Abstract

This study aims to describe the influence analysis of students' mindful communication abilities on the spiritual intelligence of Triratna High School students in West Jakarta. Mindful communication ability is the communication ability that is adequately conveyed by being aware of aspects of language and communication ethics. Character is formed due to an understanding of the three relationships that every human being must experience. Spiritual intelligence is the foundation for intellectual and emotional intelligence to function effectively. This study used a descriptive approach and a quantitative regression method using two instruments to measure mindful communication's effect on students' mental intelligence at Triratna school, West Jakarta. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive relationship between mindful communication and cognitive intelligence. The results of this study contain implications that mindful communication has an essential role for students.

Abstract

Interpersonal communication involves communicators and communicants meeting face to face and allows each communicator to capture the communicator's reaction or vice versa directly, both verbally and nonverbally. Good interpersonal communication will help increase student learning activities to the fullest. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population in this study was 113, and the sample was 66, obtained using the proportional random sampling technique. The research was conducted at the Jinarakkhita Buddhist College of Religion in Lampung with even semester student respondents. Based on the study's results, it illustrates a significant influence between interpersonal communication variables and student learning activity variables. The criterion for testing the hypothesis is to reject H0 if t count > t table and vice versa. For the t distribution used dk = (n-2) and a = 0.05. Based on the data analysis obtained tcount = 3,081 while the t table with n = 66 and a = 0.05 brought 1,668. Then it can be seen that t count> t table (3,081> 1.668) or sig (0.003≤0.05), it is concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, so there is an influence interpersonal communication on student learning activities.

Abstract

The motivation aspect is very important in a learning process in higher education, because motivation determines the intensity of effort in learning and encourages students to carry out certain activities related to the process of gaining knowledge. Learning motivation is one aspect that influences a student's academic achievement. Academic achievement is the result of the learning process as a measure of the quality and quantity of knowledge that students have mastered. Optimal learning outcomes are greatly influenced by various components in teaching and learning, in including lecturer interpersonal communication. This research aims to determine the influence of lecturers' interpersonal communication on students' learning motivation and academic achievement at the Jinarakkhita Buddhist College. This research uses a quantitative approach with correlational methods. Research data is collected using a questionnaire, then the data will be processed and analyzed descriptively. The theoretical basis used is the theory of self-disclosure (Self Disclosure Theory), proposed by Sydney Marshall Jourad. The research results show that interpersonal communication between lecturers and students has an effect on learning motivation by 49.4% with a regression coefficient of 0.469 and a constant of 18.644. Meanwhile, for the academic achievement variable, 32.3% is influenced by lecturer interpersonal communication and the rest is influenced by other factors. Temporary communication lecturer interpersonal influential in a way significant and positive to motivation learning and achievement academic student amounting to 24.4%.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze how intrapersonal communication plays a role in increasing students' emotional intelligence. Intrapersonal communication, which involves internal dialogue and understanding oneself, is considered an important element in the development of emotional intelligence. This research uses a qualitative research approach with a case study method carried out by conducting interviews and involving students at a private university. Data was collected through in-depth interviews which were used to collect data from informants selected purposively, namely students from 3 study programs at this private university, observations were also carried out to obtain information regarding communication carried out and interactions between students, and questionnaires to collect data and analyze complex phenomena in appropriate contexts. The research results show that students who have good intrapersonal communication skills tend to have higher emotional intelligence, which is reflected in their ability to manage emotions, empathize, and build positive intrapersonal relationships.

