Abstract

One model that aims to accelerate the learning process is the accelerated learning model. This learning model, with its unique principles, aims to achieve better learning outcomes in a shorter period of time. However, it turns out that the accelerated learning model does not work well. The education system in Indonesia allows for large class sizes, with about forty students per class. With the varying conditions of the students, the accelerated learning model will have different consequences, both positive and negative. Therefore, in order to understand the psychological impact of this model on students during the learning process, this research needs to be conducted. This study is a qualitative research that uses a critical analytical approach and aims to critique the accelerated learning model. The data used consists of open-ended questionnaires and relevant literature. This study focuses on the psychological implications of the accelerated learning model on students. Based on the research findings, it is known that the positive impact of the model is that students will feel motivated and confident in completing additional tasks. However, the negative impact is that it can lead academically high-achieving students to not appreciate their lower-performing peers and create jealousy among them. Abstrak Salah satu model yang bertujuan untuk mempercepat proses pembelajaran adalah model accelerated learning. Model pembelajaran ini dengan prinsip-prinsipnya yang unik bertujuan untuk mencapai hasil belajar yang lebih baik dalam waktu yang lebih singkat. Ternyata model accelerated learning tidak berjalan dengan baik. Sistem pembelajaran di Indonesia memungkinkan rombongan belajar, atau jumlah siswa per kelas, sekitar empat puluh siswa. Dengan kondisi siswa yang bervariatif, model accelerated learning akan memiliki konsekuensi yang berbeda, baik positif maupun negatif. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengetahui dampak psikologis model tersebut terhadap siswa dalam proses pembelajaran, penelitian ini harus dilakukan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan pendekatan analitis kritis dan bertujuan untuk mengkritik model accelerated learning. Data yang digunakan adalah angket terbuka dan literatur terkait. Penelitian ini berfokus pada implikasi psikologis model accelerated learning terhadap siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa dampak positif model tersebut adalah siswa akan merasa termotivasi dan percaya diri untuk menyelesaikan tugas-tugas tambahan. Namun, dampak negatifnya adalah membuat siswa yang kemampuan akademisnya tinggi tidak menghargai teman yang lebih rendah dan menimbulkan kecemburuan di antara mereka.

Abstract

Pembelajaran PAI secara online mengalami berbagai tantangan dan juga hambatan. Tantangan dan hambatan telah dirasakan oleh guru ketika pembelajaran online pada masa pandemi covid-19. Berbekal pada pengalaman tersebut, guru tentunya memiliki tanggapan tersendiri jika pembelajaran PAI online diberlakukan pada kondisi normal. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pemberian kuesioner kepada guru PAI. Informasi yang ditemukan bahwa hambatan dan tantangan pembelajaran PAI online adalah tidak semua materi PAI dapat dibelajarkan secara online, sulit untuk menentukan metode pembelajaran sehingga berimbas pada tidak tercapainya target pembelajaran, dan platform yang digunakan belum sepenuhnya dapat dipahami oleh guru. Materi PAI yang memungkinkan untuk dibelajarkan secara online yaitu materi yang bersifat pengetahuan. Selain itu, guru berpendapat bahwa platform yang mudah digunakan adalah google classroom, google meet, zoom, whatsApp, dan youtube. Selanjutnya, 64% dari responden menyatakan keberatannya untuk menerapkan pembelajaran PAI secara online pada masa normal. Adapun yang menyatakan setuju sebanyak 36%  memberikan persyaratan pembelajaran PAI dilakukan secara blended. Ketentuannya 20-40% online. Abstract

