Abstract

Motorcycles are vehicles that have quite high economic value when compared to other vehicles. Motorcycles are made up of several constituent components, one of which is the use of final gear. The purpose of this study was to determine the amount of torque and the ratio of torque produced from the final gear size 13,14,15 on the new 2013 vixion motor. From the data obtained, the maximum torque when using the final gear size 13 = 15.24 Nm at a speed of 7.05 rpm. 14 = 15.49 Nm at 7.33 rpm and 15 = 15.91 Nm at 6.83 rpm. While the difference in the ratio of torque produced by the final gear (standard) size 13 and size 14, the difference in value = 0.22 Nm, the final gear size 14 is larger, the difference in the torque ratio between size 14 and size 15, the difference in value = 0.35, is greater than 15 size 14, the difference in the torque ratio between size 15 and size 13 is the difference in value = 0.57 Nm, which is 15 greater than size 13

Abstract

Semen Padang Indarung IV unit has a screw compressor type compressor unit to produce high pressure air. In its operations, one of the Atlas Copco type compressor units often experiences over heating problems, namely the working temperature exceeds 1000 C. The method used is trouble shooting the compressor system, such as checking the lubricating oil, pressure, valves, working temperature and cooling system. , as well as overhaul maintenance actions if necessary. Based on the research results, it was found that the factors that cause overheating of the compressor are: Dirty air quality affects the condition of the air filter for air supply, limited space for placing the compressor causes the air supply to decrease, the oil filter has passed its useful life and is not suitable for use, and the oil cooler is clogged with scale, which hinders the oil cooling process. Based on this damage, recommendations for maintenance activities on the Atlas Copco Compressor are: maintaining air quality, periodically cleaning the tubes in the oil cooler, replacing the new oil filter according to compressor specifications, as well as comprehensive maintenance measures

Abstract

Compressor is one of the equipment on the ship in the process of smooth sailing for the purposes of starting the main engine and also functions to increase gas pressure, distribute air to other parts so that the process runs smoothly. MT Tanker Ship. Sea Serenity is a goods delivery ship. On this ship, the compressor is used to carry out maneuvers, namely the main air compressor which produces air pressure of 12 bar for 10 minutes, but it should only be 5 minutes, meaning the compressor performance is not optimal. The causes of decreased performance in the compressor are: Dirty/clogged air valve, wear of the piston ring/housing, non-functioning of the low pressure and high pressure suction valves. Recommendations for maintenance activities on the LSHC-50A air compressor are: Ensure air circulation to the compressor room is clean/free from dust or dirt, add an air filter, and maintain room temperature stability (providing air conditioning). Maintain the cleanliness of the blower, check the oil filter, replace damaged pistons, and replace new piston rings according to compressor spare parts every 6000 working hours

Abstract

PLTU Teluk Sirih is a coal-fired steam power plant as an energy source that produces ash with a capacity of 2 . The compressor is a medium for transferring ash by using compressed air. The compressor used is a SCREEW OIL INJECTED SULLAIR LS20-150H compressor. Currently there is a decrease in performance on the compressor, which initially had a compression ratio of 1,600 Psia, polytropic head 14,500,599, capacity 10,938,438, flow rate 11,379,622 lb/s, efficiency 98.5%. After analyzing this compressor, the data obtained was a compression ratio of 1,540 Psia, polytropic head 13,805,166, capacity 10,950,733, flow rate 11,392,412, and efficiency of 95.3%. The reason is because the compressor room area does not have an active blower so that dirt/ash stuck to the radiator fins causes heat transfer to be hampered and this greatly affects the performance of the compressor parts to work optimally

Abstract

Slicing tempeh, which is generally done manually, can slow down the production process. Therefore, a tool was designed that is capable of slicing tempeh precisely, so that the results of slicing tempeh are more precise, efficient, save time, save labor, and reduce the possibility of work accidents. . In making this tempeh slicing machine, a ½ HP 1400 Rpm electric motor is the main driver, the rotation of the electric motor is transmitted to the cutting knife (circular knife), which will later be used to slice the tempeh. The tempeh slicing process is done by placing the tempeh on a sliding table slide. The basic materials used in making a tempeh slicing machine are 4x4 hollow iron, a dynamo adapter, and an electric motor. After the tool was ready to be used, the tempeh slicing machine was tested. The test was carried out for 10 seconds and produced 8 tempeh slices, 5 suitable tempeh slices and 3 unfit tempeh slices, so it could be concluded that the suitability of the tempeh slicing results was 68 percent

