Abstract

[Title: Chitosan/PVA Composite Nanofiber Biocompatibility Test as a Wound Wrap]. This study aims to make chitosan-based nanofiber from NTB local crab shells. The manufacture of nonofiber is intended for application in the medical world as wound dressing. Wound dressing was developed from the basic ingredients of chitosan from NTB local crab shells. This research was conducted using the electrospining method, namely by making fibers from nano-sized chitosan. The resulting wound dressing was analyzed using FTIR. The results of this analysis show that chitosan has an area of absorption or transmittance in some chitosan groups so that it shows a positive alloy on chitosan and PVA as antibacterial in wound dressing.

Abstract

This research aimed to know there is or no effect of scientific approach toward student’s motivation and learning achievement. The kind of this research was experimental research. Design of this research used pretest and posttest one group design, with population was all students of XI IPA at SMAN 1 Kopang. Sample of this research consist of two classes that is class XI IPA 1 as experimental group and class XI IPA 2 as control group which used random sampling tachnique. Mean of pretest was 23,21 in experimental group and 30,15 in control group. Mean of posttest was 74,74 in experimental group and 57,68 in control group. Percentage of student’s learning motivation was increased 59,85% (low) in experimental group and 64,65% (quite) became 82,40% (high) in experimental  group and 76, 56% (quite) in control group. The data of homogenity and normality was homogen and normal distribution. The data analysis used t-test. The result of t-test was 3,89 for motivation and 5,47 for learning achievement and t-table was 1,99 in 5% level of significant with t-test > t-table. This research showed that there is effect of scientific approach toward student’s motivation and learnig achievement at eleventh year students of SMAN 1 Kopang.

Abstract

This study is a research on water hyacinth-based briquettes which shows the calorific value of each form of briquettes. The purpose of this study was to analyze the quality of water hyacinth briquettes with variations in pressure and pellet geometry. The quality analyzed includes moisture content and calorific value. The method of making briquettes starts from charcoal, pounding, then mixing with tapioca starch adhesive. The composition of the mixture used is 90% water hyacinth charcoal with 10% tapioca starch adhesive. 4 geometric variations are used, namely, solid box, hollow box, solid tube and hollow tube with 3 pressure variations, namely, 10 PSI, 20 PSI and 30 PSI. Test results and analysis,briquettes at a pressure of 20 PSI produces a calorific value range of 91.15 - 150.14 cal / gram. The resulting calorific value is higher than the briquettes at a pressure of 10 PSI and 30 PSI with a heating value range of 93.84 - 148.79 cal / gram and 89.81 - 135.39 cal / gram. Hollow briquettes produce a calorific value range of 107.24 - 150.14 cal / gram higher than solid geometric briquettes which produce a heating value range of 89.81 - 148.79 cal / gram. So that the contribution of the results of this research is that the community makes briquettes with shape and pressure with good results shown in this study.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jenis dan persentase bahan perekat yang digunakan, terhadap nilai kalor dan laju pembakaran biobriket kulit durian. Bahan utama yang digunakan dalam pembuatan biobriket yaitu kulit durian. Bahan perekat yang digunakan adalah tepung tapioka, tepung beras, dan semen dengan persentase masing-masing 10%, 15%, dan 20%. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan kajian literatur yang dilakukan dalam tiga tahap yaitu preparasi bahan, pembuatan biobriket, dan pengujian biobriket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai kalor biobriket berkisar antara 2509,50 cal – 5771,85 cal dan laju pembakaran berkisar 1,80 gr/menit–2,62 gr/menit. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian diketahui bahwa penambahan bahan perekat menyebabkan laju pembakaran biobriket cenderung meningkat namun nilai kalor cenderung menurun.Effect of Type and Percentage of Durian Peel-Based Biobriquette Adhesives on Calorific Value and Combustion RateAbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of the type and percentage of adhesive used on the heating value and combustion rate of durian peels bio briquettes. The main ingredients used in making bribriquettes are durian peels. The adhesives used are tapioca flour, rice flour, and cement with each percentage of 10%, 15%, and 20%. This research is an experimental study with a literature review conducted in three stages, namely materials preparation, making bio briquettes, and testing briquettes. The results showed that the bio briquettes heating value ranged from 2509.50 cal – 5771.85 cal and the combustion rate 1.80 g/m – 2.62 g/m. Based on the test results that the addition of adhesive caused the combustion rate of the bio briquette to increase but the heating value tended to decrease.

