Abstract

This study examines the relationship between the ability to connect mathematically independent learning. Mathematical connection ability is closely related to real life. Learning activities that connect lessons with daily life will also be able to increase learning independence in students. Independence in learning can be interpreted as active learning activities on the basis of their own volition or appearing within themselves without being required and directed. This research is a study of a number of literatures. The literature review that supports the theoretical analysis approach includes: learning theories, connection abilities and learning independence. The sources of this research study are reference books, scientific journals and other supporting media. The results of the study are, students' connection abilities will be formed by the formation of good student learning independence. The better the learning independence, the easier it is for students to develop their mathematical connection abilities.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the level of ability of 32 students in class XII - MIPA 1 at SMA Negeri 1 Jatiwangi. The question instrument used in this research is 5 written test questions which refer to indicators of students' mathematical representation abilities. The data analysis technique used in this research is an interactive analysis technique which consists of three components, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that (1) The level of students' mathematical representation ability has an average score of 39.32 in the medium category. (2) Errors in solving statistics problems which include conceptual errors (wrong understanding of the meaning of the problem), principle errors (wrong conclusions in determining the final answer to the problem, wrong use of rules in mathematical formulas), and operational errors (wrong in using operations in mathematics such as addition, subtraction, division and multiplication). students' mathematical representations, and students' errors in solving sequences and series problems based on indicators of students' mathematical representation abilities, in class XII - MIPA 1 at SMA Negeri 1 Jatiwangi. This research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subject of this research.

Abstract

This research aims to develop mathematical teaching aids based on development models with a focus on Equivalent Fractions material. MTs Nurul Hikmah Cigasong School is faced with limited resources and mathematics learning media, which results in low student interest and motivation to learn. Mathematics education in Indonesia still shows low quality compared to other countries. Therefore, this research was carried out to create the "Valorem Fractus" teaching aid as an innovative solution to increase students' understanding of concepts in Equivalent Fractions material. The research method used is Research and Development, with stages of definition, design, and development. The trial was carried out at MTs Nurul Hikmah Cigasong, involving 18 class VII students as research subjects. The results of media and material validation tests by validators show a very high level of validity, with an average percentage of 94% and 95% respectively. The overall product validation test results show a validity level of 95%, confirming that the teaching aids and materials developed meet the expected validity standards. The use of Valorem Fractus teaching aids significantly increases students' understanding of concepts in Equivalent Fractions material. The implications of this research include recommendations for using Valorem Fractus teaching aids in mathematics learning, especially in Equivalent Fractions material. This research makes a positive contribution to the development of learning methods and teaching aids, motivates students with interactive and visual approaches, and improves negative perceptions of mathematics. Thus, the Valorem Fractus teaching aid can be relied on as an effective learning resource to improve students' understanding of concepts in Equivalent Fractions material.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis etnomatematika guna meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir geometri siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah model penelitian dan pengembangan dengan pendekatan 4D. Teknik analisis data meliputi penghitungan skor validitas dan kepraktisan melalui kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan memiliki validitas rata-rata sebesar 85% dan kepraktisan rata-rata 90,5%, menandakan bahwa bahan ajar sangat valid dan sangat praktis digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Keberhasilan ini dicapai melalui integrasi konsep geometri dengan budaya lokal, sehingga pembelajaran menjadi lebih kontekstual, relevan, dan dapat meningkatkan motivasi siswa dalam belajar. This research aims to develop ethnomathematics-based teaching materials to improve students' geometric thinking skills. The method used is a research and development model with a 4D approach. Data analysis techniques include calculating validity and practicality scores through questionnaires. The research results show that the teaching materials developed have an average validity of 85% and an average practicality of 90.5%, indicating that the teaching materials are very valid and very practical to use in learning. This success was achieved through integrating geometric concepts with local culture, so that learning becomes more contextual, relevant, and can increase student motivation in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Animaker-based learning media to improve students' mathematical reasoning skills on comparison materials. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). This research was limited to the Development stage. The research subjects were 23 8th grade students at SMP Negeri 6 Majalengka. The instruments used in this study were observation, interview, and questionnaire in the form of validation sheets and practicality sheets. The learning media developed in the form of animated videos that integrate mathematical concepts with interesting visualizations to facilitate student understanding. The results showed that Animaker-based learning media was valid with an average score of 88.5% media expert validation and 84% material expert validation. The practicality of this media is also considered very good with a teacher practicality score of 92.9% and student practicality of 90.3%. This media helps students in understanding abstract concepts to be more concrete and relevant to everyday life. This research makes a significant contribution to mathematics education by providing an innovative model for developing engaging digital learning resources that can improve students' mathematical reasoning skills.Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Animaker Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Penalaran Matematis Siswa Pada Materi PerbandinganABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis Animaker untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa pada materi perbandingan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Penelitian ini dibatasi hingga tahap Development. Subjek penelitian adalah 23 siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 6 Majalengka. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dan angket berupa lembar validasi dan lembar praktikalitas. Media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berupa video animasi yang mengintegrasikan konsep-konsep matematika dengan visualisasi yang menarik untuk memudahkan pemahaman siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis Animaker valid dengan nilai rata-rata validasi ahli media 88,5% dan validasi ahli materi 84%. Kepraktisan media ini juga dinilai sangat baik dengan skor kepraktisan guru sebesar 92,9% dan kepraktisan siswa sebesar 90,3%. Media ini membantu siswa dalam memahami konsep-konsep abstrak menjadi lebih konkrit dan relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap pendidikan matematika dengan memberikan model inovatif untuk mengembangkan sumber belajar digital yang menarik dan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa.Kata Kunci :Animaker; penalaran matematis; perbandingan.

