Abstract

Background: Land and building asset management is an important aspect in ensuring the sustainability of good school governance. This community service activity aims to improve the capacity of asset management at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Wates through advocacy, asset certification, training in the use of information systems, and the preparation of sustainable management strategies. Method: The methods used include observation, interviews, document studies, and information technology simulations using the Muhammadiyah Asset Management Information System (SIMAM) application. Result: The results show that the school has a total land asset area of 4,500 m² with varying ownership statuses, namely certified property, uncertified property, and leased property. The existence of assets that have not been certified indicates the need to accelerate legal advocacy. In addition, SIMAM training has succeeded in increasing the understanding of school administrators regarding digital-based asset recording. This activity also produces a structured and sustainability-oriented asset management strategy, including the use of assets for educational activities and school economic development. Conclusion: This activity is expected to be a model for institutional empowerment in other schools with similar characteristics.

Abstract

Democracy is essentially a system in which the people, as the supreme authority, have the right to make all decisions concerning their interests. Democracy recognizes that power originates from the people. This means that the people themselves will indirectly create regulations that benefit and protect their rights. One process of realizing democracy is through elections, which are held to elect representatives and other public officials. In 2024, Indonesia will hold simultaneous elections. Many political figures have been nominated based on public opinion. This is because public opinion related to elections can be used to gauge public opinion regarding the candidates. Regional head elections are the primary forum for the people to determine leaders at the local level, such as governors, regents, and mayors and their deputies. The management of regional elections is regulated by Law Number 10 of 2016 concerning the Election of Governors, Regents, and Mayors, as part of the principle of regional autonomy. In this regard, the General Elections Commission (KPU), as the election organizer, is responsible for managing all phases of the regional election implementation through technical regulations stipulated in KPU Regulations. Regional Head Elections in Indonesia have been a regular event since 2005.
