Abstract

This community service activity in the form of training for parents aims to provide insight and practical skills to parents in supporting the development of early childhood independence. The method used is a direct question and answer to parents regarding children's independence. The tools used to assist in the implementation of this community service activity are in the form of images and videos. The implementation of the activity is carried out through six methods, namely lecture and discussion methods, practical training and simulation, demonstration methods, group guidance, provision of modules and supporting media as well as evaluation and monitoring. This training was given to parents of 25 students of Pamiwahan Putra II Wahyu Luhur Kindergarten. As a result of this training, parents know and can adopt a more positive and consistent approach to educating children so that they can become more independent and ready to face challenges in the future. Full support from parents in this process is very important to shape the character of children who are independent, creative, and confident.

Abstract

The use of the concept of independent learning in education provides great potential for the development of better education in Indonesia. Through community service activities, the Early Childhood Education Teacher Education Study Program (PG-PAUD) provides training to encourage and train PAUD teachers at TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 14 Surabaya to be able to have knowledge and skills in planning literacy-based learning as part of the implementation of independence Study. This community service activity is in the form of literacy-based learning preparation training as an implementation of the independent learning curriculum for Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 14 Surabaya Kindergarten teachers. The use of the concept of independent learning in education provides great potential in the development of better education in Indonesia. Through independent learning, students are expected to be able to have Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 4C that is competencies, namely communication, creativity, collaboration and critical thinking. By having these 4C competencies, children will not only memorize lessons, but will be able to create new things or new innovations for Indonesia in all fields, have social skills to work together and have character, ethics and normalcy.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the critical thinking abilities of young children through telling stories using puzzle media. So far, the storytelling method has only been used to develop abilities in language and cognitive aspects which are limited to knowledge and understanding. Current educational demands encourage students to be able to think more complexly and at a higher level than just understanding and knowledge. These skills are what are called high order thinking skills (HOTS). One of the skills that surrounds HOTS is critical thinking skills. Critical thinking skills can be developed from an early age. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation for 5 (five) kindergartens. The research results show that storytelling using puzzle media has promising potential for developing critical thinking skills in early childhood. Telling stories using puzzle media can help children analyze information, evaluate ideas, and draw conclusions. This research provides a new contribution to the field of early childhood education, especially in the development of critical thinking skills. The findings from this research can be used by educators and parents to design more effective and enjoyable learning activities for young children.

Abstract

Kerjasama pada anak usia dini merupakan keterampilan sosial yang sangat penting untuk perkembangan sosial, emosi dan kognitif anak. Melalui kerjasama, anak dapat membangun hubungan yang sehat dengan orang lain, mengembangkan keterampilan sosial yang kuat dan meningkatkan kemampuan mereka dalam mencapai tujuan bersama. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas play terapi menggunakan permainan lego untuk meningkatkan kerjasama anak di TK Lintang Surabaya. Observasi awal yang dilakukan di TK Lintang menunjukkan bahwa perilaku yang selalu ingin menonjol, menang sendiri dan tidak mau mengalah masih muncul pada anak-anak. Untuk menyikapi hal tersebut, maka dilakukan suatu teknik play terapi menggunakan permainan lego untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kerjasama anak. Adapun metode yang dilakukan ialah menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskrisptif dan subyek penelitian ialah siswa TK B yang ada di TK Lintang Surabaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan permainan lego dalam play terapi efektif dalam meningkatkan kerjasama pada anak.

