Abstract

Montessori based learning strategies play a crucial role in fostering independence, creativity, and holistic development in early childhood education. The Montessori approach, introduced by Maria Montessori, emphasizes a specially designed learning environment to support children’s natural abilities and developmental stages. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Montessori-based learning strategies in early childhood education in Indonesia, focusing on practical and theoretical aspects. This qualitative research employed a field research approach conducted at Alfath Daycare, an Islamic childcare center. Data collection techniques included direct observation, in-depth interviews with educators and administrators, and documentation analysis. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that the Montessori strategy significantly contributes to the holistic development of children, particularly in aspects of independence, social skills, and cognitive abilities. Each child’s unique developmental pace is accommodated within this method, which prioritizes tailored learning experiences over standardized approaches. The study highlights the importance of the educator’s role and the learning environment in implementing Montessori principles effectively, alongside identifying challenges such as maintaining consistency in method application and addressing individual needs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis internalisasi nilai pendidikan Islam dalam kurikulum merdeka di lembaga Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD). ). Internalisasi nilai pendidikan Islam di lembaga PAUD merupakan proses penanaman nilai-nilai keislaman yang mencakup aspek akidah, akhlak, dan ibadah secara terintegrasi dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka untuk membentuk karakter dan fondasi spiritual anak sejak dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, penelitian dilakukan di TK Santiya Arinda Pemulutan Barat dengan subjek 10 anak kelas B1. Pengumpulan data berupa observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, focus group discussion (FGD), dan studi dokumentasi perangkat pembelajaran. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dengan teknik triangulasi untuk memverifikasi keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa internalisasi nilai pendidikan Islam melalui empat pendekatan utama integrasi nilai dalam perencanaan pembelajaran, keteladanan, pembiasaan, dan pembelajaran aktif telah berjalan efektif. Mayoritas anak menunjukkan perkembangan yang baik dalam nilai akidah (90% kategori BSH dan BSB), nilai akhlak (90% kategori BSH dan BSB), dan nilai ibadah (80% kategori BSH dan BSB). Faktor pendukung keberhasilan mencakup komitmen kepala sekolah, kualifikasi guru, dukungan kebijakan lokal, keterlibatan orangtua, dan ketersediaan sarana prasarana. Tantangan yang dihadapi meliputi keterbatasan referensi dan panduan operasional, variasi pemahaman orangtua, pengaruh media, dan keterbatasan kompetensi guru.

Abstract

Education is essential for producing high-caliber people, and the Merdeka Curriculum is being used in Indonesia to raise educational standards, especially in the early childhood education (PAUD) sector. The purpose of this study is to examine how the Merdeka Curriculum is being implemented at PAUD and how it affects meaningful learning. Library research is the methodology, and both deductive and inductive methods are employed to analyze the qualitative data. The findings demonstrate that, in line with children's developmental stages, the Merdeka Curriculum at PAUD places a strong emphasis on experience-based learning strategies and active learning, including learning via play. Through techniques like project-based learning and utilizing the surrounding environment, this teaching methodology also encourages creativity and independence. The perceptual gap between parents and teachers, as well as teachers' limited comprehension and proficiency in implementing more contextual learning strategies, are obstacles, too. To create a learning environment that fosters children's optimal growth, parents, school principals, and instructors must work together. To sum up, the Merdeka Curriculum can produce meaningful learning, but in order to overcome current obstacles, comprehension and competency must be improved. Abstract

Early childhood education (ECE) plays a crucial role in the holistic development of children, encompassing cognitive, social, emotional, and physical aspects. This study aims to explore the implementation of authentic assessment to enhance the development of early childhood at RA Al-Furqon. The method used is qualitative descriptive, with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that authentic assessment improves children's social skills, creativity, and cognitive abilities. Additionally, this assessment also boosts children's motivation and confidence in learning. However, challenges such as time constraints and the need for teacher training must be addressed to maximize the effectiveness of this assessment. This research is expected to contribute to designing assessment systems that better align with the developmental characteristics of young children.

Abstract

The golden age of early childhood is a critical period for the development of memory and focus, which play a vital role in children's cognitive abilities. This study explores strategies for stimulating memory and focus at Telaga Alhikmah Kindergarten using a comprehensive approach. The research employed qualitative methods with a field research approach, involving observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis with the principal, teachers, students, and parents. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, with triangulation ensuring data validity. The findings indicate that various stimulation methods, such as educational games, audiovisual media, mindfulness techniques, and memory games, are highly effective in enhancing children's memory and focus. Differentiated and personalized stimulation approaches proved optimal in meeting the unique characteristics of each child. This study highlights the importance of collaboration among teachers, parents, and educational institutions in creating an environment that supports comprehensive cognitive development in children

Abstract

Holistic learning is an important approach in early childhood education that integrates all aspects of children's development comprehensively. This study aims to explore and analyze the challenges faced by teachers and the strategies developed in implementing holistic learning at TK Negeri Pembina Tanjung Batu. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with research subjects including 19 children from Group B Mecca (aged 5-6 years), 3 classroom teachers, and the principal. Data collection techniques used participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the main challenges faced by teachers include managing children's emotions who bring bad moods from home (5.3%) and handling hyperactive children (15.8%). The strategies developed by teachers include personal approaches to identify the causes of problems, intensive communication with children and parents, modification of learning activities according to individual needs, and involving parents and the surrounding environment as learning partners. Children's developmental achievements showed 42.1% in the Very Well Developed (BSB) category, 36.8% Developed As Expected (BSH), 15.8% Starting to Develop (MB), and 5.3% Not Yet Developed (BB). The implementation of holistic learning at TK Negeri Pembina Tanjung Batu demonstrates good integration between developmental aspects through meaningful activities with active parental involvement and utilization of the surrounding environment as learning resources.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Finger painting adalah teknik melukis langsung dengan jari tangan di atas bidang gambar dengan cara mengoleskan cat pada kertas basah tanpa menggunakan alat bantu kuas atau pensil. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi finger painting terhadap perkembangan motorik halus anak usia 4-5 tahun di TK Al Barokah Indralaya. Metode: Menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian dilakukan pada 9 anak yang belum optimal dalam perkembangan motorik halusnya. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Temuan dan Implikasi: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi finger painting memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap perkembangan motorik halus anak pada tiga aspek utama: koordinasi mata-tangan, kelenturan jari-jemari, dan kontrol gerakan halus. Peningkatan paling signifikan terjadi pada aspek koordinasi mata-tangan, dengan 22,2% anak (2 anak) mencapai kategori Berkembang Sangat Baik (BSB) dan 44,4% anak (4 anak) mencapai Berkembang Sesuai Harapan (BSH). Variasi aktivitas finger painting, terutama dengan pola tertentu, terbukti paling efektif dalam menstimulasi perkembangan motorik halus. Faktor yang memengaruhi keberhasilan implementasi meliputi kualitas dan tekstur bahan, dukungan dan bimbingan guru, serta frekuensi dan konsistensi pelaksanaan kegiatan. Kesimpulan: Temuan penelitian juga mengungkapkan adanya transfer keterampilan dari aktivitas finger painting ke kegiatan lain yang memerlukan motorik halus serupa, seperti menulis, menggunting, dan menempel.