Abstract

[Title: The Effect of Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving Learning Model Toward Student Physics Science Learning Outcomes]. This study aims to test mechanical on membrane composite membrane based crab shell and poly vinly Acetat (PVA). A mechanical test was performed to test the young modulus of the membrane in maintaining pore size using the "Tensilon" machine. The results show that chitosan / Poly Vinly Acetate composite membrane with preparation of comparison 25% -75%, 50% -50% and 75% -25%. For sample 25% -75% experience drying process faster than other sample. On the mechanical test of chitosan membrane / Poly Vinly Acetat showed the biggest value that is equal to 9.84 Mpa on comparison preparation 50% -50%. 25% -75% and 75% -25% preparations decreased by 4.68 MPa and 1.37Mpa.

Abstract

Beberapa literatur dan penelitian terdahulu menyatakan bahwa masih ada kelemahan dalam menggunakan matematika di kelas sains. Pada saat mahasiswa mengalami kegagalan dalam memecahkan masalah fisika yang melibatkan keterampilan matematika, seringkali kita dihadapkan pada pertanyaan apakah kegagalan tersebut disebabkan karena lemahnya kemampuan matematika dasar atau kurangnya penguasaan konsep fisika itu sendiri. Penelitian ini merupakan suatu deskriptif kuantitatif yang melibatkan mahasiswa tingkat satu yang melaksanakan perkuliahan matematika dasar dan fisika umum. Kemampuan matematika dasar mahasiswa dianalisis menurut tiga aspek penilaian; mathematical-procedural skils, conceptual understanding, dan algorithmic problem-solving. Tes pilihan ganda digunakan sebagai alat pengumpul data primer, sedangkan lembar jawaban tertulis digunakan untuk mendapatkan deksripsi seperti apa argumentasi mahasiswa dan bagaimana cara mereka memecahkan masalah. Skor tes dianalisis menggunakan metode statistik deskriptif untuk membandingkan kemampuan mahasiswa pada tiga aspek tersebut. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memiliki kemampuan yang lebih baik pada mathematical-procedural skils dan algorithmic problem-solving dibandingkan pada conceptual understanding.

