Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan pengalaman berkomunikasi para pengelola Karinding Sadulur (Kasalur), Tasikmalaya, dalam mengenalkan dan meregenerasikan alat musik karinding kepada masyarakat, khususnya generasi muda, melalui jalur pendidikan informal yang mereka berikan. Metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi digunakan untuk mengungkapkan pengalaman berkomunikasi pengelola Karinding Sadulur dalam mengenalkan dan meregenerasikan karinding kepada generasi masyarakat yang meminatinya. Sumber data diperoleh melalui wawancara dan observasi dengan pengelola Karinding Sadulur, serta mengkaji literatur, dokumen, video, serta foto-foto yang berkaitan dengan Karinding Sadulur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa para pendiri Karinding Sadulur atau tunggul sadulur, memaknai karinding sebagai alat musik yang sarat makna filosofis tentang kehidupan manusia yang kompleks. Komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh Karinding Sadulur dalam mengenalkan karinding kepada masyarakat dilakukan melalui event musik, melalui karya, melalui media sosial, serta melalui edukasi. Kesimpulan penelitian ini, pengemasan karya yang menarik dan kekinian serta cara pengajaran yang menyenangkan merupakan bentuk komunikasi yang dapat menarik minat generasi muda untuk memelajari musik karinding. Semakin banyak generasi muda yang belajar, proses regenerasi seni budaya tradisonal dapat dikatakan berhasil.

Abstract

Wabah coronavirus dimulai di kota Wuhan, Cina pada Desember dua tahun lalu. Dan hampir satu tahun para peserta didik dan pendidik melakukan pembelajaran online dari tempat nya masing-masing. Banyak pengalaman dan masalah yang terjadi dengan penggunaan aplikasi pembejaran yang digunakan. Dan ini tentu bisa dilihat melalui budaya virtual yang ada di dalamnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis budaya virtual dari perkuliahan online yang dilakukan mahasiswa bersama dosen dengan menggunakan aplikasi zoom, dilihat dari video, audio, dan fitur-fitur yang ada dalam aplikasi zoom. Metode yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif melalui pendekatan etnografi virtual untuk menganalisis budaya virtual mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan online di aplikasi zoom. Objek utama dalam penelitian ini adalah fitur-fitur yang ada dalam aplikasi zoom, seperti video, audio, virtual backgrounds, video filters, chat, dan reactions. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara, dan studi literatur. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis data model alur Miles dan Huberman. Sementara untuk teknik validitas data menggunkan member check. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa budaya virtual yang terbentuk atas penggunaan aplikasi zoom dalam perkuliahan online adalah: 1) video – banyak mahasiswa yang lebih memilih fitur mematikan kamera daripada menghidupkan kamera pada perkuliahan online;  2) audio – mahasiswa kerap mematikan fitur audio pada perkuliahan online; 3) virtual backgrounds – mahasiswa ada yang menggunakan fitur virtual backgrounds pada perkuliahan online; 4) video filters – mahasiswa ada yang menggunakan fitur video filters pada perkuliahan online; 5) chat – banyak mahasiswa yang memanfaatkan fitur chat pada perkuliahan online; dan 6) reactions – mahasiswa ada yang menggunakan fitur reactions  pada perkuliahan online. Temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengajar harus memiliki sistem dan aturan yang dapat membuat proses belajar mengajar menjadi terarah dan berlangsung seperti yang diharapkan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the level of knowledge, attitudes and behavior in behaving in a healthy lifestyle. This research method is quantitative with a survey approach. This research was conducted in February 2018-July 2018, in the Upper Citarum River, Tarumjaya Village, Bandung Regency. This study analyzes the variables of knowledge, attitudes and behavior of PHBS with descriptive statistics. The results showed that the people's knowledge in Tarumjaya village was very good for all PHBS indikators. The highest indikator is childbirth in a health facility. The people of Tarumjaya Village have an attitude about a clean and healthy lifestyle in the high and medium categories. Most people have a good attitude in the dimension of childbirth assisted by health workers. Although the community's knowledge and attitudes regarding PHBS are quite good, in terms of community behavior in implementing PHBS, it still needs to be improved. As many as 69 percent have applied the medium and high category PHBS, but there are still 31 percent of the community who apply the PHBS in the low category.

