This research aims to analyze readers' understanding of the conflicts/plot found in the novel "Dikta dan Hukum," as well as readers' responses to the visualizations used in the novel to assess the aesthetic distance and zeitgeist of the readers. This research employs qualitative phenomenological research. The results of the analysis indicate that readers' responses are influenced by various factors, including aesthetic distance and the zeitgeist they experience. Diverse responses to the conflicts and plot in the novel reflect readers' varied perspectives on the quality of literary works. The use of character visualizations, such as Doyoung as Dikta, also becomes a point of evaluation for readers, with differing opinions on the suitability of these characters with the desired image of Dikta. This research reveals that readers provide complex and varied responses to literary works, influenced by their personal experiences, preferences, and cultural contexts. Thus, this study provides valuable insights into the interaction between readers and literary works, as well as the factors that influence their judgments of a work.

This research aims to analyze the meaning of sense in the poetry book Ada Berita Apa Hari, Den Sastro? by Sapardi Djoko Damono which is studied using Paul Ricoeur's hermeneutic theory. This research is descriptive qualitative. The results of this study are, The first poem describes a sense of loneliness, the second poem describes two people who are disappointed and then decide to end their relationship. The next poem means someone who tries to survive the trials of life. Next, it describes the feeling of guessing about something. The next poem means that everything has been destined according to its own portion and also means to rise from suffering. The results of the interpretation of the meaning of sense contain many meanings of life that occur in society, namely a sense of loneliness, disappointment, regret, strength to undergo life trials and suffering.

This research aims to describe the struggle of the female character in the novel Aku Lupa Bahwa Aku Perempuan by Ihsan Abdul Quddus which is studied using existentialist feminist theory. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The data source in this research is the novel entitled Aku Lupa Bahwa Aku Perempuan by Ihsan Abdul Quddus which was published by Alvabet in 2012 in Jakarta. The results of this research show that the female character Suad struggles to develop her career and demonstrate her existence. There are two strategies that women can use to achieve existence, including working women and intellectual women. Women can work, the female character Suad is serious about obtaining her rights in pursuing a career and success in terms of work and building relationships with many people to support the career she wants to achieve, and has a full sense of responsibility as a career woman. Division and Alienation of Indigenous Communities in A Collection Short Story “Semua Untuk Hindia” by Iksaka Banu. This study aims to describe the impact of racial ethnocentrism the form of division and alienation on indigenous peoples in a collection of short stories Semua untuk Hindia by Iksaka Banu. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Sources of research data were obtained from a collection of short stories, Semua untuk Hindia by Iksaka Banu. Data collection is done by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results of this study reveal the impact of racial ethnocentrism in a collection of short stories including division, in which indigenous people are grouped according to the standards applied by Europeans. Next is alienation, which is indicated by the alienation due to cultural and racial disparities between Europeans and the natives.

Hypograms in Sajak Liar Poetry on Social Media Instagram: Overview of Rifaterre Semiotics. This study aims to describe the data that includes the potential and actual hypograms, in other words, to describe the origin of the texts in several poems in the Sajak Liar poetry account. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The results of the research on Sajak Liar poetry show that there are several circumstances behind the writing of the selected work as well as different implications of several lines of several poems that show actual evidence of the poetry. This study aims to describe the form of code contained in Toraja folklore comics using Roland Barthes' semiotic theory. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study state that there are five code systems in Toraja folklore comics. The gnomic code states several cultural codes found in the Toraja tribe, the hermeneutic code states the problem solving performed by the characters in the story, the semik code states that the characters in comics give masculine attitudes in dealing with problems, the symbolic code states problem solving according to their respective cultures, while the pro-aetic code states attitudes that imply human behavior, both positive and negative attitudes.

The purpose of this study was to examine the comparative responses of male and female students to the short story collection Kitab Kawin using the Hans Robert Jauss literary reception study which focuses on the horizon of expectations and the spirit of the times of readers. The method used in this study is to use a qualitative research type. Questionnaire and interview techniques were used to collect data from male students in the form of responses to the short story Kitab Kawin. The results of the study showed that there were differences in the responses of male and female students in reading the short story Kitab Kawin in terms of the horizon of expectations and the spirit of the times of readers, the suitability of the horizon of expectations and the spirit of the times of female students was the most compared to male students. This happened because several factors influenced the horizon of readers' expectations, namely the reader's experience, the reader's interest in what they read was different, the reader's social environment, life experiences, psychological differences between men and women.

The purpose of this research is to depict the struggles of women in the short story collection Parade yang Tak Pernah Usai. This research is descriptive qualitative in nature. The data collection techniques used are observation and documentation, applying reading and note-taking methods. The study involves identifying, clarifying, interpreting, and describing the struggles of women in the short story collection Parade yang Tak Pernah Usai based on the Liberal Feminism theory of Naomi Wolf. The research findings indicate that the author highlights the struggles of female characters to achieve equal roles, the right to determine their own fate, to express their experiences, and to receive anything without exception, just like men.