Abstract

Current technological advances have produced many products that aim to make human work easier. One of them is an iron burning tool that uses a blower as a tool used to increase or enlarge the air or gas pressure that will flow into the combustion container (furnace). The blower used is a 2 inch snail blower as a tool to increase the air pressure so that the air that is supplied can enlarge the burning flame. The furnace used is a drum coated with heat-resistant cement which can withstand the heat of the combustion fire so that the furnace does not melt. The frame materials used are hollow iron measuring 40 x 40 and angle iron measuring 40x40. For combustion, it uses coal as the main fuel and the blower itself as an air distributor so that it can produce the desired fire. Based on the test results in a metal burning furnace, a temperature of 340°C can be obtained as planned so that by heating the metal, various types of equipment can be formed as desired

Abstract

Shaft critical rotation test tool to calculate the maximum deflection on the shaft, the size of the force or pressure is directly proportional to the amount of deflection. Currently the critical shaft rotation test tool is still manual. From the problems above, the author designed a critical shaft rotation test tool using a digital counter (sensor) to read the rotation precisely and accurately, motor power ¼ HP 2800 Rpm rotation. The critical rotation test tool for the shaft has the working principle of using an electric motor where this motor transmits power from the drill chuck to the shaft. The process of planning the critical rotation test tool consists of: power Pd = 0.3 kw, shaft material S30C with ?20 length 1500 mm, bearing type 6204 , bolts ? 12 mm, bolts ? 14, The load used is iron with dimensions ?l 150 mm, ?d 20 mm and a thickness of 10 mm, Drill chuck used as a supporting specimen with a supporting diameter of 20 mm, Frame size 1800 mm x 750 mm x 750mm

Abstract

The design of this metal burning stove was made to speed up and make it easier for blacksmith craftsmen to produce quality products. Using this tool, blacksmith craftsmen can produce a stable flame in the metal burning process. Where the planning for a metal burning stove uses coal as the main fuel, because coal can produce a longer lasting fire compared to charcoal or firewood. The working principle of this metal burning stove is to use a machine tool that is driven by a blower to increase or enlarge the air or gas pressure that will transmit to the connecting pipe, and produce a stable fire so that combustion is faster and more efficient. The metal burning furnace planning process consists of: Power planning in the metal burning furnace planning p_d = 0.3 Kw, using a blower with a rotation of 2800 rpm, using 2 pipes as air conductors, the furnace volume is 7,385.28 m^3 and using a C18 castabble, weight 25 kg, cement resistance capacity 1800?.

Abstract

A press tool is a tool to help shape, bend, cut products from sheet metal (plate) base material which is operated using a press tool. To increase effectiveness and productivity, currently many hydraulic systems are combined with other systems such as electrical/electronic, pneumatic and mechanical systems so that more optimal hydraulic system work can be obtained. This press applies pressing or loading movements using hydraulic power. In order for the pressing process to be even or precise, one cylinder is needed which moves the top plate (Punch). The working load on the single acting cylinder has a maximum capacity of 20 tons. The design of this press tool is designed by following the type and shape of the selected material sample. The design of this press tool aims to make the user's work easier to get more precise press results. The material used is profile steel. Simulation results on the press frame: frame length 400 mm, frame width 600 mm, frame height 850 mm, frame strength 16407 N/m2

Abstract

An elevator is a vertical transportation device used to transport people or goods. Elevators are box-shaped and are generally used in high-rise buildings, usually more than three or four floors. Elevator specifications are determined by its capacity, speed, and carrying capacity. Elevator selection is based on the use of elevators in buildings with traffic, commuting time, peak time and waiting time in terms of capacity (handling capacity), elevator speed. Adequate quantity of vertical transportation is an important factor, because it will affect the quality of service in a building, so maintenance management is needed that can manage elevator performance. The first step in analyzing component repairs is to use direct observation methods, namely primary and secondary data collection, data processing is carried out to extend the service life of Otis elevators, covering the working principles of Otis elevators, knowing the causes of Otis elevator damage, determining the Otis elevator maintenance schedule and knowing how to properly maintain Otis elevators and how to minimize damage that occurs
