Abstract

This study aims to explore the ethnomatematics contained in Batik Paoman Indramayu and apply it to the learning of geometry field in elementary school. This research is a qualitative research with ethnography approach, where the data collection technique is done by library study, observation, interview, field note, and documentation. Interviews were conducted on two batik entrepreneurs and an embroidered entrepreneur. Based on the results of research data collection obtained 7 namely Parang Teja, Obar Abir, Biskuit Sawat, Serujing, Matahari, Siled and Banji Tepak. The concept of elementary geometry in the primary school that is on the paoman batik motif is the concept of point, straight line, curve line, zigzag line, line height, parallel line, angle, triangle, rectangle, fold symmetry, rhombus.Paoman batik motif that has the concept of geometry for elementary school, of course can be used in the pursuit of geometry fields such as on line recognition, angle recognition, and simple flat wake recognition.

Abstract

The present study aims at uncovering Mathematical Concept Understanding Ability in solving the problem of 3D Geometry from the perspective of both cognitive styles dependent and independent field. As the instrument, this study adopts Group Embedded Figure Test, Observation worksheet, test, interview, and documentation. In dealing with data analysis, it relies on qualitative analysis consisting data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Based on the investigation, it could be inferred that the students with cognitive dependent field could solve the problem with 3D Geometry; however, they still need some improvements to realize a proper way in using such method. On the other hand, the students with cognitive independent field, they could correctly operationalize the 3D Geometry concept to solve the same problem. In addition, this study also recommends that to minimize the problem above, the teacher is supposed to give proportional distribution in implementing either individual or group task.

Abstract

Kenyataan menunjukkan bahwa tidak sedikit jumlah guru yang kandas dalam mengurus kenaikan pangkat/golongan mereka. Penyebabnya adalah keterbatasan keterampilan dan pengalaman guru dalam menulis serta publikasi karya ilmiah. Karena itu, dipandang perlu dilakukannya sosialisasi untuk membekali pemahaman guru-guru di Kecamatan Amanuban Tengah tentang penulisan dan publikasi karya ilmiah. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini dilakukan selama 1 hari bertempat di Aula SMP St. Aloysius Niki-Niki. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah dan diskusi. Dampak dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah peserta dapat memahami konsep dan sistematika PTK, karakteristik masalah-masalah PTK, trik mencari referensi artikel ilmiah yang berkualitas dan cara menggunakan aplikasi mendeley, serta konsep dan sistematika artikel ilmiah dan trik mencari jurnal sasaran publikasi. Direkomendasikan agar kegiatan serupa pada kesempatan lain, tidak sebatas sosialisasi, tetapi dilakukan tindak lanjut berupa pelatihan/workshop atau pendampingan lanjutan tentang pembuatan proposal PTK, pelaksanaan PTK di sekolah, penyusunan laporan PTK, hingga pendampingan menulis dan publikasi artikel ilmiah.

Abstract

Smartphones nowadays have become a basic need for everyone because they provide many benefits and conveniences for users. People always want to have a smartphone with good quality. However, due to the lack of information along with the many types of smartphones in circulation, it often makes it difficult for users to choose a smartphone that suits their needs. To overcome these problems, it is necessary to have a method that can provide recommendations for appropriate decision-making for users. This study aims to apply the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method and sensitivity analysis in determining the priority order of smartphone selection by comparing one smartphone to another. The criteria for consideration are Facilities, Price, Battery, and RAM with alternative choices in the form of Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo brand smartphones. Data collection in this study was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 100 students of the Mathematics Study Program. The data were processed using the AHP method and sensitivity analysis. AHP is used to produce a more consistent ranking order of each alternative, while the sensitivity test is carried out to measure the stability of the calculation results if there is a change in decision-making. From the results of the analysis with AHP, it was found that Xiaomi was the first priority of the respondent's choice, followed by Vivo, and the last priority was Oppo with an inconsistency level of 0.02. Meanwhile, sensitivity testing shows that RAM is the most influential criterion for changing the order of alternative priorities, where Xiaomi remains the first priority, followed by Oppo, and Vivo is the last priority.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan mendeskripsikan kevalidan dan kepraktisan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dalam membelajarkan materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model 4D, meliputi define, design, develop, dessiminate. Namun pada penelitian ini peneliti hanya melakukan penelitian sampai pada tahap develop. Untuk mengetahui kevalidan LKS yang dikembangkan dilakukan uji validitas oleh 2 orang ahli materi dan 2 orang ahli media, serta uji kepraktisan yang dilakukan oleh 10 orang siswa SMKS Katolik Kefamenanu dan satu orang guru matematika. Hasil uji validitas oleh ahli materi dan ahli media diperoleh persentase 93,85% dan 92,64% dengan kategori sangat valid. Sedangkan hasil uji kepraktisan terhadap 10 orang siswa dan satu orang guru mata pelajaran matematika diperoleh persentase 94,22% dan 93,33% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa karakteristik dari LKS ini yang disesuaikan dengan pendekatan pendidikan matematika realistik untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan memecahkan masalah, dan dinyatakan sangat valid dan praktis untuk digunakan.

