Abstract

Insomnia is a condition where sleep needs are not met in both quantity and quality. According to Chowdhury, et al (2021) insomnia is a sleep disorder characterized by conditions of difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep, waking up in the morning and not being able to fall asleep again, even with adequate opportunities and conditions for sleep. Individuals who experience insomnia feel excessive sleepiness during the day due to insufficient quantity and quality of sleep. This study aims to determine the incidence of insomnia in students of the Faculty of Nursing, Riau University. This research is a quantitative study using a descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. The research sample was 257 respondents who were taken based on the inclusion criteria using the proportionated stratified random sampling technique. All respondents filled out google forms related to respondent characteristic data and ISI questionnaires. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis and presented in a frequency distribution table. The results of this study showed 60.7% of respondents experienced insomnia with the most sleep problems, namely difficulty falling asleep (74.7%), the majority of respondents were early adulthood (56.8%) and female (89.1%).

Abstract

Introduction: Hypertension is a disease that often occurs without complaints with systolic blood pressure equal to or above 140 mmHg and diastolic pressure equal to or above 90 mmHg. Objective: This study aims to describe the knowledge and application of a low salt diet in hypertensive patients in the Rejosari Community Health Center working area. Method: This research method uses descriptive research with a quantitative design and a cross-sectional approach. The sample was 77 respondents using proportional random sampling technique. The research instrument used a questionnaire and 24 hour food recall. Research analysis uses univariate analysis. Results: There were 38 people (49.3%) who had poor knowledge about a low salt diet. A total of 43 people (55.8%) did not comply with the recommended implementation of a low salt diet, namely RG 1 as many as 3 people (3.9%), RG 2 as many as 15 people (19.5%), and RG 3 as many as 25 people. people (32.4%). Conclusion: The majority of knowledge about a low salt diet among hypertensive patients in the Rejosari health center working area is in the poor and sufficient categories and most respondents are not suitable for implementing the recommended low salt diet.

Abstract

Menurut Survei Sosial Ekonomi Nasional (SUSENAS) yang dilakukan pada tahun 2019, makanan dan minuman jadi termasuk teh kemasan dan minuman bersoda 26,32%, sari buah kemasan, minuman kesehatan, dan minuman berenergi 22,66% kopi, kopi susu, teh dan susu coklat sebesar 58,82%. Konsumsi minuman berpemanis di Indonesia menduduki peringkat ketiga di Asia Tenggara yaitu sebanyak 20,23 liter/orang. Konsumsi minuman berpemanis yang tinggi berkontribusi pada peningkatan angka mortalitas dan angka morbiditas akibat obesitas, diabetes dan penyakit kardiovaskular, menarche dini, dismenore dan penurunan kesuburan. Desain penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross-sectionaldengan jumlah sampel penelitian 229 responden mengisi google form kuesioner BEVQ yang telah dimodifikasi. Analisis data dengan analisis univariat dan disajikan dalam tabel distribusi frekuensi. Mayoritas responden berusia dewasa awal (57,2%), uang saku harian sedang (86%), alasan mengkonsumsi minuman berpemanis karena preferensi atau kesukaan terhadap rasa manis (66,4), kebiasaan ?20x per bulan (50,7%) dan jenis minuman yang paling banyak dikonsumsi yaitu teh (46,7%). Peneliti menyarankan agar dapat mengurangi kebiasaan konsumsi minuman berpemanis yang berlebihan untuk menghindari dampak negatif dari minuman berpemanis ini dan dapat menormalisasi selalu membawa atau membeli minuman dengan kandungan yang sehat, salah satunya air putih.

