Abstract

This study aims to agihan the landslide hazard of Jenelata watershed, Jeneberang Sub-watershed, Gowa Regency. This type of research is quantitative research with a descriptive approach. Using the land unit analysis results of the overlay of two maps, namely the slope map, land shape, soil type and land use, so that 41 units of land were obtained. The sampling technique used in this study is based on land units. Sampling was carried out in nine land units which were the result of overlays from the land slope map and soil type map. The results showed that the Jenelata watershed sub-Jeneberang watershed Guat Kabuaten is a moderate level of vulnerability that is divided in each village, in part in pattallikang village, partly in Bontomanai village, part in mangempang village, part in tassese village, part in Jenebatu village sicini village, partly in parang lompoa village, partly in sapaya village, and paladingang. The level of landslide hazard of Das Jenelata Sub-Jeneberang sub-watershed is dominated by moderate danger level with a total score of 2.34 - 3.67. Jenelata Watershed Sub Das Jeneberang Gowa Kabuaten for its longitudinal vulnerability level is divided into two areas, namely low and medium areas.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the characteristics of the land and determine land suitability for pepper (Piper Nigrum Linn) in Kindang District, Kab. Bulukumba. The type of this research is descriptive quantitative research by using survey method of soil observation. In this study, using purposive sampling data collection techniques on eleven land units by taking samples of undisturbed soil. The results of this study indicate the characteristics of the land in the research location, namely wet climate; medium temperature ; availability of water and high rainfall; good drainage; the dominant texture class is smooth and slightly fine; medium coarse fraction; good effective depth; high clay CEC value; medium base saturation; non sodic alkalinity; erosion hazard levels that range from very low to very severe; no flood hazard; and medium land preparation. The actual land suitability class) consists of: class S2 (fairly suitable) covering an area of 36.5 km2, class S3 (marginally appropriate) covering an area of 52.6 km2 class N (not suitable) covering an area of 54,3 km2.

Abstract

Bamboo petung Makassar Bulo Pattung (Dendrocalamus Asper) in the Hulu Jeneberang watershed can be found in several villages such as, in Topidi, Jo'jo Batara, Panaikang, and Parangkeke in Tinggimoncong sub-district, in Lengkese hamlet Bawakaraeng, Raulo, Bangkeng Tabbing, Pattiro, Majannang , Bontopanno, Bilanrengi, in Parigi sub-district, Gowa district. Management of bulo pattung plants in the Hulu Jeneberang watershed. Bulo Pattung, which has typical highland bambuo plants, occupies ideal land in terrain with elevations above 1,000 meters above sea level, which is very necessary to reduce the threat of surface erosion and landslides. This research aims to 1) Assess the suitability of the Bulo Pattung land in the Hulu Jeneberang watershed based on physical environmental parameters; 2) Make conservation directions for the Bulo Pattung plant. Determination of land suitability based on unit maps, which are derived from maps: land use, slope, soil, land form. Soil sampling, in land units. Physical environmental parameters include; temperature, water availability, rooting media, nutrient retention, salinity, toxicity, available nutrients, ease of processing, and terrain, field parameters taken when taking soil samples. Soil sample analysis is tested in the laboratory. Next, the suitability analysis is carried out. The results of the research show: 1) There is land suitability for conservation, namely S1 (Very Suitable), 2) Directions for land conservation based on land suitability derived from factors that limit land suitability, are recommended in land units with cliffs and steep slopes.