The reading ability of beginner students at SD Negeri Lamklat is still low. In a reading lesson, they can name the letters of the alphabet in the reading sequence from A to Z. However, if the letters are scrambled, most students cannot remember how to pronounce the letters correctly. Apart from that, their pronunciation and intonation when reading are also inappropriate. Therefore, this research aims to determine the influence of the Picture and Picture learning model to improve the beginning reading skills of grade I students at SD Negeri Lamklat, Kabupaten Aceh Besar. The research method used is the One Group Pre-test-Post-test Design of Pre-Experiment. The sample of this study was 22 grade 1 students. An oral pre-test and post-test were used to collect the data. Completion of the initial reading ability test results is carried out using statistical tests with a significance level of 0.05 and using the percentage formula. The results of the research show that the use of pictures and pictures influences the students' ability. After testing, it is found that t-test = 4.395 and t-table = 1.721. Thus, t-test ≥ t-table or 4.395 > 1.721. Therefore, it can be concluded that the hypothesis in this research (Ha) is accepted. In addition, the average score for the pre-test was 51.363 and the post-test was 91.363. Thus, the finding shows that there is an impact of the use of the Picture and Picture learning model in developing the initial reading ability of the students.

Abstract

In the digital era, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teacher students are required to be familiar with forms of assessment in learning. The assessment can be done online via certain applications. One of the online assessment applications is Quizizz. The students who are potentially to improve the quality of education in the future must be able to understand the Quizizz online assessment application. They must be able to think critically by criticizing the advantages and disadvantages of the Quizizz application in learning assessment. This research aims to describe the perceptions of PAI teacher students regarding the implementation of the Quizizz application as an online assessment platform. This research was done in October 2023. To collect field data, researchers used a descriptive qualitative research design by using questionnaire. The questionnaire used is a Likert scale. The results of research on 44 PAI teacher students revealed that they tend to have very good perceptions on the implementation of the Quizizz application as an online assessment platform in learning. This is shown by the overall perception value of 85.15% in the very good category.  Thus, it can be concluded that Quizizz as online assessment platform can be useful for teacher-candidate students and is possible to be applied in the future.

Abstract

Learning is dynamic process following development of society over time. Learning any material, including Islamic religious learning, is required to meet the demands of society. So that Islamic religious learning continues to run well in this digital era, a good strategy is needed. This article is the result of meta-analysis research which analyzed several articles in the last five years. This research maps Islamic learning strategies in the digital era. Apart from that, this research also maps the reasons why this strategy has become a mainstay strategy according to the authors of the articles analyzed. Based on the research results, it can be mapped that the strategies presented in these articles are blended learning, participatory and social media-based learning strategies. Furthermore, it was also found that to support strategies that are directly related to learning, there needs to be supporting strategies that must be implemented. These supporting strategies are increasing human resources, developing an integrated curriculum, optimizing digital libraries, improving the quality of education, and digital media literacy. In general, the reason of the article authors presents this strategy is to make learning about Islam more interesting and attractive to the generation in this digital era.

Abstract

The problem of education, especially in learning, is the low quality, relevance, and efficiency of learning so that the responsiveness and comprehension of students are very low. A learning approach is needed that fosters creativity and innovation in students, namely through the application of Contextual Learning (PKB). This article aims to explain the concept of implementing the Contextual Learning (PKB) model in the educational process in elementary schools. Contextual learning is an educational approach that allows instructors to connect learning materials with real-world scenarios and their relevance in the role of students as family members, citizens, and employees, while fostering active participation in the learning tasks required. The contextual approach (PKB) must be applied, because education is still dominated by the perception that knowledge consists of facts that require memorization. In this scenario, the function and role of the teacher remain dominant, so that students become obedient and uncreative. Students are expected to learn from personal experience rather than memorizing through this contextual approach. PKB emphasizes the importance of student involvement in finding material, highlights the importance of direct experience, and does not anticipate that students only absorb lessons; instead, PKB encourages students to actively seek learning resources. CTL improves students' ability to apply knowledge in real life, which shows that CTL not only aims for students to understand the topic but also understand how the topic affects their behavior in everyday life.

