Abstract

The problem faced is the lack of student interest; this is because biology subjects make students easily bored and assume biology is one of the difficult subjects. At the time of observation the teacher is more dominant in the learning process, so students' creativity is lacking. Learning models are needed that are appropriate learning models so as to be able to increase student creativity in sparking ideas, answers, solving problems or questions, skills in seeing problems from different points of view, the ability to give birth to new and unique expressions and able to improve students' abilities in terms of skills or develop students' ideas in the learning process. This type of research is classroom action research with a Number Head Together (NHT) type of cooperative learning model. The results of the first cycle students' creativity test results 78.94% while in the second cycle increased 5.27% with a percentage of 84.21%, the results of observations on students in the first cycle showed the results of 65.27% experienced an increase of 10.45% in the cycle II with the results of a percentage of 75.72% and the results of observations of the activities of teachers in the first cycle obtained 72% in the second cycle increased by 16% to 88%. From this study it was concluded that through the Number Head Together (NHT) learning model can increase creativity Grade XI student MIA 2 MAN Siabu.Keywords: Creativity, Number Head Together, Classroom Action Research

Abstract

This study to design, construct and test the feasibility of the learning media useCamtasia Studio 8 and to get information whether by developing learning media of chemistry practicum using Camtasia Studio 8 more effectively and efficiently. The results of the research are: (1) The process of making media using Camtasia Studio 8 includes identification of competence, scriptwriting, media design, animation making, audio making, program testing techniques, expert review, repair, final product. Based on the assessment of media experts, the learning media using Camtasia Studio 8 deserves to be used as a learning video media. (2) The data of the lecturers' lecture in terms of the feasibility aspects of the contents of the first lecturer with a score of 33 and the second lecturer get a score of 27. The language eligibility of the first lecturer score of 31 and the second lecturer get a score of 27. Feasibility of presentation of the first lecturer with a score of 13 and lecturers both received a score of 11. (3) Assessment of the first subject teachers if viewed from the aspect of eligibility of the content with the score obtained 31 as well as from the second subject teachers. The language eligibility of the first subject teacher scores 30, while the second subject teacher scores 27. The eligibility of the presentation of the first and second subject teachers also earns the same score of 13. Abstract

This research was carried outMadrasah Aliyah Nahdatul Ulama Batang Toru years lessons 2015-2016.This type of research is Research Action class (Classroom Action Research) using two cycles of learning. Each cycle starting from the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collecting techniques used is the test of creativity and observation. Data collection tools used is sheet tests the creativity and student activity observation sheet. Based on the results of the research action class that do obtain test results of creativity learning of biology students ranging from cycle to cycle I II was 1872 with an average of 72.0 with thepercentage of completeness (61.5%) and cycle II 2191 with an average completeness percentage with 84.27 (84.62%). Based on the analysis of data obtained the value of the observation activities of students in cycle I of 66.92% and cycle II of 82.30% observation rating and performance teacher at 67.25% of cycle I and cycle II of 92.9%. In cycle II, has experienced an increase of cycle I and already meets the criteria of research indicators of achievement, then this study finalized on cycle II.Keywords:Creativity, Quantum Teaching method, structure and function of plant tissue.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the concept of critical biological thinking which became one of the most important things in the learning process that is through the application of Contextual Teaching Learning Model (CTL). The reason for this research is to know the improvement of critical thinking of student biology through the application of Contextual Learning Model an the material. The human Regulation system in class XI  IPA1 SMA Negeri 1 North Panyabungan academic year 2016-2017. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. Where the subject of study is the students of class XI IPA1 SMA Negeri 1 North Panyabungan consisting of 25 students. While techniques and data collected. Based on the result of critical thinking test of the biology of students cycle I am 76%, and cycle II is 84,33%, and the result of the increase of student activity in the cycle is I is 68% and cyle II 86,40%.Keywords: Critical thinking of student biology, Contextual Learning model (CTL), human regulatory system.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the creation of learning the biology of students is still low in class XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Barumun, less varied learning models. The purpose of this research is to know the enhancement of student biology learning creativity through problem-based learning on tissue material on plants in class XI IPA 2 at SMA Negeri 1 Barumun year 2018-2019 lesson, through learning-based problems, the research approach used in this research is class action research. This research located at SMA Negeri 1 Barumun with the address of the cross-Riau road implemented after the approval letter of this research was issued. The subject is the class XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Barumun While the object is a test of learning creativity of students by using a problem-based learning model on tissue material in plants in class XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Barumun. The results of the creativity test on the I cycle gained an average of 72.25 with a percentage of 56.25% increase in cycle II by an average of 81.93 with compensation of  71.25%. Keywords: Creativity, learning outcomes, problem-based learning Model.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement of critical thinking learning skills, increase in student biology learning activities, improve the management of biology learning through the application of contextual learning models on plantae material in grade X of SMA Muhammadiyah 11 Padangsidimpuan. The validation of the second cycle test above shows that from the questions prepared, 5 questions are invalid and 10 questions are valid according to the calculation. in the first cycle an average score of 74.32 was obtained with the number of students who completed it as many as 18 people and the remaining 7 students were declared incomplete with the applicable KKM score of 75, then the PKK score of the overall learning outcomes of the first cycle was 72.02%. In the second cycle, an average score of 78.4 was obtained with the number of students who completed reaching KKM, namely 75 was 21 people and the remaining 4 people were declared incomplete, obtained by PKK in the second cycle was 84.18% categorized (Very Good).

Abstract

The problem in this study is that the learning process in the classroom is still carried out conventionally, where learning is still dominated by teachers. So far, students learn science only based on the material in the textbook and are very far from the real life of students The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement of student biology learning outcomes through the application of a contextual approach to Cell Reproduction material in class XII of SMA Negeri 6 Padangsidimpuan for the 2021-2022 academic year. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. Where the subject of the study was class XII students of SMA Negeri 6 Padangsidimpuan consisting of 29 students. While data collection techniques and tools are tests and observations. Based on the results of the biology learning outcomes test of cycle I students of 68.9% and cycle II of 82.7%. And the results of an increase in student activity levels in cycle I by 61.7% and in cycle II by 76.3% then an increase in teacher activity in managing learning cycle I by 73.6% and cycle II by 80%.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian  ini  adalah utuk mengetahui peningkatan  berpikir  kritis biologi siswa melalui penerapan model PBL dan untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas belajar biologi siswa melalui penerapan model PBL di kelas X-1 SMA Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat  ditarik  kesimpulan sebagai berikut:  peningkatan  berpikir kritis biologi siswa melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi  pencemaran  lingkungan  di  Kelas  X-1  SMA  Negeri  5  Padangsidimpuan Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024 mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I meningkat pada siklus II dimana termasuk kriteria baik. Hal ini menunjukkan berpikir kritis siswa telah meningkat dan memenuhi indikator keberhasilan sebesar ≥ 80%. Peningkatan aktivitas belajar biologi siswa melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) di kelas X-1 SMA Negeri 5 Padangsidimpuan Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024 mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I  meningkat  pada siklus II dimana termasuk kriteria baik. Hal ini menunjukkan aktivitas belajar biologi siswa telah meningkat dan memenuhi indikator keberhasilan sebesar ≥ 80%.
