Abstract

The Rebo Wekasan tradition is a routine tradition carried out by the people of Japan Village, Mejobo District, Kudus Regency every last Wednesday in the month of Safar on the Hijri calendar. This tradition has spiritual and social meanings, one of which is as an effort to avoid all forms of disasters and calamities (bala') so that the Wali Allah pray to Allah SWT. to avoid unwanted things. This study aims to describe in depth the series of events, meanings, and changes that occur in the implementation of this tradition. The research method used by the author is a qualitative method and a phenomenological perspective. The techniques used by the author are observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that this tradition is still preserved with various series of events such as completing the Al-Qur'an, parades and distribution of salamun water. This tradition also discusses the meaning and changes that occur due to adapting to the times. This activity is needed in order to increase spiritual values, social values for the community. Research is expected to provide a broad understanding of this tradition so that the community is encouraged to preserve local traditions as Indonesian cultural heritage.

Abstract

This research focuses on examining the value of religious moderation implemented in the lives of the Samin people in Blora. The Samin community has typical teachings the religion of Adam, such as placing the value of honesty and simplicity as the main principles in their social interactions. This study aims to describe the pattern of religious moderation that is reflected in the social relations of the Samin community with the surrounding Muslim community. The method used is qualitative research with an interactive approach. Data collection techniques were obtained through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. The research location was Klopoduwur Village, Banjarejo District, Blora Regency. The results showed that the Samin community is able to apply the value of religious moderation in social interaction through the tradition of kenduren, earth alms, and mutual cooperation without distinguishing differences in beliefs. This shows that the Samin community is able to build harmony in the midst of diversity of beliefs through the preservation of local culture. With this, it can be concluded that the Samin community can carry out a harmonious social life through cooperation without causing conflict despite having different beliefs.

Abstract

This study focuses on formulating a development strategy for the Pasir Putih Wates Beach Tourism Village in Tasikharjo Village, Kaliori District, Rembang Regency, to enhance the social welfare of the local community. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques, including observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that Pasir Putih Wates Beach has significant potential in the tourism sector but faces challenges such as limited infrastructure and suboptimal promotion efforts. The proposed strategies involve developing tourism facilities, enhancing the capacity of local human resources, and optimizing digital promotion. The implementation of these strategies is expected to generate new employment opportunities, drive local economic growth, and preserve local culture, thereby improving the welfare of the community.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan menyusun materi pembelajaran IPS berbasis ethnopedagogy dengan mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian studi kepustakaan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa studi terhadap referensi dan hasil penelitian dengan teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran yang lebih mengutamakan orientasi lingkungan sosial penting. Nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dapat dimanfaatkan untuk memperkaya materi sebagai pengembangan topik atau tema. Pengembangan pembelajaran IPS yang berbasis nilai kearifan lokal, diantaranya; 1) proses penentuan topik atau tema; 2) menetapkan judul dari tema; 3) pemilihan serta analisis komponen silabus; 4) menyusun rancangan pembelajaran tematik dengan memadukan beberapa tema materi berdasarkan kompetensi dasar yang relevan.Social studies learning resources based on ethno-pedagogyThis study aims to describe the assemble of ethno-pedagogy-based social studies learning materials by integrating local wisdom values. The research method used is a literature study research method. The data collection technique used is a study of references and research results with the data analysis technique used, namely content analysis. The results show that learning that prioritizes social environment orientation is important. The values of local wisdom can be used to enrich the material as a topic or theme development. The development of social studies learning based on local wisdom values, including 1) the process of determining the topic or theme; 2) set the title of the theme; 3) selection and analysis of syllabus components; 4) develop thematic learning plans by combining several material themes based on relevant basic competencies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap upaya masyarakat Dukuh Patihan, Tanjungrejo, Jekulo, Kudus dalam menjaga kerukunan umat beragama serta menggali peran kearifan lokal dalam membentuk toleransi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat Dukuh Patihan telah berhasil menciptakan lingkungan yang harmonis dan toleran. Berbagai upaya telah dilakukan, seperti penerapan sikap disiplin, komunikasi yang baik, dan saling mendengarkan. Kearifan lokal yang terwujud dalam tradisi-tradisi seperti Maulid, Bari’an, perayaan Lebaran, dan upacara pemakaman telah menjadi perekat sosial dan memperkuat nilai-nilai toleransi. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kearifan lokal memiliki peran yang sangat signifikan dalam membentuk toleransi umat beragama di Dukuh Patihan. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang pentingnya kearifan lokal dalam membangun kerukunan umat beragama.Kata kunci: kearifan lokal, toleransi, umat beragama, Dukuh Patihan.

