Abstract

Materialized Query Table (MQT) stores data from frequently used queries so that users can get data without having to re-compute. This can improve system performance by reducing the cost of queries. The data in the MQT must be updated periodically it will not become obsolete when some change being made in the parent table. There are 2 (two) kinds of commonly used update mechanisms, namely full refresh and incremental refresh. Full refresh recompiles all data from the parent table. While incremental refresh only process data that being changed by utilizing staging table. The staging table stores the data changes (delta) in the parent table so that incremental refresh can be performed. This study simulates and compares the performance of full refresh with incremental refresh to know the impact of both of the query execution time and resource usage (I/O and CPU). The data used are original data derived from previous research and dummy data generated by system to support this research. Test results show that incremental refresh increases performance by more than 10 times at query execution time and increases more than 50 times on resource usage compared to full refresh.

Abstract

Mahkota Mitra Sentosa is a service company that runs in land transportation especially tour bus. On the payroll process for driver, assistant, and the final report of the calculation is still using conventional method. This causes an issue of time inefficiency in the process. In the calculation process, sometime it is needed to recalculate to make sure that the previous calculation is correct. The problems exist need a solution which is developing an information system. This study explains how to develop an information system needed by Pt. Mahkota Mitra Sentosa to resolve the existing problems by using system development method which is Rational Unified System. The method is an object-based development system by several steps which are: inception, elaboration, construction, and transition. This method is used because it can do the process iteratively to accommodate the change of need. The result of this study is a web-based information system. The developed information system is tested by using black-box testing generated valid values in all test cases. Compatibility testing is used to test non-functional requirements with the results of several minor issues. User Acceptance Testing generated a final value of 87.2%. In the end, it can be deduced that the information system has been built properly and in accordance with the needs. Finally, it is concluded that the information system has been well-developed and corresponded the need.

Abstract

Narcotics National Agency (BNN Kota Malang) is government vertical agencies whose have role in prevention, eradication of Illicit Drug Abuse is doing their job under the responsibility of the local Government of Malang City. the Rehabilitation Section's duty is recovering drug users, Rehabilitation Section storing data using paper forms. The problem is that a growing number of patient data, which stored with the conventional ways so the data search becomes longer and reduce the productivity of the employees so that the maintenance of the data becomes more complex and increase the risk of losing the physical data Information systems proven can reduce the time thus increasing productivity and effectiveness. The success of information system development depends on proper development method, the stakeholder's needs are unclear yet and the system should be able to adapt to the needs of the organization while developed are the reason we use a strategy of Incremental Iteration. This research will report the implementation of the strategy as well as other important roles, among others is the proper requirements analysis, design and the appropriate testing methods which can be measured with the real problems which result 10 functional requirements and 2 nonfunctional requirements in requirement analysis, 10 class (analysis), 9 table, 4 model, and 6 controller in design phase, 3 test case succeed in testing phase.

Abstract

There are some problems that had been found in the current information system canteen Faculty of Computer Science (Filkom). These problems can affect customer's satisfaction, for instance the business process of food order takes a long time and the sellers are confused while delivering the order. Hence there is a need for developing a system which can overcome these problems. This study uses modules on the operational Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Sales force automation (SFA) and Service Automation (SA). Rational Unified Process (RUP) is a framework which will be used for developing the information system which has iterative and incremental techniques. RUP method has several phases, the first phase is inception phase, then elaboration phase, construction phase and ending with transition phase. The implementation of the system is mobile device-based with android platform and firebase as the database server. The results of black-box testing with 47 test-cases were succeeded, compatibility testing with 12 different devices using Test Lab was successfully executed and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) shows that the value of acceptance from the buyer is 85,92% and 82,86% on the side of the FILKOM canteen and time testing showed that the business process to-be faster 4 minutes 30 seconds than the as-is business process. From he results of these tests by implementing this information system can facilitate and speed up the order and sales of the FILKOM canteen.

Abstract

The logistics management department is part of the administration section of the Malang City UTD PMI. In UTD PMI Malang City there are sections that are formed to help achieve organizational goals. In the implementation of medical logistics, there are 5 main business processes, namely the receipt of medical logistics goods, purchase of medical logistics goods> Rp. 5,000,000, purchase of medical logistics goods <Rp. 5,000,000, delivery of medical logistics items (for internal), and delivery of goods medical logistics (for external). The implementation of business processes in this section is still often a constraint, namely the execution of time that has exceeded a predetermined time. This study uses a five whys analysis method to determine the root causes of each business process. The results of the analysis in general, the root of the problem is about recording documents that are still using paper which can cause an increase in the organization's expenditure to buy paper and the risk of being lost. Based on the results of the evaluation carried out treatment by using streamlining tools provided by Business Process Improvement (BPI) to make business process recommendations. From the results of the business process recommendations made then a simulation is conducted to see the improvement of each business process. on the business process of delivering medical logistics (for external) goods by 1 hour 41 minutes with a percentage increase of 24.9%.

