Abstract

Rice field management plays a crucial role in successfully increasing rice production. This research aims to assess the fertility status of rice fields situated at varying altitudes in Giri Village, Nagrak District, Sukabumi Regency. The research comprises three stages, which include: Field research, Laboratory research, encompassing the analysis of soil chemical properties. Data analysis, conducted both descriptively and quantitatively. Composite soil samples from rice fields were collected at three different elevations (top, middle, and bottom) at a depth of 1-20 cm in the surface layer of the rice field soil. Analysis of paddy soil samples involved measuring pH H2O using the electrometric method, total N, and cation exchange capacity (CEC) using the titrimetric method, potential K2O using the flame photometric method, potential P2O5 and organic C using the spectrophotometric method, K-dd and Na-dd using the flame photometric method, and Ca-dd and Mg-dd using the AAS method. Data obtained from soil analysis at different elevations were compared based on soil type for each observed parameter. The research results indicate that the evaluation of nutrient status is influenced by altitude. Land situated at lower elevations exhibits better soil fertility status, followed by land at the upper and middle elevations. Keywords: Altitude, Andisols, Erosion, Rice fields, Soil fertility.

Abstract

The content in banana peels, namely protein, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium, and sulfur, has the potential to be used as liquid organic fertilizer (LOF). This study aims to evaluate the application of various doses of LOF derived from kepok banana peel on the growth and production of okra plants. The experiment was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta, from March to July 2021. The experiment used a Randomized Group Design (RAK), with six treatments and four repeats. The treatments are P0 (inorganic fertilizer as a control), P1 (50 mL LOF), P2 (75 mL LOF), P3 (100 mL LOF), P4 (125 mL LOF), and P5 (150 mL LOF). The results showed that the application of kepok banana peel LOF did not affect the growth and production of okra plants compared to the application of inorganic fertilizers. Abstract

Padi hitam (Oryza sativa L. indica) merupakan pangan lokal yang kaya antioksidan dan mengandung pigmen paling baik serta memiliki aroma dan rasa yang baik. Salah satu varietas padi hitam yang memiliki penampilan yang spesifik dan unik adalah varietas Jeliteng. Varietas ini memiliki potesi yang tinggi namun kemampuan untuk berproduksi masih rendah. Oleh karena itu dilakukan upaya untuk meningkatkan produksi dengan pupuk silika cair. Penelitian telah dilakukan pada tanah Jenis Andisol di Desa Cibunar, Kabupaten Garut, Jawa Barat. Penelitian disusun menggunakan Rancangan Kelompok Lengkap Teracak (RKLT) dengan 5 konsentrasi pupuk silika cair yang berbeda (0 ml/L air (kontrol), 5 ml/L air, 7,5 ml/L air, 10 ml/L air, dan 12,5 ml/L air). Masing-masing penelitian diulang 5 kali dan setiap satuan percobaan terdiri dari 3 tanaman sehinggan ada 75 tanaman. Pupuk silika cair diaplikasikan saat tanaman berumur 2 Minggu Setelah Tanam (MST), 4 MST. 6 MST dan 8 MST. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk silika cair memberikan respons positif terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan, panjang malai, dan jumlah gabah per malai namun tidak berbeda nyata diuji secara statistik. Penggunaan 10 ml/L air pupuk silika cair cenderung memberikan hasil yang lebih bagus dibandingkan dengan penggnaan konsentrasi lainnya baik pada parameter pertumbuhan maupun hasil tanaman. Pemberian pupuk silika cair dapat mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman padi hitam varietas Jeliteng dengan konsetrasi 10 ml/L air. Kata Kunci: Andisol; Padi Hitam; Silika Cair AbstractBlack rice (Oryza sativa L. indica) is a local food that is rich in antioxidants and contains the best pigments and has a good aroma and taste. One of the black rice varieties that has a specific and unique appearance is the Jeliteng variety. This variety has high potential but the ability to produce is still low. Therefore, efforts are being made to increase production with liquid silica fertilizer. Research was carried out on Andisol type soil in Cibunar Village, Garut Regency, West Java. The research was structured using a Randomized Complete Group Design (RKLT) with 5 different concentrations of liquid silica fertilizer (0 ml/L water (control), 5 ml/L water, 7.5 ml/L water, 10 ml/L water, and 12 .5 ml/L water). Each study was repeated 5 times and each experimental unit consisted of 3 plants so there were 75 plants. Liquid silica fertilizer is applied when the plants are 2 weeks after planting (MST), 4 WAP. 6 MST and 8 MST. Research shows that application of liquid silica fertilizer provides a positive response to plant height, number of tillers, panicle length, and number of grains per panicle but there is no significant difference in statistical tests. Using 10 ml/L of liquid silica fertilizer water tends to give better results compared to using other concentrations both on growth parameters and plant yields. Providing liquid silica fertilizer can influence the growth and production of black rice plants of the Jeliteng variety with a concentration of 10 ml/L of water.

