Abstract

This article aims to explain that resilience is a very basic psychological construct that every teacher should have for the success of their teaching and learning. Resilience is something that must be fought for continuously. It is a dynamic process that must be fought for all time. Apart from that, resilience is not something that can stand alone, it is the result of a collaboration of a number of factors. This article will explain three types of factors that are very strong in forming resilience. The three intended factors are: emotion awareness, emotion regulation, and self-transcence relationship. Emotion awareness makes a teacher always aware (in Javanese language) of every emotion in himself. With emotion regulation, a teacher always tries to regulate or control and direct his emotions towards positive things. However, in fact, quite a few emotions that we have realized cannot be easily controlled. Even when a teacher has received input from colleagues or from the school principal, emotions that have run high are still difficult to regulate. For this reason, teachers need a third factor, self-transcendence. With a transcendental relationship, teachers can ask for help from the God they believe in to regulate their emotions to be positive.

Abstract

The Eucharist as the source and pinnacle of the liturgy involves all people participating in Christ's sacrifice. It is hoped that the participation of all people in the Sacrament of the Eucharist will enable people to appreciate the meaning of unity, the meaning of sacrifice, and the meaning of preaching in the sacrament of the Eucharist. Understanding the meaning of the Eucharist directs people to realize it in the Catholic family. This is because all activities carried out in family life flow from the Eucharist and always draw strength from the Eucharist. However, the application of the meaning of the Sacrament of the Eucharist in Catholic families has begun to become less visible within the family. This research uses qualitative research methods using observation, interview and documentation analysis techniques. Observations are carried out by observing events and behavior that are needed to support the research being carried out. The interview technique is carried out by asking questions to the informant, to obtain the information needed according to the research. Also documentation as supporting evidence for research results. The research results show that the implementation of the meaning of the unity of the sacrament of the Eucharist in the Catholic family is carried out through joint prayer, personal prayer, eating together, gathering with the family, and the unity of husband and wife participating in church activities.

Abstract

Prosocial behavior is an action that encourages someone to interact, cooperate and help others without expecting anything for themselves. Among teenagers, especially high school students, prosocial behavior is often not practiced well. For this reason, the role of teachers, especially PAK teachers, is needed to guide students to implement prosocial behavior. The aim of this research is to find out how prosocial behavior is implemented among students at SMA Negeri 1 Delitua, as well as to find out what roles PAK teachers can play to support students' prosocial behavior. This research method is a qualitative method. After the researcher collected data through observation and interviews, the researcher processed the data through reduction, display and triangulation. The results of this research indicate that the prosocial behavior of students at SMA Negeri 1 Delitua tends to be low. Meanwhile, PAK teachers have played their roles as role models, facilitators, motivators, learning managers and mentors.

Abstract

Students' emotional disorders are still a source of problems in the world of education.  This emotional disorder will influence their future and their adolescence itself. The other researcher has been done some therapy, but it doesn’t work enough to pretend the teenager’s emotional disorder. This research aims to offer a solution to the problem of emotional disorders, especially depression, anxiety, and panic disorders. The solution in question is an emotional therapy called The Heart Technique, which is part of hypnotherapy. The method used is a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental approach. The subjects of this research were Class XI SOS students at RK Serdang Murni Lubuk Pakam Private High School. SOS 1 class is the experimental class and SOS 2 class is the control class. Data processing was carried out using Excel and SPSS applications. The results of data processing show that the heart technique therapy is effective in reducing students' emotional disorders.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate and explore students' career interest tendencies based on Holland's career interest theory, which categorizes career interests into 6 types, RIASEC (Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional). The subjects of this study were XII grade students at RK Serdang Murni Lubuk Pakam High School, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra as many as 121 students. This research methodology uses a quantitative approach using a modified Holland career interest test instrument, which consists of 54 question items. Data analysis resulted in a comprehensive mapping of the participants' career preferences, with an average overall career interest score of 2.87, which was categorized as Moderate. The findings revealed that students tended to be more interested in careers related to Social and Enterprising aspects, with lower interest in Realistic and Investigative careers. The implications of this study are expected to make a significant contribution in helping schools to design more targeted interventions in fostering and guiding students' career aspirations more effectively.

