Abstract

Horticultural vegetables are one of the commodities that are widely cultivated in the tropics. The information is tried to be applied in the implementation of the Collaborative Social Building Community (KOSABANGSA) 2023 program. The purpose of this kosabangsa program is to determine the level of understanding of farmers on the cultivation system of horticultural vegetables. The method of service in the 2023 Kosabangsa program activities was carried out observatively and kuesioenr sharing conducting direct counseling in Wonopringgo Village, Pekalongan. The results of identifying the impact of this service showed that there was a very significant increase in farmers' understanding (50% increase by farmers) regarding horticultural vegetable cultivation. In addition, there was also an increase in knowledge by farmers about the types of horticultural vegetable commodities. From the original only 22 farmers who understood about horticultural vegetable commodities, after the extension there were 27 farmers who understood. The most noticeable impact is the increase in farmers' understanding of the horticultural vegetable cultivation system on critical agricultural land. This is evidenced from the beginning (before counseling) only 5 farmers who understand, but after counseling increased drastically to 26 farmers. Farmers also feel that this extension activity provides great benefits for them, so this program is very worthy of being developed further. The conclusion from the results of this service is that the majority of farmers in Wonopringgo village really understand the concept of horticultural vegetable cultivation which can be implemented on marginal land with various types of suitable vegetable commodities.

Abstract

Air Conditioner (AC) merupakan peralatan listrik pada bangunan dengan tingkat konsumsi energi paling tinggi, sekitar 70%. Tingginya konsumsi energi AC ini selain karena kebutuhan akan tingkat kenyamanann juga disebabkan oleh penggunaan yang tidak tepat, seperti seting suhu terlalu rendah dan lupa mematikan peralatan saat tidak digunakan. Makalah ini menyajikan rancangan perangkat node kendali berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) untuk mengendalikan operasi AC secara otomatis dalam menjaga suhu nyaman ruangan saat terdapat kehadiran dan mengurangi utilisasi energi listrik melalui strategi pengendalian AC yang berbeda. Rancangan node kendali menggunakan nodeMCU ESP8266 sebagai perangkat pengolah data, sensor suhu DHT22 dan sensor kehadiran LD2410 untuk memantau kondisi ruangan serta transmitter Infrared untuk mengirimkan sinyal perintah kendali ke AC. Pengujian rancangan menunjukkan sensor suhu membaca suhu ruangan dengan eror pengukuran 1.1% sedangkan sensor kehadiran mampu mendeteksi kehadiran hingga jarak 5m dan radius 60°. Sementara itu jarak jangkauan transmitter infrared sampai dengan 5m dan radius 50°. Perangkat yang dirancang juga mengendalikan operasi AC dengan baik berdasar skenario pengendalian yang direncanakan dengan memperhatikan kehadiran dan suhu ruangan. Perangkat kendali menjaga suhu ruangan pada batas suhu ruangan yang ditetapkan ketika terdapat kehadiran. Sedangkan pada kondisi tidak ada kehadiran, perangkat secara otomatis mematikan AC. Air Conditioners (AC) are electrical equipment in buildings with the highest energy consumption, around 70%. The high energy consumption of AC is not only due to the need for comfort but also due to improper use, such as setting the temperature too low and forgetting to turn off the equipment when not in use. This paper presented the design of an Internet of Things (IoT) based control node device to automatically control AC operations in maintaining a comfortable room temperature when there is a presence and reducing electricity consumption through different AC control strategies. The design of the control node used the ESP8266 nodeMCU as a data processing device, a DHT22 temperature sensor, an LD2410 presence sensor to monitor room conditions, and an infrared transmitter to send control command signals to the AC. The device test results showed that the DHT22 sensor read the room temperature with a measurement error of 1.1% while the presence sensor detected presence up to a distance of 5m and 60 degree radius. Then the range of the infrared transmitter was up to 5m and 50 degree radius. The device also controlled AC operations well based on the planned control scenario by considering the presence and room temperature. It maintained the room temperature at the set room temperature limits when there was a presence. While in the absence of presence, the device automatically turned off the AC.