Abstract

Intrapersonal communication, or communication with oneself, is the foundation for effective communication with others.The concept of intrapersonal communication is based on the understanding that communication occurs not only between individuals, but also within oneself. This concept relates to the understanding that individuals have complex internal processes in communicating with themselves, which influence the way they communicate with others. Intrapersonal communication is a communication process that occurs within an individual. It involves using language and thought to understand oneself, manage emotions, and make decisions. Understanding yourself aims to direct yourself to be able to interact with other people in communicating to improve the quality of your self-concept, because communication will have good understanding if it starts from within yourself. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method conducted in Kubu Liku Jaya village, West Lampung Regency, Lampung Province, and aims to find out whether there is and how big the influence of intrapersonal communication is Regarding the Self-Concept of Karang Taruna Youth in Kubu Liku Jaya Village, West Lampung Regency. The research results show thatSelf-Concept is related to increasing intrapersonal communication, this can be seen from the coefficient of determination value of 0.681 so that the diversity in Self-Concept contributes 68.1%. Meanwhile, 31.9% is influenced by other factors outside intrapersonal communicationnot examined in this study. ABSTRAKKomunikasi intrapersonal, atau komunikasi dengan diri sendiri, merupakan fondasi bagi komunikasi yang efektif dengan orang lain. Konsep komunikasi intrapersonal didasarkan pada pemahaman bahwa komunikasi tidak hanya terjadi antara individu-individu, tetapi juga dalam diri sendiri. Konsep ini berkaitan dengan pemahaman bahwa individu memiliki proses internal yang kompleks dalam berkomunikasi dengan diri sendiri, yang mempengaruhi cara mereka berkomunikasi dengan orang lain. Komunikasi intrapersonal adalah proses komunikasi yang terjadi dalam diri individu. Ini melibatkan penggunaan bahasa dan pikiran untuk memahami diri sendiri, mengelola emosi, dan membuat keputusan. Memahami diri sendiri bertujuan untuk mengarahkan diri agar mampu berinteraksi dengan orang lain dalam berkomunikasi meningkatkan kualitas konsep diri, sebab komunikasi akan memiliki pengertian yang baik jika diawali dari dalam diri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei yang dilakukan di desa Kubu Liku Jaya Kabupaten Lampung Barat Provinsi Lampung, dan bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada dan seberapa besar pengaruh komunikasi intrapersonal Terhadap Konsep Diri Pemuda Karang Taruna di Desa Kubu Liku Jaya Kabupaten Lampung Barat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Konsep Diri memiliki kaitan dengan peningkatan komunikasi intrapersonal, hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari nilai koefesien determinasi sebesar 0,681 sehingga keragaman yang ada pada Konsep Diri dengan kontribusi sebesar 68,1%. Sedangkan 31,9% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain diluar Komunikasi Intrapersonal yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

In the 21st century era of globalization, students are faced with the challenge of becoming adaptive and competitive individuals. Student Management Skills Training (LKMM) plays an important role in equipping students with managerial skills and effective communication. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature analysis design to explore the influence of LKMM on communication effectiveness in student organizations. The results showed that the training not only improved students' communication skills, but also strengthened their managerial and strategic decision-making skills. LKMM helps students understand the organizational structure, increases self-confidence, and encourages active involvement in the organization. Thus, LKMM contributes significantly to the effectiveness of student organizations, creating a more productive and collaborative environment.

Abstract

This research explores Buddhist values as a Buddhistic heritage that highlights inclusiveism, pluralism, and universalism, as well as beliefs in dharmakaya, in response to the challenges of modern times. The research method used is qualitative by adopting a library study approach, by collecting primary and secondary information from various sources such as books, articles, and the Internet. Analysis suggests that acceptance of Buddhist values can provide significant benefits to individuals and contemporary societies, including improved spiritual and emotional well-being. Practices of compassion, social harmony, and simplicity in everyday life are thought to strengthen human relationships and shape more sustainable societies. The promotion of Buddhist values is seen as becoming increasingly important in building a more powerful, harmonious, and cultural society.

Abstract

Public speaking adalah keterampilan penting yang dapat meningkatkan rasa percaya diri dan kemampuan berkomunikasi seseorang. Dalam konteks ibu-ibu anggota (WBI) Lampung Timur, banyak yang merasa kurang percaya diri berbicara di depan umum meskipun mereka memiliki peran penting dalam kegiatan sosial dan keagamaan. Untuk mengatasi hambatan ini, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat bertema "Membangun Percaya Diri melalui Public speaking" dirancang untuk memberdayakan mereka melalui pelatihan terstruktur. Metode pre-test dan post-test digunakan untuk mengukur peningkatan rasa percaya diri peserta sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan. Alur penelitian mencakup identifikasi masalah, pelaksanaan pelatihan, dan evaluasi hasil. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada keterampilan dan kepercayaan diri peserta, sehingga diharapkan mampu mendukung peran mereka dalam komunitas. Artikel ini membahas secara mendalam pendekatan, hasil, dan dampak kegiatan ini.
