Abstract

The church is a place of worship for Christians. Its presence is expected to provide both physical and spiritual tranquility. To achieve this, church facilities must strive to offer comfort to their users, such as the congregation's prayer benches. However, some of these prayer benches fail to provide sufficient comfort because, historically, church bench designs are relics from the past, dating back to when the church was first established, and did not take comfort into account during their design. This is also the case at the Catholic Church of St. John the Evangelist in Kudus, where the congregation's prayer benches are still the original design from when the church was founded. As a result, there have been several complaints about the discomfort from users. The method used in this study employs an ergonomic approach to redesign the congregation's prayer benches at the Catholic Church of St. John the Evangelist in Kudus. Anthropometric data used to design the prayer benches were gathered from Javanese and Chinese ethnic groups, both male and female. The results of the study yielded a design for the prayer benches at the Catholic Church of St. John the Evangelist in Kudus, with the following dimensions: prayer bench length = 334.96 cm; bench width = 43.80 cm; bench height = 39.2 cm; shoulder rest height = 47.53 cm; and prayer handrest height = 60.17 cm. Another outcome of this study is the implication for the church congregation, which is an increased perception of comfort in the design of the prayer benches through the ergonomic approach.

Abstract

XYZ is an electronics company that requires an efficient and timely production process to meet market demand. One way to increase production efficiency is to improve the production line. Currently the company is faced with production problems, namely the existence of unbalanced work groups which have a balance loss value of up to 61%. Therefore, this study tries to solve these problems using the RPW method. The RPW (Ranked Positional Weight) method is a track balancing method by establishing a work station based on the weight of each operation. Where the highest weight becomes the first order in the formation of work stations. From the results of calculations using the RPW, the number of work activity groupings is less, namely as many as 10 work stations. The work station generated using the RPW method has a track efficiency level of 96% with a balance delay value of 4%. This means that the grouping of proposed work activities has a more efficient trajectory balance than the previous grouping of work activities..

Abstract

This paper tries to model agile supply chain management performance indicators in the palm oil industry. The interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM) method is used to find the relationship between these indicators. The ISM stages begin with identifying indicators, compiling contextual relationships, compiling reachability matrices, compiling level partitions, compiling digraphs, and compiling ISM models. Then MICMAC analysis is used to group each of these indicators into four categories based on their driving power and dependence power. In this study, 16 hands of agile supply chain management in the palm oil industry were obtained, of which the four-level ISM model could be constructed. Two indicators are at level 4, six hands are at level 3, three indicators are at level 2, and five indicators are at level 1. Meanwhile, through MICMAC analysis, five indicators are found in the independent indicators category, six hands are in the linkage indicator category, four indicators are included in the dependent indicator category, and one indicator is in the autonomous indicator category. This research can be used by managers in the palm oil industry who want to increase agility in their supply chain. In general, indicators at level 4 can affect indicators at level 3, and so on. So that management can start fixing the indicators at level 4 first. In addition, indicators that have a driving power value in MICMAC analysis can be prioritized to improve their performance.