Abstract

Sekolah merupakan salah satu tempat yang sangat berperan dalam menerapkan pendidikan karakter. Anak-anak yang sekolah sebagian besar menghabiskan waktunya di sekolah, sehingga apa yang didapatkan disekolah akan mempengaruhi karakternya. Banyak kegiatan yang bisa dikembangkan dalam rangka penerapan pendidikan karakter. Kegiatan PKM ini akan memadukan metode ceramah, diskusi dan pelatihan yang dilaksanakan di di SMA Negeri 9 Polut Kabupaten Takalar. Hasil peneleitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang menjadi kendala pembudayaan sikap peduli lingkungan meliputi faktor lingkungan dan faktor hubungan anak dengan masyarakat. Untuk membiasakan anak selalu peduli terhadap lingkungan perlu pendidikan karakter ini dimulai dari lingkungan keluarga, sekolah dan masyarakat. Dengan pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan ini anak mempunyai bekal pengetahuan tentang pentingnya menjaga lingkungan agar anak menjadi manusia yang sehat jasmani dan rohani.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui luasan tingkat kesesuaian lahan aktual tanaman jahe gajah (zingebel officinale rosc). Ditemutunjukkan melalui evaluasi kesesuaian lahan dengan pendekatan satuanlahan (tumpangsusun peta penggunaan lahan, peta tanah, peta lereng, dan peta bentuklahan) menggunakan metode stratified random sample. Pengambilan contoh tanah dititik sampel, analisis data menggunakan metode matching. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik lahan bervariasi, beriklim basah; suhu udara berada pada 26,6°C; ketersediaan air sedang; media perakaran untuk drainase tanah mulai dari baik-agak terhambat; tekstur tanah dari lempung berdebu sampai liat; kedalaman efektif sedang sampai dalam; retensi hara untuk KTK tanah sedang sampai tinggi; pH tanah dari sangat asam sampai asam; kejenuhan basa dari 26 sampai 30; C-Organik sangat rendah-sedang; hara tersedia P2O5 (P tersedia) sedang sampai tinggi; K2O rendah sampai sedang; N-total 0,07 sampai 0,12% (rendah); potensi mekanismee untuk lereng dari datar, landai, agak landai, curam dan sangat curam; singkapan batuan tidak ada sampai sedang; batuan permukaan mulai dari tidak ada hingga banyak; dan bahaya erosi dari tidak ada sampai ada.   Kesesuaian lahan tanaman Jahe Gajah berada pada kelas kesesuaian lahan ada 4 sangat sesuai (S1), cukup sesuai (S2), sesuai marginal (S3). Agihan kesesuaian lahan untuk tanaman Jahe  Gajah di Kecamatan Libureng diperoleh bahwa kesesuaian lahan S1 luasan lahan 4061,92 Ha. Kelas S2 (cukup sesuai) luasan lahan 23174,14 Ha. S3 (sesuai marginal) luasan lahan 5315,54Ha

Abstract

The application of the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) on multispectral satellite imagery has been extensively used to assess the quantitative and qualitative aspects of mangrove vegetation. However, the use of Sentinel-2 imagery for this purpose is still relatively new. This research aims to monitor the distribution and density of mangrove vegetation in West Sulawesi by implementing NDVI transformation on Sentinel-2 imagery. The mangrove forest in Mamuju Regency, located in West Sulawesi, is one of the rich areas of mangrove forests on the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia. However, this region also exhibits disturbances in the mangrove ecosystem, resulting in limited monitoring efforts. By utilizing NDVI transformation, we identified the distribution and density of mangrove vegetation using Sentinel-2 imagery. The accuracy of image classification was evaluated using the confusion matrix method, and further analysis was conducted using linear regression to test the relationship between NDVI and mangrove density values obtained from field surveys. The results indicate that the total area of the mangrove forest reaches 1,798 hectares distributed along the coastal areas in the districts of Sampaga, Papalang, Kalukku, Mamuju, Simboro, Tapalang Barat, and Tapalang. Nearly 60% of this area has high mangrove density, while approximately 7% to 9% falls into the low and lowest density categories. NDVI values range from 0.06 to 0.81, with the highest value found in the Mamuju District and the lowest in the Papalang District. The correlation between NDVI and mangrove density shows a strong positive relationship (R=0.78). Therefore, Sentinel-2 imagery demonstrates high accuracy and potential for the development of predictive models for mangrove vegetation density. These findings have significant implications for the development of conservation policies and environmental management, as well as raising public awareness of the importance of preserving mangrove forests.