Abstract

Picky eater adalah perilaku memilih-milih makanan pada anak, anak menolak untuk makan makanan tertentu atau sulit makan, picky eatermerupakan salah satu penyumbang kejadian malnutrisi pada anak di dunia termasuk di Indonesia. Picky eater disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya adalah kebiasaan makan, pengetahuan orang tua, dan perilaku orang tua. Pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu yang memadai akan menjamin kebutuhan gizi anak dengan pemberian makan yang sesuai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan ibu dan perilaku picky eater pada anak usia prasekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan desain deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 91 orang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner CEBQ dan kuesioner pengetahuan ibu yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis yang digunakan adalah univariat. Semua responden mengisi data terkait karakteristik responden dan kuesioner. Mayoritas tingkat pengetahuan ibu berada pada kategori pengetahuan rendah sebanyak 40 responden (44%) dan dari segi perilaku picky eater mayoritas responden memiliki anak yang picky eater yaitu sebanyak 51 responden (56%) Tergambar frekuensi pengetahuan ibu dalam pemberian makan anak dan perilaku picky eater pada anak prasekolah diwilayah kerja Puskesmas Garuda Kota Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Today's teenagers grow up in an environment that puts them at risk of experiencing micronutrient deficiencies. One of the causes is their limited knowledge, which affects their decision-making when it comes to choosing nutritious food from the options available to them. To address these issues, nutritional status screening training and health education are necessary to prevent malnutrition among adolescents. This community service aims to increase health knowledge among teenagers and improve their skills in screening for nutritional status. The method used is training through the provision of health information related to balanced nutrition, reproductive health, and the nutritional needs of teenagers. After the material is delivered, the program continues with a simulation involving weighing, measuring height, and calculating body mass index. This activity involved 20 teenagers in Limbungan Baru Village, Pekanbaru City. The results showed an increase in the percentage of teenagers with a good level of knowledge, from 15% before the training to 75% after the training. Adolescents who have received training need to be involved in posyandu (community health center) activities so that their skills are maintained and can contribute to increasing community independence in maintaining health status.

Abstract

Increasing age will result in changes that occur, one of which is a decline in the cardiovascular system, especially hypertension. Hypertension that lasts a long time and if not treated properly will cause damage to the blood vessels in the heart. Damage to the heart's blood vessels will cause blood flow to the heart muscles to be obstructed. This can cause a heart attack which will increase the risk of falls. The aim of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between hypertension and the risk of falls in the elderly. The design used is descriptive correlation and a cross sectional approach. The research sample was 82 respondents in the work area of the Rejosari Health Center, Pekanbaru City. using purposive sampling technique. The analysis used is the chi-square test. Based on the results of statistical tests, it shows that there is a relationship between hypertension and the risk of falls in the elderly, with P Value (0.001) alpha (0.05). Based on the results obtained, it was concluded that high blood pressure could result in a risk of falls in the elderly.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Remaja merupakan pengguna sosial media yang aktif, oleh karena itu remaja dapat memanfaatkan media sosial salah satunya sebagai tempat berbagi edukasi kesehatan dengan membuat media edukasi melalui desain grafis menggunakan aplikasi canva dan capcut. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini agar remaja dapat memanfaatkan media sosial untuk berbagi edukasi terkait kesehatan dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi desain grafis sebagai alat untuk membuat media edukasi. Kegiatan pelatihan ini dilakukan di wilayah Kelurahan Limbungan Baru, Kota Pekanbaru. Metode yang dipergunakan dalam pelatihan ini dengan pemberian materi dan demonstrasi terkait cara pembuatan media edukasi, pendampingan kepada remaja, dan evaluasi terkait pembuatan media edukasi. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan responden sebelum dan setelah dilakukan pelatihan pemanfaatan media sosial pada remaja. Kata Kunci: Remaja, Pelatihan, Media Sosial, Edukasi Kesehatan  ABSTRACT Teenagers are active social media users, therefore teenagers can utilize social media, one of which is as a place to share health education by creating educational media through graphic design using the Canva and Capcut applications. The purpose of this community service is so that teenagers can utilize social media to share health-related education by utilizing graphic design applications as a tool to create educational media. This training activity was carried out in the Limbungan Baru Village area, Pekanbaru City. The method used in this training was to provide material and demonstrations related to how to create educational media, mentoring teenagers, and evaluations related to creating educational media. Abstract