Abstract

Limbah cangkang kerang hijau (CKH) dari kandungannya haranya dapat dijadikan sebagai amelioran (meningkatkan pH tanah) dan sumber unsur hara yang diaplikasikan pada tanaman bawang merah. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh berbagai dosis limbah cangkang kerang hijau sebagai amelioran terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman bawang merah. Penelitian dilaksanakan  bulan Februari – April 2023, yang berlokasi di daerah Bukit Dago, Rawakalong, Gunung Sindur, Kabupaten Bogor. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Kelompok Lengkap Teracak (RKLT), dengan 5 perlakuan yaitu P0 : CKH 0g/tanaman, P1 : CKH 5g/tanaman ( 1ton ha-1), P2 : CKH 10g/tanaman ( 2ton ha-1),  P3 : CKH 15g/tanaman ( 3 ton ha-1), dan  P4 : CKH 20g/tanaman (4 ton ha-1). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian limbah CKH sebagai amelioran dapat meningkatkan pH tanah, pemberian limbah CKH sebagai amelioran berpengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun, tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah umbi, bobot basah umbi, bobot kering umbi, dan bobot umbi protolan kering per rumpun.

Abstract

Soybeans (Glycine max (L). Merrill.) are an important source of protein in Indonesia whose supply is still very low. One of the causes is low soil fertility so it needs to be fertilized. Continuous fertilization using inorganic fertilizers turns out to have a sustainable effect, namely increasing soil damage, so it needs to be made more efficient with biological fertilizers. The research aims to determine the response of soybean plants to the application of biological fertilizer as an efficient use of inorganics. The research was carried out in Lengkong Poncol Village RT/RW 001/011 Wetan, Serpong District, South Tangerang at an altitude of ± 25 m above sea level from January 2020 to April 2020. The research used a randomized complete group design (RKLT) with five treatments, as follows: NPK 100%, NPK 75% + Biofertilizer 100 ml, NPK 50% + Biofertilizer 100 ml, NPK 25% + Biofertilizer 100 ml, and Biofertilizer 100 ml. Observations were made on plant growth and soil analysis. The results of the research showed that the use of biological fertilizer to make the use of NPK fertilizer more efficient did not have a real effect on plant growth. It can be seen that the use of biological fertilizer by making NPK fertilizer more efficient gave the same results as using 100% NPK fertilizer and using 75% NPK fertilizer + fertilizer. biological 100 ml/plant affects plant height, pH value, and soil nitrogen content.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan mengkaji efek aplikasi limbah Cangkang Kerang Hijau (CKH) sebagai amelioran terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi jagung manis. Dilakukan di kebun percobaan Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta (Januari–April 2022), penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan lima perlakuan CKH (0, 5, 10, 15, dan 20 g/tanaman) serta pupuk dasar (urea, SP-36, KCl). Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pemberian CKH tidak memberikan pengaruh signifikan, namun CKH 20 g/tanaman menunjukkan tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun tertinggi.

