Abstract

Assalamah Playgroup-Kindergarten as one of the early childhood institution seeks to develop innovative learning models by using interactive learning cd developed by teachers. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity of the media developed by teachers and to know how big the effectiveness of instructional media used in learning activities.The method used in this research is to use an experimental method that is pretest-posttest control group design that compares the learning achievement of children before and after treated learning by using power point learning cd and compared between the experimental group and the control group.Results from this study are media generated was declared invalid. It is based on data obtained from experts and materialvalidator. In addition to a valid media used in learning with religious themes on Assalamah Playgroup-Kindergartenin Ungaran also effective in the learning activities, it can be seen from the rise in learning outcomes among students, especially in kindergarten B.

Abstract

Assalamah Pre-school & Kindergarten as one of the early childhood institution seeks to develop an innovative learning model by using interactive learning CD developed by the teachers. The aim of this study was to determine the validity of the media developed by teachers and to know how big the effectiveness of instructional media used in the learning activities. The method used in this research is to use an experimental method that is pretest-posttest control group design to compare the learning achievement of children before and after being treated by using powerpoint-based learning and compared between the experimental group and the control group. The results from this study show that the media are declared valid. It is based on the data obtained from experts validator and material validator. Abstract

Descriptive Study of the Application of Deaf Children Language Development in TLO (Taman Latihan dan Observasi) Class in Semarang State Special School. Faculty of Education. Semarang State University. Indonesia. The Application of deaf children language ability development is a teaching-learning activity focusing on deaf children language acquisition through approaches, methods and media adapted to the children condition and needs. The research aims to 1) describe deaf children language development, 2) explain the application of deaf children language ability development in TLO (Taman Latihan dan Observasi) class in Semarang State Special School, 3) explain push-pull factors of the application of deaf children language ability development in TLO (Taman Latihan dan Observasi) class in Semarang State Special School. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method to understand the phenomenon happened by the research subjects, namely the language they possess, and push-pull factors of deaf children language ability. The subjects of the research are deaf students at the age of 3-5 in the TLO class of Semarang State Special School. The data of the research were collected by observation, interview, and documentation. They were analyzed by data reduction, data presentation, verification, and conclusion. The results show that most of all deaf children in TLO class were cried at post delivery as normal do. The fact that they have no stimulation response is a symptom their parents observe. Therefore, the push-pull factor here is the active role of the parents. Hence, there are three conclusions according to the research, namely the cry of deaf children at post delivery as normal do, heart to heart approach done by teachers and the active role of the parents in deaf language development. It is suggested that the teachers are expected to be more creative to conduct teaching activity. In addition, the community support is needed while government and education department formulate learning curriculum for special need children. Abstract

Sebagai sebuah media, poster sering digunakan sebagai media informasi untuk menyampaikan pesan penggunanya. Petits gateaux merupakan salah satu brand yang menggunakan media poster dalam kegiatan iklannya. Bersama sebuah agensi iklan Pheromone dari Kanada, Petits Gateaux merilis 3 seri poster dengan tema "Petits Gateaux, Cupcake Boutique: Small Cakes, Big Occasions." Yang menaraik, ketiga poster tersebut memiliki kesamaan gaaya komunikasi visual dimana satu sama lain salinag terhubung dan membangun  sebuah kesepahaman mengenai sebuah pesan. Hal ini terlihat dari penggunaan tanda-tanda visual dan relasinya yang digunakan dalam setiap poster. Melalui penelitian singkat ini, penulis akan mencoba memaparkan 3 seri poster Petits Gateaux dan membedah penggunaan dan relasi tanda yang ada pada Petits Gateaux guna mengetahui makna yang terkandung di dalamnya.Kata kunci: Poster, Iklan, Tanda, Petits Gateaux

Abstract

Kemasan digunakan untuk melindungi produk dan dimanfaatkan sebagai media persuasi, seperti pada kemasan makanan yang memiliki ilustrasi penggugah selera. Kemasan Indomie varian Mi Goreng tampil dengan ilustrasi foto makanan. Hal ini terlihat baik pada kemasan versi tahun 2006 dan 2010 yang bertujuan untuk menampilkan kesan rasa sedap. Walaupun kedua kemasan tersebut menggunakan teknik fotografi dalam ilustrasi makanan, namun terlihat perbedaan signifikan terhadap foto makanan pada kemasan Indomie varian Mi Goreng tahun 2006 dan 2010. Hal ini menjadi hal yang penting untuk dikaji sehingga dapat diketahui bagaimana Indomie sebagai sebuah perusahaan besar mempersuasi konsumen melalui perubahan foto pada kemasannya. Foto pada kemasan Indomie varian Mi Goreng tahun 2006 dan 2010 dikomparasikan untuk menemukan unsur apa saja yang berubah dan bagaimana perbedaannya secara sudut pandang ilmu fotografi dan persepsi masyarakat. Teori yang digunakan yaitu teori food phototgraphy dari Lou Manna yang menganalisis foto makanan melalui unsur food styling, prop styling, komposisi, dan pencahayaan. Hasil dari penelitian berupa kesimpulan tentang foto manakah yang paling menggugah selera menurut teori Lou Manna dan persepsi masyarakat serta relevansinya. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga dapat dijadikan penelitian lanjutan atau rujukan bagi para fotografer dalam membuat suatu karya foto makanan.

Abstract

Industri game saat ini berkembang sangat pesat, game tidak hanya digunakan sebagai hiburan tapi juga dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembelajaran yang diminat oleh anak-anak. Kebutuhan guru TK saat ini adalah perlunya keterampilan pengembangan game agar pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan bekal keterampilan kepada guru-guru TK tentang pengembangan game berbasis visual coding. Sasaran dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah guru TK yang tergabung dalam IGTKI Provinsi Jawa Tengah.Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian Masyarakat ini adalah dengan pelatihan dan pendampingan. Pelatihan dilakukan secara hybrid yaitu dengan menggabungkan pertemuan secara luring dan daring. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dua kali di tempat yang berbeda yaitu di PAUD Labschool Unnes dan di TK Negeri Polaman Mijen dengan total peserta kurang lebih 300 peserta.Selanjutnya dilaksanakan kegiatan pembimbingan secara online untuk membuka ruang diskusi pengembangan produk. Pada awal dan akhir kegiatan juga dilaksankan pre dan post test untuk mengukur tingkat pemahaman guru dalam pengembangan game.Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru tentang pemahaman coding yaitu dari sebelum pelatihan sebesar 55,48% menjadi 79,92% setelah mengikuti pelatihan.
