Abstract

Economic recession is a condition in which the economic turnover of a country changes to slow or bad that can last for years as a result of the growth of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) a country decreases over two decades significantly. Early warnings of the emergence of a global recession become a concern for all countries in the world, even global recessions also have a major impact on Indonesia. Such as declining public spending due to decreasing incomes, increasing unemployment, increasing poverty, and many of whom have to accept PHK or salary cuts. Economic strengthening will be important in minimizing these threats, this research needs to be done to see the response of the public to the threat of economic recession. Twitter provides a container to users to comment on the problem of the economy recession 2023 which can be used as sentiment classification information to know positive and negative comments. This research uses the naive bayes classifier algorithm. In this study there are seven main processes, namely data collection, manual labelling, processing, feature weighing (tf-idf), tresholding, naive bayes method classification, testing. From the 1408 comments data on Twitter about the threat of a 2023 economic recession. Based on the results of the classification, using 2 testing models namely data balance and non-balance data obtained the best balance data test results with the highest accuracy result with the process of classification using algortima naïve bayes classifier resulted in accurateness of 78% obtainable by using a comparison of 90% training data and 10% test data.

Abstract

Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) remains a leading cause of global mortality, with dyslipidemia recognized as a major modifiable risk factor. This study investigates the relationship between serum lipid parameters and CAD using the Z-Alizadeh Sani clinical dataset comprising 303 patients with 55 clinical, biochemical, and electrocardiographic attributes. Logistic Regression (LR) and Random Forest (RF) models were developed to predict CAD status, supported by a standardized preprocessing pipeline, multi-split train–test evaluation (70/30, 80/20, 90/10), and performance assessment using Accuracy, Precision, Recall, F1-Score, and AUC-ROC. SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) were employed to enhance model interpretability and quantify the contribution of lipid-related and clinical features to individual predictions. The RF model consistently outperformed LR across all split configurations, achieving a maximum AUC of 0.96, while LR attained an AUC of 0.90. SHAP analysis revealed that total cholesterol (CHOL) and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) were strong positive predictors of CAD, whereas high-density lipoprotein (HDL) exhibited a protective effect, in line with established cardiovascular pathophysiology. These findings demonstrate that integrating explainable machine learning with routine clinical lipid profiles can provide accurate and transparent decision support for early CAD risk stratification.

Abstract

Deep learning-based chest X-ray (CXR) classification frequently encounters bottlenecks due to the scarcity of labeled medical data and imbalanced class distributions. This study aims to implement a semi-supervised learning (SSL) approach utilizing the SoftMatch algorithm with a DenseNet-121 backbone for the multiclass classification of CXR images (Normal, COVID-19, and Pneumonia) under limited label conditions. SoftMatch is specifically selected for its capability to mitigate the quantity-quality trade-off through an adaptive pseudo-label soft-weighting mechanism. A dataset comprising 5,228 images is allocated via a stratified split into 70% training data, 10% validation data, and 20% testing data. Experiments are conducted across three labeled data proportion scenarios (5%, 10%, and 20%), each evaluated with and without Uniform Alignment. Evaluation metrics include accuracy, macro F1-score, confusion matrix, ROC-AUC, supported by visual interpretability analysis using Grad-CAM. The experimental results demonstrate that the model remains robust under the most critical scenario (5% labels), achieving an accuracy of 91.68% and a macro F1-score of 91.72% when integrating Uniform Alignment (UA), outperforming the scenario without UA, which records an accuracy of 90.73% and a macro F1-score of 90.82%. The best performance for the UA configuration is achieved in the 10% label scenario (accuracy 94.46%; macro F1-score 94.58%), while the peak overall performance is attained by the 20% label scenario without UA (accuracy 95.79%; macro F1-score 95.89%). These findings indicate that Uniform Alignment is effective in low-to-medium label conditions but does not consistently enhance performance at higher label proportions.