Bayi berat lahir rendah didefinisikan sebagai bayi yang terlahir dengan berat badan kurang dari normal yakni kurang dari 2500 gram. Selama masa adaptasi yang terjadi selama pemindahan dari rumah sakit ke rumah dan seterusnya, masalah kesehatan dapat muncul sehingga ibu mengalami rasa cemas, takut, dan kurangnya dukungan dari keluarga membuat ibu tidak percaya diri untuk merawat bayinya saat diperbolehkan pulang. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat kesiapan ibu merawat bayi BBLR di rumah. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan desain cros-sectional. Sampel penelitian adalah 32 responden yang diambil berdasarkan kriteria inklusi. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis bivariat menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil uji chi-square antara tingkat pengetahuan dengan tingkat kesiapan ibu p- value = 0,161, yang tidak ada hubungan. Pada hasil tingkat stres dengan tingkat kesiapan p-value = 0,427, tidak ada hubungan. Sedangkan dukungan keluarga dengan tingkat kesiapan ibu p-value = 0,536, yang artinya tidak ada hubungan. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini faktor tingkat pengetahuan, tingkat stres, dan dukungan keluarga tidak ada hubungan dengan tingkat kesiapan ibu merawat bayi BBLR di rumah.

Abstract

Obesity is a global health problem with increasing prevalence. One behavioral factor contributing to the risk of obesity in adolescents is the consumption of sugary drinks. The 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) data shows that 61.27% of the population aged ≥3 years consumed sugary drinks more than once a day, 30.22% consumed them 1–6 times per week, and only 8.51% consumed them less than three times per month. This study aims to describe the consumption patterns of sweetened drinks in obese adolescents. The study used a quantitative descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. The study sample consisted of 70 obese adolescents selected through a total sampling method according to the inclusion criteria. Data were collected using a respondent characteristics questionnaire and the Beverage Intake Questionnaire (BEVQ-15), then analyzed univariately. The results showed that of the 70 respondents, 38 (54.3%) were male and 32 (45.7%) were female. The majority of respondents aged 14 (58.6%), and 53 (75.7%) reported high levels of sweetened beverage consumption. High frequency and volume of consumption contribute to increased daily calorie intake, a risk factor for obesity. Awareness-raising and control efforts regarding sweetened beverage consumption are needed as a strategy for obesity prevention from adolescence..

Abstract

Cancer is a non-communicable disease in which cells or tissues grow uncontrollably and malignantly and require long-term treatment. Chemotherapy is the primary treatment used to treat cancer by giving a type of drug that is tailored to the type of cancer suffered by the child. The mechanism of action of chemotherapy drugs is very strong to kill cancer cells but this also affects other normal cells. This shows that chemotherapy has side effects in its treatment. The side effects of chemotherapy are physical and psychological impacts. Objective: this study aims to determine the physical and psychological impact on children who undergo chemotherapy. This research was conducted at Arifin Achmad Regional Hospital. Methods: This research design uses descriptive quantitative with cross sectional approach. The sample of this study was 66 respondents. Sampling used a purposive sampling technique with inclusion criteria namely children who received chemotherapy treatment and were aged 5 to 7 years. The analysis used was univariate analysis. Results: The results of this study show that the physical impacts that often arise are hair loss (71.4%), dry mouth (40.5%), lack of energy (38.1%), changes in skin color (38.1%), nausea (38.1%), weight loss (35.7%) and others. Frequent psychological effects were irritability (69.0%), sleep disturbance (42.9%), worry (31.0%) and others. sadness (28.6%) and others. Conclusion: From the results of the study, it can be seen that the most frequent impacts on children undergoing chemotherapy are hair loss and irritability.