Abstract

Buku pop-up menjadi media yang menarik namun masih belum terintegrasi dalam pembelajaran sehingga perlu dilakukan pengembangan agar hasilnya yang dicapai maksimal. Melalui kegiatan yang dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pengabdian pada masyarakat mempunyai tujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan terkait pengembangan media dalam bentuk buku pop-up. Adapun tema yang digunakan dalam pembuatan buku pop-up yaitu budaya lokal. Sasaran kegiatan yaitu guru TK di Lamongan agar mempunyai pengetahuan dan kemampuan dalam merencanakan pembelajaran menggunakan media sehingga pembelajaran menjadi menarik dan menyenangkan.  Penggunaan media buku pop-up berbasis budaya lokal akan mampu  menjadi sebuah media yang menarik dan semakin menumbuhkan kecintaan anak pada tanah air. Hasil dari kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan guru dalam menyusun media buku pop up yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran, dalam hal ini pengenalan budaya lokal Kota Lamongan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kenyataan bahwa kurang berkembangnya motorik halus anak di kelompok A TK Budi Luhur Kedungpengaron, Modo, Lamongan. Selama ini guru sering mengembangkan motorik halus anak dengan kegiatan mewarnai, menggambar, melipat, dan menulis dan jarang melakukan kegiatan kolase. Padahal kolase menuntut kreativitas dan ide yang lebih sulit dibanding dengan pembuatan karya seni rupa yang lain, karena di dalam pembuatan kolase dituntut untuk memiliki, mencari, dan menemukan bahan yang khusus dan cocok untuk membuat kolase, kemudian bagaimana cara memadukan antara bahan yang satu dengan bahan yang lainnya. Bahan yang digunakan bisa berupa bahan alam, bahan buatan, bahan setengah jadi, bahan jadi dan bahan sisa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sejumlah 15 anak di kelompok A TK Budi Luhur Kedungpengaron, Modo, Lamongan. Hasil penelitian didapatkan adanya pengaruh dalam meningkatkan perkembangan motorik halus melalui keterampilan media kolase dengan bahan bekas pada anak kelompok A TK Budi Luhur Kedungpengaron, Modo, Lamongan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penerapan pendekatan deep learning dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan komunikasi pada anak TK B. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini adalah masih dominannya metode konvensional yang berpusat pada guru, sehingga anak kurang terlibat aktif dalam proses berpikir dan berkomunikasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus di salah satu Taman Kanak-Kanak dengan subjek sebanyak delapan belas anak. Data diperoleh melalui observasi terhadap aktivitas anak, peran guru, keterlibatan dalam diskusi, efektivitas kegiatan, dan keterlibatan anak dalam pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dari rata-rata pretest ke posttest pada seluruh indikator, dengan peningkatan tertinggi pada peran guru (46,87%) dan keterlibatan anak dalam komunikasi (34,38%). Secara keseluruhan, rata-rata peningkatan capaian mencapai 27,1%, yang menunjukkan bahwa deep learning efektif dalam mendorong anak berpikir lebih mendalam, aktif berkomunikasi, dan terlibat reflektif dalam pembelajaran. Kesimpulannya, penerapan pendekatan deep learning dapat memperkuat kualitas pembelajaran di PAUD dengan menciptakan proses belajar yang bermakna, eksploratif, dan berpusat pada anak.

Abstract

The purpose of the community service is to provide parents with skills to support their children emotionally and help them manage feelings of anxiety and increase their self-confidence. School entrance exams often create stress that can affect children's emotional well-being and the parent-child relationship. This activity uses a participatory approach and is conducted in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Participants were 25 parents in Sidoarjo who have children who will take part in school entrance exams at the junior high and high school levels. The results showed that all participants (29%) experienced an increased understanding of the importance of emotional strategies. Twenty-six percent of participants showed a change in attitude to become calmer and more supportive, and 24% began implementing emotional strategies at home. Furthermore, 21% reported a positive impact on their children's emotional readiness. The findings from this activity indicate that the socialization of emotional strategies effectively increases parents' awareness and skills in supporting their children psychologically, thus helping to create a more stable emotional state and prepare them for school entrance exams.

Abstract

Communication skills are an important aspect of a child's development that affects their ability to interact with their social environment. The role play method is known as an effective approach to develop these skills as it allows children to express themselves freely through various roles they play. This study aims to examine the effect of role play method in enhancing communication skills in early childhood. This research uses an experimental design with a control group, where the experimental group is treated with role play activities, while the control group receives conventional learning. The subjects of this research were five to six years old children spread across several kindergartens, a total of 60 students. The instruments used in this study are observations and interviews to measure changes in communication skills before and after treatment. The results show that the role play method has a significant positive impact on improving communication skills in early childhood. Children who participated in role play activities showed improvement in speaking, listening, and interacting with their peers. This study concludes that the role play method can be an effective strategy for improving communication skills in early childhood, and thus can be applied in early childhood education institutions. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the development of more interactive and creative learning methods to support children's communication skill development.