Abstract

This article is based on the results of research which the aim is to find out how is mapping of the education information dissemination network in the community of Cintaratu village, Pangandaran district. The reason for choosing the topic was that Padjadjaran University (Unpad) campus is in the village and it is assumed that the presence of the university in the village could improve the quality of education of its people. To confirm this assumption, it is necessary to map the education sector information network. We use qualitative methods which approach is a descriptive study, the researchers conducted a mapping of educational information dissemination. The main informants of this study are the community and village officials. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, passive participatory observation, and literature studies. The finding of the research are as follows, 1) the initial mapping of educational information dissemination to the community was carried out through direct communication, namely through two major activities - recitation and celebration; 2) recitation and celebration are two activities that are susceptible to physical noise-causing information related to education not conveyed properly to the public. Effective communication does not occur in these two activities.

Abstract

ONLINE TRAINING OF SOCIAL MEDIA APPLICATION FOR MARKETING BAMBOO CRAFT PRODUCT IN SELAAWI, GARUT, WEST JAVA. The distribution of goods and services needs marketing to reach the potential customers. The development of internet technology expand the marketing of goods and services from traditional to online market. The bamboo artisans of Selaawi Subdistrict, Garut Regency, realized that it was necessary to market their products online to increase the market share of their craft products, which are currently distributed offline. The Community Service (PPM) Team of Fikom Unpad conducted "Online Training on Social Media Applications for Marketing Bamboo Craft Products in Selaawi, Garut Regency" for creative bamboo economic people in Selaawi Subdistrict, who have not used social media or not optimally used social media as a marketing and promotion channels for bamboo handicraft products. This PPM aims to elevate bamboo artisan’s knowledge in using social media to support the marketing and distribution of bamboo handicraft products directly to customers and sales agents. The social media skills is expected to invite buyers, and increase bamboo artisan’s income. PPM activity presented speakers who owned Amygdala Bamboo, the Head of Selaawi subdistrict, the coordinator of bamboo craft artisans in Selaawi, and PPM Team of Fikom Unpad. This PPM activity was conducted online through Zoom Cloud Meetings, which was attended by bamboo crafts artisans and other participants.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the rough netizen comments related video Debat Final Pilkada DKI 2017 on the YouTube channel CNN Indonesia. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a virtual ethnography approach to analyze rough comments netizen related video Debat Final Pilkada DKI 2017 on the YouTube channel CNN Indonesia. The main object of this research is video Debat Final Pilkada DKI 2017 on the YouTube channel  of CNN Indonesia. Data collection techniques are conducted through participatory observation and literature studies. The results of this study indicate that rough netizen comments related video Debat Final Pilkada DKI 2017 on the YouTube channel of CNN Indonesia are: 1) netizens often insulting candidate pairs that are not his choice; 2) netizens mutually insulting other netizens supporting one candidate pair; and 3) netizens argue with other netizens related to their candidate pairs.

Abstract

The development of information technology in Indonesia grow rapidly, manyinstitution using digital media to communicate with the public. Internet users in Indonesia on2017 is 143.26 million. This is in line with the increase of the number of users of socialmedia.To reach a large public, Governments need to use digital media to deliver informationand communicating with the public.The purpose of the research is to describes the information and communicationmedia used by the provincial Government of West Java to communicate with the public andwhat kind of information which delivered through official media of government. This studyuses qualitative methods, with the virtual Ethnography approach by analyzing theinformation on social media and user interaction in the cyber space. Data collection processis using observation of participation.The results of the study show that the provincial Government of West Java usingofficial website, social media platform as instagram, facebook, twitter, youtube, and email tocommunicate with public. The type of information which delivered by official mediaprovincial government of west java are the policy and Government program, tourisminformation, tax, natural disasters, health, sports, the achievements of the Government,activities, and the special event. Information which delivered through official website aremore formal and presented comprehensive. Nevertheless, information delivered through allsocial media platform is the same information, in a different format

