Abstract

This study aims to explore the concept of miasma and the spiritual implications of earthquakes as depicted in the Naskah Cerita Gempa (The Story of Earthquake) manuscript found in Ambon, “The Story of Earthquake” is a manuscript from the collection of Husain Hatuwe. It is cataloged in both the Ambon Manuscript Catalog and the Religious Catalog of the Makassar Research and Development Center, under the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. The manuscript has been digitized through a collaborative effort between the Pernaskahan Nusantara Foundation and the Faculty of Cultural Sciences at the University of Indonesia, in partnership with the Endangered Archives Programme (EAP) of the British Library. The digitized version of “The Story of Earthquake” manuscript can be accessed online via the EAP British Library’s website using the code EAP276/7/10. This study employs a textual analysis adopting Han-Liang Chang’s disaster semiotics methodology which categorizes disasters into three phases: natural events, interpretations and effects. The findings of this study reveal that natural events, in the form of weather changes associated with miasma, have a significant impact on all forms of life, including animals, plants and humans. These changes lead to damage and death, prompting individuals to seek protection. This research underscores the profound spiritual and physical effects of natural disasters as interpreted through the lens of the Naskah Cerita Gempa manuscript.

Abstract

Tanggung jawab humas di dinas pendidikan Gresik sangat penting dalam memastikan pelayanan yang efektif dan efisien kepada masyarakat, terutama dalam konteks pendidikan. Tulisan ini membahas peran Humas dalam membangun citra positif, menyediakan informasi yang jelas dan akurat, serta memfasilitasi komunikasi antara pihak dinas dengan masyarakat luar. Penekanan juga diberikan pada pentingnya transparansi, responsibilitas, dan keterbukaan dalam menjalankan tugas-tugasnya. Dengan menjalankan tanggung jawab ini dengan baik, Humas dapat memperkuat hubungan antara dinas pendidikan dan masyarakat, serta meningkatkan kepercayaan dan kepuasan publik terhadap layanan yang diberikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui responsibilitas humas dalam pemberian pelayanan di Dinas Pendidikan kabupaten Gresik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan analisis terhadap landasan teori. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Gresik dengan menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, pengisian kuesioner, dan dokumentasi sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah jenis media yang digunakan saat ini dalam kegiatan humas di Dinas Pendidikan kabupaten Gresik terdiri dari Gresik AKAS 112, Instagram dan SPAN LAPOR.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas pengaruh pemberian penghargaan "Best Employee of the Month" terhadap kinerja pegawai di Balai Latihan Kerja (BLK) Surabaya. BLK Surabaya, sebagai lembaga pemerintah yang fokus pada pengembangan keterampilan tenaga kerja, menghadapi tantangan signifikan dalam menjaga dan meningkatkan kinerja pegawainya. Penghargaan "Best Employee of the Month" diterapkan sebagai strategi untuk memotivasi pegawai, dengan harapan dapat memperbaiki kinerja individu dan tim secara keseluruhan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis pengaruh pemberian penghargaan "Best Employee of the Month" terhadap kinerja pegawai di Balai Latihan Kerja (BLK) Surabaya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian dengan pendekatan survey melalui observasi, wawancara, pembagian kuesioner dan studi dokumentasi. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier sederhana. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah sebagian pegawai Balai Latihan Kerja (BLK) Surabaya berjumlah 20 pegawai. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa adanya pengaruh adanya Best Employee of the Month terhadap kinerja karyawan pada Balai Latihan Kerja (BLK) Surabaya. Besarnya pengaruh reward terhadap kinerja karyawan pada BLK  yaitu sebesar 71,7% dan sisanya sebesar 28,3% dapat dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain. Secara parsial hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Variabel Best Employee memiliki nilai p-value (pada kolom Sig.) 0,00  < 0,05 artinya signifikan, sedangkan t hitung 45,569 > dari t tabel 4,414 artinya signifikan. Hal ini berarti bahwa pemberian penghargaan "Best Employee of the Month" berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai di Balai Latihan Kerja (BLK) Surabaya.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of academic supervision, school culture and leadership on teacher performance at MIN 1 Gresik and SDI Al Muttaqin Driyorejo Gresik. Teacher performance is a key factor in achieving quality education goals, and is influenced by various external elements. The research method used was a quantitative approach by collecting data through questionnaires from 55 respondents. The results of the research show that academic supervision has a significant effect on teacher performance (t = 2.999; p = 0.004), school culture has a significant effect on teacher performance (t = 5.714; p = 0.000), principal leadership plays an important role in improving teacher performance (t = 5.773; p = 0.000). An R Square value of 0.900 means that 90% of the variation in Teacher Performance can be explained by these three variables, while the remaining 10% is influenced by other factors. This shows that effective academic supervision, positive school culture, and good leadership contribute significantly to improving teacher performance. This research also provides recommendations for schools to strengthen academic supervision and create an inclusive and collaborative school culture. Thus, it is hoped that the research results can become a reference in improving the quality of education at the two institutions.

