Abstract

Diabetes mellitus merupakan suatu penyakit metabolik yang ditandai dengan terjadinya peningkatan kadar gula dalam darah (hiperglikemik) yang terjadi karena adanya kelainan sekresi insulin, kerja insulin atau kedua-duanya. Peningkatan kadar gula darah melebihi batas normal merupakan suatu  tanda dari diabetes melitus (DM). Sebelum dan sesudah  melakukan  kegiatan penyuluhan tentang penyakit diabetes melitus tipe 2 pemateri memberikan beberapa pertanyaan secara Lisan sebanyak  3 Pertanyaan ini dilakukan untuk melihat bagaimana pengetahuan lansia. Dari 30 lansia yang hadir dalam kegiatan hanya beberapa lansia yang menjawab benar, sebagian lagi menjawab salah dan sebagianya tidak menjawab sama sekali pertanyaan yang di berikan. Pada saat penyuluhan media yang di gunakan adalah leaflet. Dalam kegiatan ini juga dilakukan tanya jawab Setelah selesai penyampaian materi. Pemateri Kembali memberikan pertanyaan secara lisan tentang penyakit diabetes melitus tipe 2 sebanyak 3 kali pertanyaan. Hal ini dilakukan untuk melihat bagimana lansia telah memahami materi yang telah disampaikan apakah mengerti atau tidak, dari 30 lansia yang hadir Sebagian menjawab bener dan Sebagian kecil menjawab kurang tepat. Dari Hasil kegiatan yang dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui program yang telah dilakukan di Rt 6 Kelurahan pantoloan kecamatan tawaili pengetahuan lansia sebelum dilakukan penyuluhan masih sangat kurang. Namun setelah dilakukan penyuluhan, dan pemeriksaan langsung gula darah sewaktu sangat mengerti dan dapat diimpelemtasikan dikemudia hari.

Abstract

Salah satu masalah kesehatan yang mengancam anak Indonesia bahkan dunia adalah stunting. Prevalensi kejadian stunting di Sulawesi tengah sebesar 21,4% dimana Kabupaten Sigi berada diurutan tertinggi ke tiga dengan prevalensi stunting 24,6%, setelah Kabupaten Donggala 34,9% dan Kabupaten Tojo Una-una 26,6%. Sebanyak 63 balita dari 463 balita usia 24-59 bulan mengalami stunting diwilayah kerja Puskesmas Marawola Kecamatan Sigi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan riwayat pemberian ASI eksklusif dengan kejadian stunting pada balita usia 24-59 bulan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Marawola Kabupaten Sigi. Jenis penelitian analitik dengan rancangan penelitian case control. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah balita stunting dan tidak stunting usia 24-59 bulan Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode proporsional random sampling. Sampel sebanyak 39 balita stunting dan 39 balita tidak stunting jadi total sampel sebanyak 78 balita berusia 24-59 bulan. Analisa data menggunakan uji Chi Square. Ada hubungan riwayat pemberian ASI eksklusif dengan kejadian stunting pada balita usia 24-59 bulan di wilayah kerja puskesmas marawola kabupaten sigi dengan nilai P=0,023 (P<0,05) nilai OR=2,875. Riwayat pemberian ASI eksklusif berhubungan dengan kejadian stunting pada balita usia 24-59 bulan diwilayah kerja Puskesmas Marawola Kecamatan Sigi. Perlu dilakukan pemberian edukasi tentang pentingnya pemberian ASI ekslusif untuk pecegahan stunting.

Abstract

The rapid transformation brought by Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0 demands vocational education to produce graduates who are not only technically competent but also creative and entrepreneurial. This study aims to enhance student creativity in CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) learning by implementing a marketplace-based Teaching Factory model. Using a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, the study involved 20 students of the Mechanical Engineering Education Program over two learning cycles. Each cycle included planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The results showed significant improvements across four assessed aspects: technical skills (from 74.1 to 86.6), product design (from 75.1 to 87.9), marketing (from 73.5 to 86.5), and reflective learning (from 78.2 to 91.0). The marketing aspect experienced the highest gain, indicating that digital marketplaces provide an effective platform for practical entrepreneurial learning. This study concludes that integrating marketplace platforms into Teaching Factory learning can significantly foster creativity and entrepreneurial skills in vocational students.

Abstract

This paper analyzes the exhaust emission, noise, and performance of 110cc motorcycles experimentally through PCCS exhausts compared to standard exhausts. This study adopts an experimental method involving three tests: exhaust emission testing based on the SNI 09-7118.1-2005 standard, noise measurement using the static test procedure according to the UN-R 41-04 standard, and performance evaluation conducted with an inertial dynamometer. Implementing the PCCS exhaust system on a 110 cc automatic motorcycle positively impacts exhaust emissions, noise levels, and engine performance. Compared to the standard exhaust, the PCCS significantly reduces CO and HC emissions by 78.99% and 55.99%, respectively, while maintaining noise levels within regulatory limits in urban conditions. In terms of performance, the PCCS delivers higher torque and power output, particularly in the 3500–5500 RPM range, which aligns with typical riding conditions. These improvements are attributed to the system’s efficient exhaust flow and reduced backpressure. The PCCS exhaust presents a promising solution for enhancing environmental sustainability, performance, and rider comfort in small-displacement motorcycles.

Abstract

This article examines the implementation of the Game-Based Learning (GBL) model in lathe machining education at vocational high schools (SMK). Lathe machining is a manufacturing process that produces cylindrical machine components using a lathe, in which the workpiece rotates and is subjected to a single-point cutting tool aligned with the workpiece axis. To improve the quality of lathe machining education, an effective instructional model such as Game-Based Learning is needed. This research applies a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach to identify and analyze six relevant studies published between 2020 and 2025 based on inclusion criteria. The findings show that GBL has a positive impact on increasing students’ learning motivation, engagement, and learning outcomes in lathe machining practice. The study concludes that GBL is an effective solution for practice-based learning in vocational education and recommends its wider adoption in technical vocational training.