Abstract

Bencana banjir terjadi setiap tahun di Kecamatan Tanah Grogot, besarnya kerugian dan kerusakan yang dapat ditimbulkan maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kerawanan banjir dan agihan daerah rawan banjir. Menggunakan metode analisis  spasial dengan overlay (peta topografi, peta penggunaan lahan, peta buffer sungai, peta lereng, peta  tanah, dan peta curah hujan), dan skoring. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga kelas tingkat kerawanan banjir yaitu: tidak rawan banjir dengan luas 8811,59 Ha (24,42%), rawan banjir dengan luas 17378,98 Ha (48,16%), dan sangat rawan banjir dengan luas 9898,98 Ha (27,43%). Agihan daerah rawan banjir terletak di seluruh desa dan kelurahan dengan luas yang berbeda-beda, hampir keseluruhan wilayah dari Kelurahan Tanah Grogot, Desa Sungai Tuak dan Desa Senaken masuk dalam kelas  sangat rawan banjir, dan lebih dari setengah wilayah Desa Muara Pasir masuk dalam kelas sangat rawan banjir. Sedangkan untuk desa lainnya kelas sangat rawan banjir tersebar di beberapa titik dengan luasan yang kecil. Daerah yang tidak rawan banjir yaitu Desa Pulau Rantau dan Desa Rantau Panjang.

Abstract

ABSTRACTLandslides are events caused natural or non-natural factor, or human factors and human actions, which threaten or disrupt life, resulting in material damage, enviromental damage and even causing loss of life. This study aims to (1) Describe the land in Cenrana District, Maros Regency (2) Know about the causes of land landslides in Cenrana District, Maros Regency and (3) Know about the distribution and level of landslide hazard in Cenrana District, Maros Regency. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. With five variables used, namely rainfall, slope, land use, rock type and soil type. The data collection technique in this research is a direct survey technique in the field and documentation. Data analysis in this research is a cartographic technique, namely by overlaying several thematic maps.The results of the research show that in the map of the level of landslide susceptibility in Cenrana District, Maros Regency there are 4th classes of vulnerability produced by the results of map overlay analysis in Cenrana District. It can be seen in table 4.6 that the low level of landslide susceptibility has an area of441.29 Ha or 2.12%, level medium landslide prone has an area of 9.128 Ha or 43.78%, high landslide prone has an area of 11.229,31 Ha or 53.85%, while very high landslide prone has an area of 52.80 or 0.25%.

Abstract

Extreme weather significantly impacts the socio-economic conditions of fishing communities, prompting the need for adaptive strategies to meet economic needs. This study explores the survival strategies of labor fishermen in Lombang-Lombang, Sinyonyoi Village, Mamuju Regency, particularly during non-fishing periods due to adverse weather. Through surveys and interviews, data were gathered from 20 fishing household heads, known locally as nakeke pa'bagang, focusing on socio-economic aspects and adaptive strategies. Findings reveal economic vulnerability among fishermen who rely on diversified employment and frugal consumption as survival strategies. Most fishermen are of productive age, but limited education restricts stable employment access. Economically, alternative income during non-fishing periods is inadequate for basic needs, especially for larger families. Family involvement in informal work and careful spending are key resilience strategies. The study recommends skills training and entrepreneurship programs to enhance economic resilience during non-fishing seasons and adverse weather conditions.AbstrakCuaca ekstrem berdampak signifikan pada kondisi sosial-ekonomi komunitas nelayan, sehingga diperlukan strategi adaptif untuk memenuhi kebutuhan ekonomi mereka. Penelitian ini mengkaji strategi bertahan hidup nelayan buruh di Lombang-Lombang, Desa Sinyonyoi, Kabupaten Mamuju, terutama pada saat tidak melaut akibat cuaca buruk. Fokus penelitian adalah pada aspek sosial-ekonomi serta metode adaptasi, dengan data dikumpulkan dari 20 kepala keluarga nelayan, atau nakeke pa'bagang, melalui survei dan wawancara. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa nelayan mengalami kerentanan ekonomi, sehingga memanfaatkan pekerjaan alternatif dan penghematan konsumsi sebagai upaya bertahan. Mayoritas nelayan berada pada usia produktif, namun keterbatasan pendidikan membatasi akses mereka pada pekerjaan stabil. Pendapatan dari pekerjaan alternatif selama periode tidak melaut belum mencukupi kebutuhan dasar, terutama bagi keluarga besar. Studi ini merekomendasikan pelatihan keterampilan dan program kewirausahaan untuk meningkatkan ketahanan ekonomi nelayan saat tidak melaut atau saat cuaca buruk.