Abstract

Tulisan ini akan mengeksplorasi empat hal penting yang berhubungan dengan ekspresi keberagamaan di Indonesia, khususnya di era – yang sebagian kalangan menyebutnya – revolusi industri 4.0 (the fourth industrial). Sebuah era, yang salah satu fiturnya ialah, masyarakat terkoneksi secara digital dan sangat bergantung pada akses internet. Empat hal tersebut adalah: pertama, dinamika ekspresi keberagamaan pasca reformasi, sebagai penanda perubahan sikap sosial secara fundamental; dari terkanalisasi ke demokrasi tanpa batas. Kedua, desrupsi ide keberagamaan. Ketiga, cara baru pilihan sikap keberagamaan. Terakhir, dampak dekonstelasi politik keberagamaan dan percaturan ideologis di Indonesia. Secara metodik, pendekatan tulisan ini akan menggunakan paradigma antropologis; agar bisa melihat fenomena sikap yang tampak dan mengejawantah di era kontemporer, serta fenomenologisme sebagai perangkat baca untuk menilai postur kesadaran yang membentuk ekspresi keberagamaan tersebut. Pada kesimpulannya, tulisan ini, tidak ingin menilai atau menganalisis mana ekspresi keagamaan yang paling benar dan salah di era revolusi industri 4.0. Sebalinya, tulisan ini sekedar ingin menggambarkan apa yang terjadi pasca kemajuan tekhnologi ‘memperbaiki’ dan ‘merusak’ nilai-nilai keberagamaan yang dipahami/diekspresikan oleh umat Islam di Indonesia.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of the Pasar Jadoel Establishment initiative, initiated by KKN Uinsa students on the development of local tourism in Penanggal Village, Lumajang. This study aims to examine how Pasar Jadoel can increase the attractiveness of Tirtosari Nature Tourism and attract more visitors, empower local small and medium enterprises (SMEs), identify and overcome challenges faced by Tirtosari Tourism in terms of management and marketing, and propose solutions to increase its potential. This study seeks to demonstrate the role of innovative tourism initiatives in revitalizing the local economy and promoting cultural heritage. Methodology/approach: The methodology used in the study is a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. This approach allows the researchers to analyze the development of local tourism through the establishment of Pasar Jadoel without influencing the subjects being studied. The research focuses on assessing the increase in visitor numbers at Wisata Alam Tirtosari as a result of the Pasar Jadoel initiative. Results/findings: The results of the study indicate that the initiative to establish Pasar Jadoel has had a positive impact on local tourism in Tirtosari Nature Tourism in several ways, one of which is the Increase in the Number of Visitors. There was a significant increase in the number of visitors to Tirtosari Nature Tourism after the establishment of Pasar Jadoel. Visitor data shows that Pasar Jadoel attracted more tourists during its operation. The market also provides a forum for local people to sell their products, which contributes to the economic empowerment of small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the area. This study shows that Pasar Jadoel serves as a viable strategy to increase local tourism and support community development in Penanggal Village, Lumajang. Limitations: This study has several limitations: The study only focuses on the short-term impacts of the Pasar Jadoel initiative, which may not fully capture the long-term impacts on local tourism and economic development. The study uses a descriptive qualitative study, the findings of which may be affected by researcher interpretation and bias, which may affect the objectivity of the results. Contribution: This study contributes to local tourism development through the initiative of establishing Pasar Jadoel. This study shows how the initiative can increase tourism appeal, empower the local economy, and promote cultural heritage. The findings can serve as a model for similar tourism development efforts in other areas, demonstrating the potential for local involvement in revitalizing tourism and supporting community development.

Abstract

This research aims to:(1)describe the management of halal canteens at madrasahs in the Gresik district (2)describe the presence of madrasah canteens in the Gresik district;(3)describe the role that halal canteen management plays in preserving the madrasah canteens' continued existence in the Gresik district. This study employs a descriptive qualitative research methodology. There are two types of data sources:primary and secondary. In this study, documentation, interviews, and observation are the methods used to collect data. The three steps of the Miles Hubermen theory data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing are used in data analysis methodologies. The study's findings indicate: (1)The Gresik task force manages the Halal canteen in phases, including organizing, planning, actuating, and controlling.(2)The existence of madrasah canteens in Gresik Regency is indicated by the number of madrasah canteens in Gresik Regency that have been halal certified, so they are very enthusiastic and comply with government programs for halal certification of their products.(3)In managing halal canteens in order to maintain the existence of madrasah halal canteens in Gresik,collaboration of management principles and halal principles is needed. Management principles as a tool to achieve program goals,while halal principles are used as guidelines in running the madrasah halal canteen.

Abstract

This article explains the process of instilling values, which is carried out by internalizing community teachings through educational units. The internalization of values is achieved by inserting Samin's noble pitutur in PAI and PPKn subjects at elementary, middle and high school levels. The choice of this educational institution indicates that schools have a strategic role in preserving values. This participatory action research was conducted in Dusun, Japan, a hamlet inhabited by the Samin Bojonegoro community. This community adheres to the teachings of its ancestors. However, on the other hand, the openness in this community also allows for a permissive attitude, which has the potential to erode the strength of their traditions. The research was carried out for four months, starting with problem mapping, problem analysis and action involving traditional stakeholders, policy stakeholders and education stakeholders. The choice of action taken is to insert community values through Islamic Religious Education and Character subjects and Pancasila and Citizenship Education subjects. This insertion is a cultural preservation strategy that stakeholders consider to be the right step because, through this institution, children can internalize the noble values that exist around them.

Abstract

This article examines how minority students form and assert their identities in school's public spaces, particularly in interactions with majority groups. This qualitative research uses interviews and documentation studies, focusing on several minority students in schools in East Java. The research results show that the identity of minority students is formed through religious expressions, which include verbal expressions, attitudes of prayer, and greetings on holidays. These three expressions function as a means for minorities to assert their identity among the majority. This research concludes that identity formation depends on significant religious expressions and small actions carried out repeatedly. Therefore, schools need to provide equitable social spaces for minority students, with policies supporting equality and respecting differences in school social life.
