Abstract

The role of parents is inseparable from the participation or cooperation between the mother and the family (husband) and other family members. An obstacle that is still found in the care of postpartum mothers is the assumption that postpartum mothers are sick mothers, their mobilization is inhibited, the type of food is restricted, the provision of colostrum breast milk is inhibited so that the needs of postpartum mothers are prioritized for full rest. The involvement of extended families in the care of babies has so far been misinterpreted, where the care of babies is left to other family members. After efforts to improve the behavior of postpartum mothers through Family Centered Maternity Care (FCMC) education, it is hoped that postpartum mothers can carry out postpartum care by involving the family. Implementation method with demonstration and discussion. The media used are baby phantoms, postpartum care booklets, LCDs, Laptops, and Projectors. The implementation of health education is carried out by visiting the home of postpartum mothers. The result of community service is that 90% of postpartum mothers can do postpartum care with family involvement. As well as from the results of monitoring and evaluation by way of meeting again by conducting home visits (home care) to postpartum mothers using instruments related to postpartum care. Based on the implementation of community service, it can be concluded that there is an increase in the behavior of postpartum mothers in postpartum care.

Abstract

Background: Anemia is a major health concern among adolescents, particularly females, and is closely linked to prolonged menstrual bleeding, insufficient knowledge about anemia, and poor compliance with iron supplementation programs. These factors contribute significantly to the high prevalence of anemia, which can lead to decreased physical performance, impaired cognitive function, and reproductive health complications in later life. Purpose: This study aims to analyze the relationship between menstrual duration, level of knowledge about anemia, and compliance with the consumption of blood supplement tablets on the prevalence of anemia in adolescents. Methods: The research uses quantitative methods with a correlational analytical research design with a cross sectional approach. The population and sample in this research were 30 female students. Bivariate data analysis used the chi-square test with the help of SPSS 26. Results: The research results show that there is a relationship between Menstrual Length and Anemia in young women at SMA Negri 1 Kediri, (p value=0.023), there is a relationship between Knowledge and Anemia in young wo/men at SMA Negri 1 Kediri (p value = 0.042) and there is a relationship between compliance with blood supplement consumption and anemia in young women at SMA Negri 1 Kediri x (p value=0.023). Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that menstrual duration, level of knowledge about anemia, and compliance with the consumption of iron supplement tablets are significant factors influencing the prevalence of anemia among adolescent girls. Among these, compliance with iron tablet consumption emerged as the most dominant factor, suggesting that behavioral aspects play a crucial role in anemia prevention. Additionally, limited knowledge about anemia and prolonged menstrual duration were also associated with a higher risk of anemia. These findings highlight the need for comprehensive health education programs that not only increase awareness about anemia but also promote consistent intake of iron supplements, particularly among adolescents. Effective interventions should prioritize improving knowledge and fostering positive health behaviors to reduce the incidence of anemia and support the overall well-being of young women.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has significantly affected various aspects of life, including reproductive health and family planning. One innovative approach in this area is the development of mobile apps specifically designed to help couples of childbearing age access accurate, practical, and easy-to-use information. This community service program is implemented to strengthen knowledge, attitudes, and practices related to reproductive health through the use of a mobile app that integrates three important features: a fertility calculator, a contraceptive method guide, and interactive discussions. The fertility calculator allows users to monitor the menstrual cycle, determine fertile and infertile periods, and support pregnancy planning and prevention of unwanted pregnancies. This contraceptive guide provides comprehensive information about the various methods available, including hormonal and non-hormonal options, along with their benefits, side effects, and suitability for a variety of health conditions. Discussion forums create a safe platform for couples to share experiences, ask questions, and receive support from peers and healthcare professionals. Together, these features are expected to increase users' confidence and independence in making decisions. This program uses a community approach, Participatory Learning and Action  (PLA) model. A total of 25 couples of childbearing age participated in this program. The results showed a significant increase in participant knowledge, with the average score increasing from 55.2% before the intervention to 82.4% after the intervention. In conclusion, the use of mobile applications in reproductive health education and family planning has been shown to be effective