Abstract

This research aims to strengthen students' mathematical problem-solving skills by creating teaching modules based on the Discovery Learning approach. Because traditional teaching approaches often fail to engage students effectively, the development of this module is essential. In our research, we use research and development (R&D) techniques with 4D models up to the Development stage, which concentrates on module design and testing. Based on the findings of the validity test, media experts got a score of 73%, while material experts got a score of 87%. The criteria used include relevance, completeness, ease of understanding, suitability for discovery learning, and problem-solving skills. Meanwhile, practicality received an average score of 93.5% from teachers and students. Therefore, modules can be considered legitimate and useful, and are expected to improve student engagement and problem-solving skills. Through this research, it is hoped to significantly advance mathematics education with the creation of more creative teaching strategies. The findings provide a foundation for future studies to refine and expand Discovery Learning-based instructional materials in mathematics education.

Abstract

Integrating mathematics into local culture is a way to enhance students' interest in local wisdom. The concept of mathematics is explored to find out the existence of mathematics in society's culture which has not been seen so far. The Mathematical concept is used to explore the existence of mathematics in terrace culture on the Panyaweuyan terrace of Majalengka city. This study to describe the result of exploratory project-based learning of the Panyaweuyan terrace with this kind of exploratory research. The exploring of the relationship between the terrace culture of panyaweuyan and concept mathematics, especially in the concept of arithmetic sequences is analyzed and described through literature studies, observation, and interviews with 4 informants who are local farmers. The results that there is a relationship between the arithmetic sequence concept with the local culture of Panyaweuyan Majalengka city. The results of the study stated that each mound on each step on the Panyeweuyan terraces was formed through an arithmetic sequence formula. Farmers in Panyaweuyan terraces are naturally able to make terraces according to the arithmetic sequence formula without knowing the basics of mathematics. Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis adalah kemampuan kognitif yang mendorong siswa untuk mempertimbangkan masalah secara kritis yang Dmembutuhkan kemampuan berpikir induktif termasuk mengidentifikasi hubungan, mengevaluasi situasi terbuka, mencari tahu sebab dan akibat, membuat deduksi, dan menghitung data yang relevan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul ajar berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Tiga Variabel (SPLTV) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Menggunakan metodologi Research and Development (R&D) dengan pendekatan ADDIE, modul ajar ini melalui tahap analisis, desain dan pengembangan. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari lembar validasi oleh ahli media dan materi, serta kuesioner kepraktisan untuk guru dan siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan skala Likert untuk mengukur validitas dan kepraktisan modul. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul ajar matematika dengan PBL yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis. Keberhasilan penelitian ini didukung oleh pendekatan kontekstual yang meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Dampak penelitian ini terhadap pembelajaran matematika adalah peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi SPLTV dan kemampuan berpikir kritis, yang penting untuk menghadapi tantangan dalam pendidikan abad ke-21.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika merupakan aspek penting dalam kegiatan pendidikan. Namun, minat yang dimiliki siswa dalam belajaran matematika masih tergolong  rendah.  Penelitian ini  merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan yang  mengembangkan alat peraga Tiang Barisan dan Deret Geometri untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi). Namun, penelitian ini hanya sampai pada tahap pengembangan. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari angket minat belajar, lembar validasi, dan lembar kepraktisan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menghitung persentase minat belajar, validitas, dan kepraktisan berdasarkan skala likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa alat peraga dinyatakan valid dengan persentase  dari ahli media dan  dari ahli materi. Selain itu, alat peraga juga dinyatakan praktis oleh guru dengan persentase  dan siswa dengan persentase . Skor angket minat belajar menunjukkan adanya peningkatan minat belajar siswa sebesar . Meskipun demikian, minat belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika masih dalam kategori “cukup”. Alat peraga tersebut dapat dinyatakan valid karena sesuai dengan materi dan kebutuhan siswa, serta memiliki desain yang menarik. Alat peraga dinyatakan praktis karena penggunaannya yang cukup mudah dan ukuran yang sesuai. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi dalam mengembangkan berbagai strategi pembelajaran yang lebih baik di masa depan.

Abstract

Trigonometri sering dianggap sulit oleh siswa karena konsepnya yang kompleks dan metode pengajaran yang monoton. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat Kartu TrigonoMatch sebagai alat pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan disposisi matematis pada pembelajaran trigonometri. Diharapkan bahwa media ini akan dapat diandalkan dan berguna untuk pembelajaran trigonometri di sekolah menengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi ADDIE (Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi, Evaluasi) bersama dengan pendekatan R&D, yang difokuskan pada tahap pengembangan. Lembar validasi dan kuesioner kepraktisan digunakan sebagai instrumen penelitian. Validitas dihitung menggunakan rumus , sedangkan kepraktisan diukur dengan . Hasil dalam rentang 80%-100% dianggap "sangat valid" atau "sangat praktis." Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media Kartu TrigonoMatch "sangat valid," dengan skor 95,71% dari ahli media dan 83,7% dari ahli materi. Uji kepraktisan menghasilkan 91,67% dari guru dan 81,6% dari siswa, yang dinilai "Sangat Praktis." Media ini meningkatkan motivasi, minat, dan pemahaman siswa terhadap trigonometri sambil memberikan pengalaman yang menarik dan interaktif. Keberhasilannya disebabkan oleh desainnya yang interaktif dan mampu menarik perhatian siswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Kartu TrigonoMatch memiliki dampak positif pada pembelajaran matematika dengan menyediakan alat yang inovatif dan menyenangkan, sehingga meningkatkan minat siswa terhadap matematika, khususnya trigonometri.