Abstract

Self-control is an important ability that students must have in facing various challenges in the school environment and social life. This ability reflects maturity in thinking, acting, and making decisions responsibly. However, the reality in the field shows that there are still many students who experience difficulties in controlling emotions, behavior, and choice of actions. This study aims to explore the role of Catholic Religious Education learning in strengthening self-control of grade X students at RK Serdang Murni Lubuk Pakam High School. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The informants consisted of students, Catholic Religious Education teachers, and school principals. The results showed that students have developed self-control abilities, both in the aspects of controlling behavior, decisions, and cognitive, along with learning that integrates Christian values such as reason, taste, conscience, and conscience. The conclusion of this study shows that Catholic Religious Education not only plays a role in religious aspects, but also in strengthening students' character and self-control. These results open up opportunities for curriculum development and practice. ABSTRAKKontrol diri merupakan kemampuan penting yang harus dimiliki siswa dalam menghadapi berbagai tantangan di lingkungan sekolah maupun kehidupan sosial. Kemampuan ini mencerminkan kedewasaan dalam berpikir, bertindak, dan mengambil keputusan secara bertanggung jawab. Namun, kenyataan di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa masih banyak siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mengendalikan emosi, perilaku, dan pilihan tindakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Katolik dalam penguatan kontrol diri siswa kelas X di SMA RK Serdang Murni Lubuk Pakam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Informan terdiri dari siswa, guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik, dan kepala sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa telah mengembangkan kemampuan kontrol diri, baik dalam aspek mengontrol perilaku, keputusan, maupun kognitif, seiring dengan pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Kristiani seperti akal budi, rasa, hati nurani, dan suara hati. Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Katolik terbukti menjadi media efektif dalam membentuk sikap tanggung jawab, empati, refleksi diri, serta kesadaran moral siswa. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Pendidikan Agama Katolik tidak hanya berperan dalam aspek religius, tetapi juga dalam penguatan karakter dan pengendalian diri siswa. Hasil ini membuka peluang untuk pengembangan kurikulum dan praktik pembelajaran berbasis nilai di sekolah-sekolah Katolik yang lebih kontekstual dan aplikatif terhadap kehidupan nyata peserta didik.

Abstract

Keterampilan sosial merupakan kecakapan yang perlu dimiliki oleh setiap peserta didik karena bagian dari kecakapan hidup, keberhasilan dalam kehidupan sosialnya di sekolah maupun di masyarakat. Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari pergaulan peserta didik yang baik dapat menumbuhan keterampilan sosialnya. Lewat keterampilan sosial, peserta didik akan mampu berhubungan serta merespon orang lain dengan baik. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat peran guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik dalam meningkatkan keterampilan sosial peserta didik SMA Swasta Santa Maria Kabanjahe dengan informan sebanyak duabelas orang yang terdiri dari: seorang Guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik, seorang kepala Sekolah dan sepuluh peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan cara melakukan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik sudah dijalankan sebaik mungkin dalam meningkatkan keterampilan sosial peserta didik, sehingga peserta didik memiliki keterampilan sosial yang baik. Peran guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik sebagai suri teladan; pengelola pembelajaran; motivator; dan pelaksana kurikulum.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola asuh orang tua dalam mengembangkan kemampuan komunikasi anak usia dini 2-4 tahun dan Mengetahui kemampuan komunikasi anak usia dini 2-4 tahun. Anak usia dini mengalami perkembangan pesat dalam keterampilan berbicara dan komunikasi, yang sangat dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan dan pola asuh yang diterapkan oleh orang tua. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Teknik pemgumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penerapan pola asuh orang tua terdapat tiga aspek yaitu pola asuh demokratis, pola asuh permisif dan pola asuh otoriter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola asuh demokratis cenderung lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi anak dibandingkan dengan pola asuh permisif dan otoriter. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting bagi pemahaman tentang bagaimana interaksi antara orang tua dan anak dapat membentuk kemampuan komunikasi anak sejak usia dini. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi para orang tua dan pendidik dalam menerapkan pola asuh yang mendukung perkembangan optimal anak.

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini adalah agar peserta lebih memahami masalah psikologi yang mereka alami, khususnya masalah gangguan emosi dengan aspek depresi, kecemasan, dan panik. Setelah itu mereka mendapatkan solusi untuk menurunkan tingkat gangguan emosi tersebut. Solusi yang ditawarkan dalam kegiatan PKM ini adalah berupa hipnoterapi dengan tehnik The Heart Tecknique. Guna mengetahui berhasil tidaknya terapi ini, tim PKM melakukan pengujian berupa pretes dan postes. Peserta dalam PKM ini adalah 30 siswa Kelas XI SOS 1 SMA Swasta RK Serdang Murni Lubuk Pakam Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara. Instrumen pretes dan postes disusun dalam bentuk questioner berisi indikator tentang gejala gangguan depresi, kecemasan, dan panik. Masing-masing aspek tersebut terdiri atas 16 item pernyataan dengan skala likert 5 opsi. Hasil olah data pretes postes dengan aplikasi Excel dan SPSS menunjukan bahwa terdapat penurunan tingkat gangguan emosi peserta secara signifikan. Selain itu Hasil postes juga menunjukkan bahwa gangguan emosi siswa mayoritas berada pada katogori sedang dan rendah. Berbeda dengan hasil pretes.
