. The research results show that the correlation test between hardiness (X) and career adaptability (Y) is 0.912 with sig. = 0.000 (p<0.01). In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between these two variables. This can be seen in the aspects of control, commitment and challenge. In line with these results, it means that the higher the student's hardiness, the higher their career adaptability will also be. Apart from that, career adaptability and hardiness are able to make individuals develop and control the situations they face.

Abstract

Sebagian mahasiswa semester akhir pada lingkungan Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan di Universitas Mercu Buana Yogyakarta sering kali mengeluh perihal kesulitan mengerjakan tugas akhir. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui coping proaktif mahasiswa dalam mengerjakan tugas akhir di Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan di Universitas Mercu Buana Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode survey. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 98 mahasiswa dan jumlah sampel 49 mahasiswa melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner kemudian dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa coping proaktif mahasiswa dalam mengerjakan tugas akhir yaitu dilihat dari 13 aspek coping proaktif yaitu aspek keaktifan 8,53%, aspek mencari dukungan sosial bersifat emosional 7,72%, aspek penindasan aktivitas bersaing 8,04%, aspek positif penafsiran ulang dan pertumbuhan 7,44%, aspek penerimaan 8,60%, aspek kontrol diri 7,69%, aspek mencari dukungan sosial bersifat instrumental 7,69%, aspek pelepasan perilaku 7,45%, aspek religiusitas 7,85%, aspek perencanaan 8,57%, aspek fokus dan pelampiasan emosi 5,96%, aspek penolakan 6,90%, aspek pelepasan mental 7,57%. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa aspek coping proaktif mahasiswa dalam mengerjakan tugas akhir paling besar dalam penelitian ini yaitu aspek penerimaan sedangkan aspek paling rendah ada pada aspek fokus dan pelampiasan emosi.

Abstract

School violence, such as bullying and intimidation, remains a crucial issue with a serious impact on student well-being, despite various preventative measures. Conventional guidance and counseling services, which often employ methods such as lectures and group discussions, are considered ineffective in fostering empathy and providing a deeper understanding of the impact of violence. To address this gap, an innovative intervention called Virtual Reality Therapy (VRT) was proposed and implemented. VRT uses realistic simulations, allowing students to experience violent scenarios from multiple perspectives: as victims, perpetrators, and witnesses. The program includes training for guidance and counseling teachers, VR content creation workshops, and implementation support, aimed at improving their technical skills and readiness to adopt the technology. Evaluations using pretests and posttests showed significant improvement. This improvement demonstrates that VRT is an effective and transformative tool for creating safer and more violence-free school environments.

Abstract

Photovoice is a participatory research method that places humans, especially those who are marginalized, as active subjects in the process of data collection and analysis. Rather than being passive research objects, photovoice participants are given the opportunity to express their perspectives, experiences, and knowledge through the lens of a camera. The photovoice method places humans as subjects who have valuable knowledge, experiences, and perspectives. By giving them the tools to express themselves, photovoice can produce a deeper understanding of social issues and encourage positive change. The purpose of this study was to see the effectiveness of photovoice on increasing self-esteem and career maturity of vocational high school students in Bantul. The research method used was a quasi-experimental method using a non-equivalent control group design, each experimental group and control group will be given a pretest and post-test. The results obtained in this study are that photovoice is effective in increasing self-esteem and career maturity of vocational high school students. Photovoice adalah sebuah metode penelitian partisipatif yang menempatkan manusia, khususnya mereka yang terpinggirkan, sebagai subjek aktif dalam proses pengumpulan data dan analisis. Alih-alih menjadi objek penelitian yang pasif, peserta photovoice diberikan kesempatan untuk mengungkapkan perspektif, pengalaman, dan pengetahuan mereka melalui lensa kamera. Metode photovoice menempatkan manusia sebagai subjek yang memiliki pengetahuan, pengalaman, dan perspektif yang berharga. Dengan memberikan mereka alat untuk mengungkapkan diri mereka sendiri, photovoice dapat menghasilkan pemahaman yang lebih dalam tentang isu-isu sosial dan mendorong perubahan positif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melihat keefektifan photovoice terhadap peningkatan harga diri dan kematangan karir peserta didik SMK di Bantul. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan non equivalent control group design, masing kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol akan diberi pretest dan posttest. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah photovoice efektif terhadap peningkatan harga diri dan kematangan karir peserta didik SMK.

Abstract

High school students' self-esteem problems can vary greatly and are influenced by many factors. Some common issues that can affect high school students' self-esteem include: social comparison, academic demands, and identity disorders and lack of social support. Responding to the problem of self-esteem, the service team provided an alternative solution with art therapy training to increase the self-esteem of high school students. The art therapy training process involved 40 high school students which included the process of drawing on aspects of the self including: strength, significance, ability and wisdom. The results of art therapy training using the paired T-test showed a figure of -6.17, mean -16.0, standard deviation 2.59, with a 2-tailed significance of 0.007. The results of the Paired Sample T-Test show that the T-value is -6.17 with a p-value of <0.001. The p-value is smaller than 0.05, which indicates that there is a significant difference in self-esteem abilities before and after participating in art therapy training. Apart from that, art therapy has an important role in adolescent mental health, especially in relation to individual self-esteem by overcoming social and emotional problems of adolescents after being given training.