Abstract

Business Operation Service Unit & Maintenance Outside Java - 2 (UJLJ-2) is one of the unit in PT PJB Surabaya which has the tasks of doing the procurement process of goods or services in providing electrical infrastructure proposed by a special power plant unit outside of Java which has been approved by PT PLN. But in performing these tasks there are some obstacles such as data collection procurement that has not been integrated between divisions, monitoring data procurement by managers that must meet the employees who brought the data first and units from outside Java to know the progres conditions of their procurement being handled by UJLJ-2, they still ask by calling UJLJ-2 by phone first. Therefore, the information system is needed to handle the problem. The integrated procurement data collection process between divisions, data monitoring and procurement progress can be simplified by using the Procurement Monitoring Information System (SIMOP) built with Rational Unifed Process (RUP) method that is done in the inception, elaboration, construction and transition phases. Testing the system is done with blackbox validation testing with 5 test cases to test the functional requirements of the system with 100% results Valid and compability testing to test the non-functional requirements obtained 2 critical issues results. UAT testing is used to detect the user acceptance towards the system which has been built and get the value accaptance of 96.6% for the actor manager, 80% for actor staff of unit outside Java island , 88.3% for actor staff of planner division , 73.30% for actor staff of producer , and 70% for for actor staff of administration division.

Abstract

CV. Chiara Muslimah is one of the Muslim fashion distributors in the city of Mojokerto. CV. Chiara Muslimah has become a distributor of many well-known brands, Seply, Elif, Ethica and others. Besides that, CV. Chiara Muslimah also has many members spread across various cities. Based on interviews, 83% of employees who work every day have the task of managing WhatsApp messaging group communications respectively. As well as employees can only serve customer requests only during business hours, as a result customer questions are not answered and orders are not received. Based on these problems, a solution can be given, namely an information distribution system. The method used in development is the Rational Unified Process, the method was chosen because there is an analysis of business processes in one phase and complete in the documentation. The results of this study produced 13 sequence diagrams, 2 class diagrams, and 1 physical data model. From the results of testing the black box the results are 100% valid. Based on UAT testing which contained 18 questionnaires, it was obtained an examination of 86.51%. And a comparison of the business process of question and answer as much as 5 minutes and accelerate business processes as much as 8 minutes 27 seconds.

Abstract

PLN (Persero) East Java distribution Gresik area was a company located in an industrial area, offering services to customers where most of the customers were business and industrial customers who had a medium voltage which is 100-200 kVA is called getting electricity customers. But there were still some obstacles in serving new electrical connections, which was the Customer Service Division must ask each division in charge to know the progress of the electricity installation process. To answer this problem, business process modeling, requirements analysis, design and implementation were carried out by applying an object-oriented approach in the New Electricity Installation Information System. After that, the results of the system implementation were tested to find out if the system could run according to the requirements that had been identified. Business process modeling produced As-Is business process models and To-Be business processes, requirements analysis with 28 functional requirements and 1 non-functional requirement, as well as visualizing the system's capabilities in a use case diagram. The results of the system design were models of object interactions in sequence diagrams, object models in class diagrams, database design, algorithm design, and interface design. The result of the implementation was a web-based New Electricity Installation Information System tested with 3 blackbox tests, which were browser compatibility testing, display responitivity testing, and validation testing.

Abstract

Quest Travel Indonesia is a travel agency company in Indonesia for French tourists. During the operational practices, problems arise when recording tour program bookings which is recapitulated become roadbook report. The operational process that takes days and often occurs of human error. Besides that, the problems on the process of monitoring tour that rely communication by phone and documentation of monitoring are not really definite. Based on these problems, a roadbook information system web-based using the RUP (Rational Unified Process) to help fix the company's business process. By implementing the RUP, the problem solving process can be done well because the iteration process repeats on the stages from the beginning to the end of the system development that could minimize errors in the system while being developed. The result of this study is a roadbook information system tour travel program web-based that has 34 features consisting of 79 functional and 3 non functional requirement. This system passes 3 tests with the black-box testing method that produces valid values ​​on all test items, compatibility testing which results in a number of major and minor issues on several browser, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) which get final score of 93.3% or strongly agree. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that the roadbook information system for tour travel programs can improve and support business processes including ease in managing order data recording, monitoring tour travel, and making roadbook reports.

Abstract

Tazkia International Islamic Boarding School (IIBS) is a religious-based non-formal school that implement a boarding system. The student report making process at Tazkia IIBS is done using a module called the teacher kit that used by the teacher to record their student's academic scores. Academic scores that have been recorded into the teacher kit must be reported to academic section every three months to get verified. At the end of the semester, the scores will calculated and assessed by the teacher to create the student report cards. All this processes considered to be less efficient because it requires a long time and a long stage to create a student report card. With these problem, a solution is needed, one of which is by developing a Student Academic Information System. In this research, it was explained the developing process of Student Academic Information System on Tazkia IIBS, that aimed to dealing with the student report cards making process issue. The development of this information system is using the Rational Unified Process (RUP) method. RUP method is an object-based system development method consisting of four stages, namely inception, elaboration, construction, and transition. This method was chosen because it is able to carry out an iterative development process and allows to handle the requirement changing. The system which has been developed, is tested using validation testing with valid result on all test cases, as well as compatibility tasting was performed to tests the non-functional requirement of the system with some minor issue in several web browsers. The user acceptance testing generated acceptance rate of 67% which indicate that the system has been built properly.