Abstract

This Community Service (PPM) is entitled "Social Media Training in Developing Market Share and Increasing Revenue of Embroidery and Kelom geulis Entrepreneurs". This activity is motivated by development of social media usage from communication media to a marketing media for products produced and sold by net citizens. This includes embroidery and kelom geulis entrepreneurs in Tasikmalaya city. However, not every entrepreneur uses social media as a marketing media for their products, especially middle-aged business owners. Even if using it, the management is not optimal, because of the limited human resources and the time they need to manage it. This PPM activity aims to foster enthusiasm for embroidery and kelom geulis entrepreneurs to optimize the use of social media as a marketing medium in order to expand the market and increase the revenue earned. Through the implementation of PPM, it is expected that embroidery and kelom geulis entrepreneurs can further optimize the use of social media as a marketing media for they products.

Abstract

AbstractThe high-tech, sophisticated electronic device with the small size we call the device or gadget, is now widely used not only by adults but also children. Some children even already have a personal device since the age of under five years (toddlers). This study was conducted in order to compare the behavior of toddlers who use personal devices and who use their parent’s devices. The methodology used in this research is a qualitative approach to the comparative study. The results of this study indicate that there is no significant behavioral difference in toddlers who use personal devices and toddlers who use parent’s devices. Behavior differences are seen from toddlers with the intensity of duration of high-use devices, unattended use, inconsistent rules and content used. The recommendations that can be given by the researcher is the need to be given media literacy and information for parents of a toddler, related to duration, content, and effect of usage of the device by a toddler.Keywords: Gadget, Toddler, Parent, Comparative Studies, and Media Literation. AbstrakPerangkat elektronik canggih berteknologi tinggi dengan ukuran kecil yang kita sebut dengan gawai, saat ini sudah banyak digunakan tidak hanya oleh orang dewasa, tapi juga anak-anak. Beberapa anak bahkan sudah memiliki gawai pribadi sejak usianya dibawah lima tahun (balita). Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam rangka membandingkan perilaku balita yang menggunakan gawai pribadi dan yang menggunakan gawai orangtuanya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi komparasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan perilaku yang signifikan pada balita yang menggunakan gawai pribadi dan balita yang menggunakan gawai orangtuanya. Perbedaan perilaku terlihat dari balita yang intensitas, durasi penggunaan gawai, penggunaan tanpa pengawasan, aturan yang tidak konsisten serta konten yang digunakan. Adapun rekomendasi yang dapat diberikan peneliti adalah perlunya diberikan literasi media dan informasi bagi orang tua balita, terkait durasi, konten dan efek penggunaan gawai oleh balita.Kata Kunci: Gawai, Balita, Orang Tua, Studi Komparasi, dan Media LIterasi.

Abstract

This study aims to reveals the efforts of the Government of Garut Regency and Selaawi District in building the image of Selaawi as a Bamboo City. Many bamboo natural resources and skilled human resources in processing bamboo into various crafts with various functions are a great support for achieving Selaawi's dream of becoming a Bamboo City. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data  were collected through interviews, observations, and document studies related to efforts to form the image of Selaawi as the City of Bamboo or Dayeuh Awi. The study indicates that building the image of Selaawi as a Bamboo City is a collective effort that requires a long process and the role of many parties to make it happen. Conducting the concept Pentahelix, the government of Garut Regency, especially Selaawi District, works closely with academia, business community, government and media. As a reinforcing force, the Selaawi sub-district government strengthens emotional and community bonds with its citizens to unite to improve their welfare. The Selaawi bamboo craft center building or Selaawi Bamboo Creative Center was built, and the Selaawi Bamboo Festival was held as a medium for promoting bamboo tourism and its own tourist attraction. The image as a Bamboo City is expected to develop the creative economy and tourism of the Selaawi community and become a role model in sustainable bamboo processing and management.
