Abstract

Toinaman Hamlet is located on Moa Island, the condition of the hamlet is remote, limited infrastructure, minimal access to basic services and is an isolated hamlet.  Most of the residents in this hamlet are very dependent on the weather and natural products to survive. When natural conditions are unfavorable, such as storms, drought or rough seas, their source of livelihood is significantly disrupted. This of course greatly affects the ability of local hamlet communities to be able to meet their nutritional food needs, especially to fulfill their children's nutrition. Fulfilling nutrition for children in rural areas often faces its own challenges, especially related to access to a variety of nutritious foods. Some common problems include limited food ingredients, traditional diets that may lack diversity, and limited knowledge about nutrition. One source of nutritious food that is important for health is beef.  Beef is a good source of protein for children because it contains many important nutrients such as iron, zinc and vitamin B12, all of which support their growth and development. The PKM activity carried out is in the form of providing nutritious food in the form of processed beef to the children of Toinaman Hamlet, Moa Island. The aim is to improve the nutrition of the hamlet children, prevent malnutrition and nutritional deficiencies and support the growth and development of the children of Toinaman Hamlet, Moa Island. The food products provided are food products made from beef, namely rendang products

Abstract

Indonesia, as a developing country, generally has more people who are active or work primarily as farmers with middle to lower family economic status and low levels of knowledge. In particular, knowledge of the importance of daily nutritional needs is not very good. Increasing knowledge of daily nutritional needs is very necessary in order to make people aware of the importance of adequate nutrition for the development of the next generation. Various nutritional sources that can be used to increase nutritional intake, and have relatively cheap prices and can be reached by all groups. It is common knowledge that livestock products have complete nutritional content and high levels of nutrition. Among the livestock products that have quite high quality at affordable prices are eggs. Eggs can be used as a complementary source of nutrition, because eggs are an animal product that is rich in nutrients and easily digested by the human body. This community service is carried out in high school with the target of students so that they gain knowledge regarding the importance of nutritional needs for their physical and non-physical development. The results of implementing community service at SMK N 7 Southwest Maluku school went well in accordance with the strategy that had been prepared by the service team. The implementation of community service is generally divided into four sessions, namely the pretest session, the session providing service materials, the posttest session, and the awarding session.

Abstract

Kabupaten Maluku Barat Daya merupakan daerah yang terdapat di Provinsi Maluku, Kabupaten MBD memiliki potensi ternak kerbau yang sangat besar, populasi ternak kerbau dari tahun 2018,2019 dan 2020 adalah 10.720,10.453 dan 10.531 (BPS Kabupaten MBD, 2020). Pada tahun 2011 Kerbau Moa telah ditetapkan sebagai salah satu rumpun ternak asli Indonesia asal Maluku. Melihat potensi kerbau moa yang begitu besar maka perlu untuk terus dikembangkan tetapi harus didukung oleh pakan yang baik, Rendahnya produktivitas kerbau dipulau Moa disebabkan karena faktor nutrisi yang terkandung didalam pakan. Nutrisi dalam pakan sangat berpengaruh terhadap produktifitas ternak kerbau di pulau Moa. Oleh kerena itu, manipulasi nutrisi pakan akan sangat menentukan hasil akhir dari produktifitas. Fermentasi pakan komplet berbasis hijauan pakan sebagai pakan ternak kerbau dapat diterapkan, baik dalam skala usaha kecil maupun skala usaha besar. Teknologi pakan komplet dapat menjadi solusi atas persoalan kualitas dan stok pakan. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang dihadapi peternak, maka penelitian ini dilakukan untuk membantu menyelesaikan permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh peternak kerbau dipulau Moa Kab Maluku Barat Daya.

Abstract

The objective of the study was to find out how supplementary Reading Materials Based on Tourism Place For Junior High School Students in Southwestern Maluku. The Literature study was carried out Lack of students’ understanding affect their activities for reading materials in classroom activity. Based on the researcher did observation at Junior High School Students, as result, the problem to the students’ in learning reading material. Lack of reading Materials made their students lowest in reading. When the teacher supplementary reading Materials Based on Tourism Place. The result of reading material has developed into three units which enable the students consisting of new vocabulary, and exercises. Meanwhile the result reading Materials Based on Tourism Place got positive input for students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas fisik susu kerbau yang diawetkan secara tradisional menggunakan getah daun aileru (Wrightia calicyna) di Pulau Moa, Kabupaten Maluku Barat Daya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan menggunakan rancangan dasar acak lengkap dengan pola faktorial 4 x 3 dengan dua faktor perlakuan. Faktor pertama adalah konsentrasi ekstrak daun aileru (0%, 5%, 10%, 15%) dan faktor kedua adalah lama penyimpanan (5 menit, 10 menit, 15 menit). Parameter yang diamati meliputi aroma, kekentalan, pH, rasa, dan warna susu fermentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan ekstrak daun aileru dan lama penyimpanan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kualitas fisik susu, terutama pada parameter kekentalan, pH, rasa, dan warna, namun tidak pada aroma. Konsentrasi 15% dan lama penyimpanan 5 sampai 10 menit merupakan perlakuan terbaik untuk menghasilkan kualitas fisik susu kerbau awetan yang memberikan hasil yang maksimal. Ekstrak daun aileru yang kaya akan senyawa fenol dan asam alami terbukti mampu memengaruhi karakteristik fisik susu kerbau secara positif dan memperpanjang masa simpannya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat perilaku wirausaha peternak ayam broiler dan tingkat kinerja peternak peternak ayam broiler di kota Tiakur Kabupaten Maluku Barat Daya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey. penentuan sampel pada penelitian ini dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Sedangkan Metode pengambilan sampel Responden dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik bola salju (snowball sampling) yang ditentukan dengan sengaja, dengan jumlah responden yaitu 10 responden. Tingkat perilaku wirausaha peternak ayam broiler di Kelurahan Tiakur berada dalam kategori tinggi. skor rata-rata total sebesar 4,05. sebagian besar peternak memiliki karakteristik wirausaha yang cukup kuat, yang berpotensi berkontribusi positif terhadap kinerja usaha mereka. Kinerja peternak ayam broiler di Kelurahan Tiakur masuk dalam kategori cukup baik, disertai dengan potensi peningkatan akses terhadap pelatihan manajemen usaha diperkuat, bantuan modal atau subsidi pakan tersedia, dan jaringan pemasaran lebih terbuka.