Abstract

Abstract One of the requirements that must be done in developing a textbook is a readability test. Readability is all the elements in the textbook that affect the success of the reader in understanding the material he reads at an optimal reading speed. The readability test aims to determine whether the use of sentences/language, presentation of material, layout, and interaction between texts in textbooks can be used by students to understand the materials in it. It is important to do a readability test to minimize errors that can cause misunderstandings between the author's intent and the reader's understanding. The readability test in this study was carried out through a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 15 students of the physics education study program who were taking basic mathematics courses. The results showed that the level of readability of basic mathematics textbooks for physics was at high criteria in the aspect of convenience (67.5%), attractiveness (65.5%), and understanding (67.5%). Although the readability test showed a high score, there are several things that still need to be improved, namely the appearance of the textbook (book cover and illustrations) and the writing style that must be made more varied and able to attract the interest of the reader. Abstrak Salah satu persyaratan yang harus dilakukan dalam pengembangan suatu buku ajar adalah uji keterbacaan. Keterbacaan adalah seluruh unsur yang ada dalam buku ajar yang berpengaruh terhadap keberhasilan pembaca dalam memahami materi yang dibacanya pada kecepatan membaca yang optimal. Uji keterbacaan bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan kalimat/bahasa, penyajian materi, tata letak dan interaksi antarteks dalam buku ajar dapat digunakan mahasiswa untuk memahami materi-materi yang ada di dalamnya. Uji keterbacaan penting dilakukan untuk meminimalisasi kesalahan yang dapat menyebabkan kesalahpahaman antara maksud penulis dengan pemahaman pembaca. Uji keterbacaan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui metode survei dengan membagikan kuesioner kepada 15 mahasiswa program studi pendidikan fisika yang sedang menempuh mata kuliah matematika dasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat keterbacaan buku ajar matematika dasar untuk fisika berada pada kriteria tinggi pada aspek kemudahan (67,5%), aspek kemenarikan (65,5%) dan aspek keterpahaman (67,5%). Walaupun uji keterbacaan menunjukkan nilai yang tinggi, namun ada beberapa hal yang masih perlu ditingkatkan lagi kualitasnya yaitu tampilan buku ajar (cover dan ilustrasi) dan gaya tulisan yang harus dibuat lebih variatif dan mampu menarik minat pembaca.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitaf bahan biobriket buah nyamplung terhadap laju pembakaran dan nilai kalor. Proses pembuatan biobriket menggunakan alat tekan manual yang dibuat dengan besi plat, bahan yang digunakan ialah buah nyamplung dan tepung tapioka. Densitas biobriket dihasilkan berkisaran 0,96 g/cm3 – 1,8 g/cm3, densitas terendah didapat pada biobriket dengan perbandingan arang kulit buah nyamplung 90% dan perekat tepung tapioka 10%. Sedangkan densitas tertinggi didapat pada biobriket dengan perbandingan 50% arang isi dan 50% arang kulit buah nyamplung. Kadar air yang paling tinggi terdapat pada biobriket dengan campuran arang kulit buah nyamplung 85% dan perekat 15%. Sedangkan kadar air yang paling rendah terdapat pada biobriket dengan campuran 50% arang isi dan 50% arang kulit buah nyamplung. Kadar air yang didapat pada penelitian ini berkisaran 4,16% - 7,14%. Laju pembakaran yang tertinggi terdapat pada biobriket dengan campuran 50% arang isi dan 50% arang kulit buah nyamplung. Hasil laju pembakaran berkisaran 1,66 g/menit – 8,28 g/menit. Nilai kalor yang tertinggi terdapat pada biobriket dengan campuran 50% arang isi dan 50% arang kulit buah nyampung. Sedangkan nilai kalor yang terendah terdapat pada biobriket dengan campuran 90% arang kulit buah nyamplung dan 10% perekat. Nilai kalor yang dihasilkan berkisaran 2309,88 kalori – 14253,96 kalori. Dari hasil penelitian dapat dilihat bawha laju pembakaran dan nilai kalor yang tertinggi terapat pada biobriket campuran 50% arang isi dan 50% arang kulit buah nyamplung. Kata kunci: biobriket; buah nyamplung; laju pembakaran; nilai kalor ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the effectiveness of nyamplung fruit biobriquette on burning rate and calorific value. While the lowest water content was found in biobriquettes with a mixture of 50% filled charcoal and 50% nyamplung fruit shell charcoal. The water content obtained in this study ranged from 4.16% - 7.14%. The highest burning rate was found in biobriquettes with a mixture of 50% filled charcoal and 50% nyamplung fruit skin charcoal. The resulting combustion rate ranges from 1.66 g/minute – 8.28 g/minute. The highest calorific value was found in biobriquettes with a mixture of 50% filled charcoal and 50% nyampang fruit skin charcoal. Meanwhile, the lowest calorific value was found in biobriquettes with a mixture of 90% nyamplung fruit peel charcoal and 10% adhesive. The resulting caloric value ranges from 2309.88 calories to 14253.96 calories. From the results of the study it can be seen that the highest burning rate and calorific value were found in biobriquettes mixed with 50% filled charcoal and 50% nyamplung fruit shell charcoal. Keyword: biobriquettes; nyamplung fruit; burning rate; calorific value