Abstract

UIN Ar-Raniry students came from various educational backgrounds, such as senior high school, vocational school, islamic high school, and islamic boarding school. Students from the 2024/2025 academic year are part of a generation that is familiar with technology. They have their own preferences in responding to the use of online learning media. This research aims to analyze student preferences for learning classes and learning resources associated with online learning media. Data was obtained by administering a Likert scale questionnaire via Google Form. Based on research data, it is known that even though they are used to technology, they do not consider online learning media as a necessity. Their attitudes towards online learning media tend to be good or neutral, with a balanced preference between using online and offline learning media. In general, the preferences of students from various educational backgrounds show similarities in the use of online learning media, without any significant differences based on their educational backgrounds.

Abstract

The period under the age of five (Toddler) is the most critical phase that determines the quality of human resources. During the toddler years, the growth and development process occurs rapidly and is referred to as the golden period, which, if not nurtured properly, will experience disruptions in emotional, social, and intellectual development. One of the early detection methods for developmental screening uses the Denver Developmental Screening Test (DDST), which is one of the tests or screening methods frequently used to detect development, covering personal-social development, fine motor skills, language, and gross motor skills in children. DDST examinations can be conducted in places with growth and development monitoring activities, such as posyandu (integrated health posts) and children's play areas. This service aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of daycare caregivers regarding training methods followed by discussions. The counseling material provided includes child development, DDST, and practical DDST examination for toddlers. Previously, a pre-test was conducted and concluded with a post-test. This activity was conducted on Friday, May 17, 2024. This activity was attended by 7 participants consisting of caregivers and parents of infants at the Daycare Rumah Pelangi in Balikpapan City. From the completion of the questionnaire and pretest, it was found that all (100%) participants who attended this activity had never received health education regarding child development and child development detection using DDST. Before the training, the participants had no knowledge of DDST at all, and after the training, the participants knew how to fill out the DDST. Counseling on early detection of child development using the DDST method is very beneficial in enhancing the knowledge and skills of caregivers and parents at the Pelangi House Day Care in Balikpapan City.   Abstrak Masa di bawah usia lima tahun (Balita) adalah periode paling kritis yang menentukan kualitas sumber daya manusia. Pada masa balita proses tumbuh kembang berlangsung cepat dan dikatakan sebagai masa emas yang apabila tidak dibina dengan baik akan mengalami gangguan dalam perkembangan emosi, sosial dan kecerdasan. Salah satu Deteksi dini Skrining perkembangan menggunakan Denver Development Skrining Test (DDST) yaitu salah satu tes atau metode skrining yang sering digunakan untuk mendeteksi perkembangan yang dinilai meliputi perkembangan personal sosial, motorik halus, bahasa, dan motorik kasar pada anak. Pemeriksaan DDST dapat dilakukan di tempat dengan kegiatan pemantauan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan seperti di posyandu dan tempat bermain anak. Materi penyuluhan yang diberikan mencakup tumbuh kembang anak, DDST, dan praktik pemeriksaan DDST kepada balita. Sebelumnya dilakukan pre test dan diakhiri dengan post test. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada hari jumat tanggal 17 Mei 2024. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 7 peserta penyuluhan yang terdiri dari guru pengasuh yang ada Daycare Rumah Pelangi Kota Balikapapan. Dari pengisian kuisioner dan pretest diketahui bahwa seluruh (100%) peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan ini belum pernah mendapat penyuluhan kesehatan mengenai perkembangan anak serta deteksi perkembangan anak dengan DDST. Sebelum dilakukan pelatihan para peserta tidak mengetahui sama sekali DDST dan setelah dilakukan para peserta sudah mengetahui cara pengisian DDST. Penyuluhan mengenai deteksi dini tumbuh kembang anak menggunakan metode DDST sangat bermanfaat dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan Guru Pengasuh dan orang tua di Day Care rumah Pelangi kota Balikpapan. Saran aran dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat yang akan datang adalah diperlukan peningkatan dan jumlah guru pengasuh yang di berikan edukasi tumbuh kembang dan deteksi.