Abstract

Masjid Mantingan atau juga sering di kenal sebagai Masjid Astana Sultan Hadlirin yang terletak di Desa Mantingan, Kabupaten Jepara. Didirikan pada tahun 1559, masjid ini dikenal sebagai pusat penyebaran Islam di pesisir utara Jawa. Berbeda dengan masjid yang lainnya, Masjid Astana Sultan Hadlirin sendiri menyimpan banyak Sejarah dan memiliki arsitektur yang mencerminkan akulturasi budaya Hindu Budha, Jawa (Islam) dan Tionghoa yang dapat dilihat dari arsitekturnya yang berbentuk atap tumpang dan banyak ukiran-ukiran yang berada pada dinding masjid. Selain sebagai tempat ibadah, kompleks masjid ini juga berfungsi sebagai makam Sultan Hadlirin, suami Ratu Kalinyamat sendiri, yang menjadikannya sangat penting dalam Sejarah dan budaya local.Kata kunci: Masjid Mantingan, Akulturasi Budaya, Sejarah.

Abstract

This study examines the Jamasan Kendeng ritual in Central Java as a unique model of organic religious moderation emerging from local wisdom and environmental praxis. This research is qualitative with a type of ethnography. The research data is in the form of the Jamasan Kendeng ritual carried out by the community in the Kendeng Mountains. Data collection techniques were done through in-depth observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses with interactive model; 1) data reduction based on three theoretical frameworks (religious moderation – environmental conservation – cultural transmission); 2) a 3-dimensional integrative matrix (religious values – ecology – generation); verification with thematic and narrative analysis to construct meaning across generations. The research reveals how this ritual syncretizes Islamic values with indigenous Javanese traditions to foster interfaith tolerance (evidenced by 7.3% non-Muslim participation) and ecological conservation, demonstrated by a 46.7% increase in water discharge and successful resistance against extractive industries. While facing a crisis in traditional leadership succession, the ritual demonstrates remarkable adaptability through youth-driven digital hybridization, including e-sesaji (digital offerings) and environmental apps, with 86% of young respondents supporting its conservation ethos while reinterpreting its sacred meanings. The study concludes that Jamasan Kendeng embodies "ecological religious moderation", a grounded framework where moderation evolves from community-based environmental struggles rather than top-down doctrinal approaches, offering valuable insights for sustainable development and religious harmony in the Global South.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji makna spiritual dan nilai budaya dalam ajaran Sunan Prawoto yang telah mewarnai kehidupan masyarakat Jawa. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan kajian pustaka untuk mengungkap integrasi nilai keislaman dengan kearifan lokal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ajaran Sunan Prawoto tidak hanya memperkuat keimanan individu melalui nilai-nilai seperti keikhlasan, ketabahan, dan kesabaran. Akan tetapi juga membangun identitas budaya melalui penerapan prinsip gotong royong, musyawarah, dan toleransi. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa harmoni antara nilai spiritual dan budaya menjadi pondasi penting bagi terwujudnya kehidupan sosial yang harmonis, terutama di tengah tantangan modernisasi dan globalisasi. Implikasi dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat mendukung upaya pelestarian warisan budaya serta penguatan karakter dan identitas masyarakat Jawa.

Abstract

Ecopedagogy is an approach in education that emphasizes environmental awareness. True education must promote sustainable development through inculcating the character of students who care about the natural and social environment. This study aims to explore the existence of ecopedagogy in education through social studies learning based on local wisdom which has been taking place for junior high school students in Kudus. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative through interviews with a number of social studies teachers and students at junior high schools in Kudus who were randomly selected. The results of the study found that social studies learning at junior high schools in Kudus taught several local wisdoms such as wiwit kopi, rebo wekasan, jenang tebokan, and sego jangkrik which are loaded with the meaning of environmental awareness according to the concept of ecopedagogy. Local traditions and culture in Kudus are not just ritualization, but the meaning contained in these traditions teaches students to respect the universe so that balance will continue. The concept of ecopedagogy in education needs to be raised, one of which is social studies learning based on local wisdom. So that sustainable development will continue to be inherited properly.
