This study aims to analyze the effect of workload and compensation on employee performance at PT Pegadaian Persero, Kalianyar Branch, Surabaya. The background of this research stems from performance decline issues, as reflected in operational indicators such as Outstanding Loan and Disbursement. This study employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive method, and data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 42 employees using a total sampling technique. The data were analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method based on Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results indicate that both workload and compensation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. A well-structured workload and fair compensation can enhance employee efficiency, motivation, and loyalty. These findings highlight the importance of human resource management that emphasizes task balance and recognition of employee contributions to improve organizational performance.