Abstract

Many studies related to the use of Augmented Reality (AR) in the learning process. However, not many researchers have studied the effect of using AR on affective and cognitive aspects in terms of education level. To uncover this problem, the researcher uses a systematic literature review (SLR) design. In this study, the SLR stage consisted of four stages (1) problem formulation; (2) literature search; (3) identification of the type of research; (4) information retrieval. The findings of this study reveal that the use of AR technology has an effect on cognitive and affective aspects at the elementary and high school education levels. Middle school is the level of education that mostly applies AR technology. This study provides a recommendation that AR technology can be a medium for learning mathematics that can be applied by teachers and students at the primary and secondary education levels.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil kemampuan literasi matematis siswa kelas VII SMP dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal ekspresi aljabar. Metode penelitian ini termasuk penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Pada penelitian ini data yang terkumpul berbentuk kata-kata sehingga tidak menekankan pada angka. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada salah satu SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Belu, pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII D yang berjumlah 26 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa siswa dengan kemampuan literasi matematis tinggi sudah mampu mencapai keseluruhan indikator kemampuan literasi matematis yaitu indikator pemahaman, penerapan, penalaran dan komunikasi. Walaupun dalam proses penyelesaiannya ada beberapa kesalahan penulisan. Siswa yang memiliki kemampuan literasi matematis sedang mampu memahami indikator pemahaman dan penerapan, namun masih tetap melakukan kesalahan-kesalahan teknis pada indikator tertentu yaitu penalaran dan komunikasi. Sedangkan siswa dengan kemampuan literasi matematis rendah hanya mampu memahami kemampuan literasi matematis pada indikator pemahaman.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe profile of middle school students' mathematical literacy ability in Solving Number Pattern Problems. This study used a descriptive case study design with 29 students in grade VIII at a middle school in Kefamenanu city, Indonesia. Test and interviews were the methods to collect data about the mathematical literacy ability. To analysis data we used the Miles and Huberman models with stages namely reduction data, data presentation and conclusions as a technique. The results of the study concluded that the profile of middle school students' mathematical literacy ability in solving number pattern problems is in the high category. Students with high mathematical literacy abilities meet all indicators at 3 levels of mathematics literacy cognitive namely understanding level, implementation level and level reasoning. Students with medium mathematical literacy abilities were able to achieve indicators of the level of understanding, while for the level of application and reasoning not all indicators were achieved. Students with low mathematical literacy abilities are only able to reach the level of understanding indicators, while the level of application and level of reasoning has not been achieved.

Abstract

Writing and carrying out the process of publishing scientific papers for teachers is not an easy job. Therefore, this community service activity is carried out to equip teachers with an understanding of the systematics of an article, tricks for finding quality references, the use of grammar in writing scientific papers, strategies to avoid plagiarism traps, the style of journal templates, and the process of submitting articles. The methods of this community service are lectures and discussions. This activity was carried out online for 3 days, with 163 participants. Through the methods of activity above, participants can add insight into writing and submitting scientific articles, but participants have not yet produced scientific articles. Therefore, it is recommended that similar activities in the next period focus more on assisting participants to write articles, as well as assisting in the submission process and revision to the publication of articles in journals.

Abstract

Resiliensi matematis dapat membantu siswa untuk memecahkan masalah matematis. Siswa yang memiliki keterampilan resiliensi matematis tinggi akan mampu memecahkan masalah matematika. Karena itu, dilakukan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh resiliensi matematis terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa sekolah menengah pertama. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif, dengan metode penelitian ex-post facto. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII pada salah satu sekolah menengah pertama di Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara. Semua populasi dijadikan sampel penelitian yang berjumlah 50 siswa. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah soal tes untuk mengukur kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika, dan angket untuk mengukur resiliensi matematis siswa. Analisis data menggunakan statistik parametrik berupa uji regresi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh resiliensi matematis terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa, dengan besar pengaruhnya adalah 85%, dan persamaan regresinya adalah . Direkomendasikan kepada guru matematika agar memfasilitasi resiliensi matematis siswa sehingga dapat memecahkan masalah matematika yang dihadapi.