Abstract

Urban farming merupakan strategi pemanfaatan lahan sempit untuk menghasilkan bahan makanan segar sebagai upaya pemenuhan ketersediaan pangan perkotaan. Lokasi keberadaan KWT Nusa Indah yang berada di daerah padat penduduk menyebabkan keterbatasan lahan menjadi sebuah permasalahan penting, sehingga praktik budidaya tanaman lahan sempit sangat dibutuhkan. Microgreens menjadi solusi yang ditawarkan kepada KWT Nusa Indah untuk menjadi alternatif budidaya tanaman lahan sempit, namun belum ada sumber daya yang dapat memberikan informasi terkait microgreens. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra terkait praktik budidaya microgreens. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 11 Januari 2025, di Balai Warga Jl. Gunung Indah VI RT 01 RW 03, Kelurahan Cirendeu, Kecamatan Ciputat Timur, Kota Tangerang Selatan. Kegiatan diikuti oleh 15 orang peserta dari mitra. Pelaksanaan meliputi kegiatan survei awal, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap evaluasi. Tahap survei awal telah dilakukan untuk memetakan masalah dan rencana waktu kegiatan. Tahapan pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi program, penyuluhan, dan pendampingan. Tahap evaluasi meliputi penilaian peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta, serta penilaian kepuasan mitra. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat telah berhasil dilakukan dengan baik, ditunjukkan dengan nilai tes yang mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan sebesar 20,15% dengan hasil skor kepuasan mitra sebesar 100% (sangat puas).

Abstract

Inceptisols are soils with low to moderate fertility and have not experienced further development. This study aims to characterize the chemical properties of inclusions and base exchange fractionation of P of soil on Inceptisol soil map units of forest land, dry land, and paddy fields in Jasinga. Soil samples were taken at three horizons (Ao or Ap, AB/B1, and B/Bt) on forest soil profiles and dry land, while on paddy fields, they were taken at a depth of 0-20 cm, 20-40 cm, and 40-60 cm from the surface land. The chemical properties of the soil analyzed were soil pH, C-organic, soil bases, P-total, CEC, base saturation, and P fractionation. The results showed that the chemical properties of inclusions in the Inceptisol Jasinga soil map unit included high CEC and BS and low Mn-dd. The dominant soil inclusions are in paddy fields, followed by forests, and the lowest is in dry land. The chemical properties findings did not significantly differentiate the available inorganic P, Al-P, (Fe, Mn)-P, and (Ca, Mg)-P fractions. The inclusion of chemical characteristics did not result in a reversal of the correlation with the inorganic P fraction.

Abstract

Frass larva Black Soldier Fly (BSF) merupakan amandemen organik potensial untuk mendukung pertanian berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pengaruh berbagai dosis frass BSF yang dikombinasikan dengan pupuk anorganik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi pagoda (Brassica narinosa L.). Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan Rancangan Kelompok Lengkap Teracak (RKLT) satu faktor dengan lima perlakuan dosis frass (0–150 g/tanaman). Parameter yang diamati, meliputi pH tanah, pertumbuhan vegetatif (jumlah daun, lebar daun, diameter, panjang akar), dan hasil tanaman (bobot basah, bobot konsumsi, bobot akar, dan konversi/ha). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa meskipun secara statistik tidak signifikan, aplikasi frass BSF memberikan pengaruh biologis positif terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman. Dosis 125 g/tanaman menghasilkan nilai tertinggi pada bobot konsumsi (97,27 g) dan hasil panen (6,08 ton/ha), serta pH tanah tertinggi (6,39). Sebaliknya, dosis tertinggi (150 g/tanaman) menurunkan hasil, diduga akibat peningkatan salinitas. Frass juga terbukti memperbaiki pH tanah dan mendukung aktivitas mikroba. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa frass BSF berpotensi sebagai pupuk organik berkelanjutan jika diberikan dengan dosis optimal. Penelitian lanjutan diperlukan untuk mengevaluasi efisiensi jangka panjang dan interaksi frass dengan tanah. Kata Kunci: frass larva BSF, pertumbuhan tanaman, pupuk organik, sawi pagoda