Abstract

Understanding welding defect analysis is a crucial competency in vocational welding education, especially in ensuring the quality and safety of welding outcomes. However, many students struggle to master this material due to the lack of interactive and adaptive learning media. This study aims to develop and implement an electronic module (e-module) to enhance student learning outcomes in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) defect analysis at SMK N 5 Semarang. The research uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach based on the 4D model: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. A one-group pre-test post-test design was used, involving 33 Grade XI Mechanical Engineering 2 students. The e-module was validated by experts and classified as "Valid" in terms of content, media, and assessments. Students' average scores increased from 40.61 in the pre-test to 78.64 in the post-test. Statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test and paired t-test showed a significant difference (p < 0.001). The average N-Gain score was 0.63, indicating a moderate improvement. The results confirm that the e-module is both feasible and effective. It enhances students’ conceptual understanding and supports independent, technology-based learning aligned with the characteristics of digital-native learners.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengevaluasi keefektifan e-modul interaktif sebagai media pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada pokok bahasan komponen mesin frais. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate). Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI Program Studi Teknik Pemesinan SMK Negeri 5 Semarang. Instrumen pengumpulan data meliputi soal pretest dan posttest, lembar validasi ahli materi dan media, serta angket respon siswa. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa e-modul sangat layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang signifikan setelah menggunakan e-modul, dibuktikan dengan selisih skor pretest dan posttest yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t. Rata-rata skor N-Gain menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang cukup. Selain itu, respon siswa terhadap penggunaan e-modul tergolong sangat positif. Oleh karena itu, e-modul dianggap efektif sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang komponen mesin frais. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penggunaan e-modul sebagai alternatif inovatif dalam pembelajaran berbasis teknologi dalam pendidikan kejuruan.

Abstract

The palm oil industry presents significant challenges to material durability due to its corrosive and abrasive environment, particularly affecting components such as screw conveyors made from SS304 stainless steel. This study aims to analyze the influence of composite coating variations based on epoxy resin with the addition of aluminum (Al), silicon carbide (SiC), and titanium dioxide (TiO₂) on the corrosion and wear rates of SS304 in an H₂SO₄ medium. The methods employed include corrosion testing using the weight loss method in accordance with ASTM G31-72, and wear testing using the Ogoshi method following ASTM G99. Four specimen variations were evaluated: uncoated (Raw), pure epoxy, epoxy–Al–SiC (A), and epoxy–TiO₂–SiC (B).The results indicate that Specimen B exhibited the best corrosion resistance, with the lowest corrosion rate of 0.00798 mm/year, while Specimen A demonstrated the highest wear resistance, with a wear rate of 0.00042 mm³/kg·m. The pure epoxy specimen showed the poorest performance in both aspects. These findings confirm that the incorporation of reinforcing particles into the epoxy matrix plays a significant role in enhancing corrosion and wear resistance, thereby contributing to extended service life and improved equipment efficiency in extreme industrial environments.

Abstract

Evaporation boats waste is a waste that is difficult to decompose which has characteristics as a material for makingowi, but its utilisation is still not optimal. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of compaction pressure on the thermal conductivity and microstructure of aowi made from evaporation boats, kaolin and rice husk charcoal. The research method used was experimental. The independent variable used in this study is the kowi compaction pressure with variations of 20 MPa, 25 MPa, 30 MPa, 35 MPa. The composition of the materials used is 50% evaporation boats, 35% kaolin powder, and 15% rice husk charcoal and 15% water from the total weight of the materials in the mixing. The dependent variables in this study are thermal conductivity testing and microstructure observation. Control variables in this study are powder particle size 100 mesh, mixing time 90 minutes, thickness 2 and 4 mm, specimen diameter 40 mm, firing temperature used 8000C, and holding time 2 hours. The results showed that the average value of the highest thermal conductivity of 4.1045 W / MK at a compression pressure of 35 MPa and the lowest thermal conductivity value of 3.3499 W / MK at a compression pressure of 20 MPa. The higher the compression pressure, the greater the value of thermal conductivity. This is because the greater the compression pressure, the stronger the bond between particles and pores are reduced so that the density increases. The microstructure shows a difference in phase at each compression pressure given. The greater the compression pressure applied, the tighter the density of the material. Abstract

The increasing demand for lightweight materials in the automotive industry has led to the replacement of metal vehicle components with polymers such as High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Polypropylene (PP) to support sustainable development and emission reduction. However, welding dissimilar polymers presents a challenge due to the limitations of conventional techniques. Friction Stir Welding (FSW) emerges as a promising solution by enabling solid-state joining below the melting point. This study investigates the effect of AA7075 tool profile variations—plain cylinder, threaded cylinder, and grooved cone—on the mechanical properties and macrostructure of HDPE-PP FSW joints. Experimental welding was performed at a rotational speed of 2920 rpm and a travel speed of 30 mm/min, with analysis including tensile tests (ASTM D638), bending tests (ASTM D790), temperature measurements, and macrostructural observations. Results show that the threaded cylindrical tool yielded the highest tensile strength (4 MPa) due to effective material flow, while the grooved cone tool produced the highest bending strength (6,8 MPa) through improved vertical and radial mixing. The plain cylindrical tool showed the weakest performance with significant welding defects. Overall, tool geometry significantly influences weld quality, and selection should be based on the mechanical requirements of the application. These findings emphasize the importance of tool design optimization to enhance joint strength and structural integrity in dissimilar thermoplastic FSW.
