Abstract

Human rights or what is often abbreviated as HAM in Indonesia have been alluded to in the formulation of the text of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. Human rights are moral norms or principles that describe standards of human behavior that are systematically protected as human rights law. nationally or internationally. Human rights are generally understood as rights that absolutely become basic rights where people inherently have rights because of their position as human beings which include aspects of their nation, location, language, religion, ethnicity, and other statuses. Based on searching the verses of the Al-Qur'an and As-Sunnah, it is concluded that Islamic law has formulated the regulation and protection of human rights for humans.

Abstract

When people communicate, they seek to achieve shared meaning and share information, ideas, or attitudes with other individuals. If there is no resemblance, there will be a misunderstanding of meaning between the communicator and the communicant; alternatively, the communicant will not catch the message it receives; finally communication will not take place or not communicative. In addition, early childhood, which ranges from one to five years of age, is a very challenging time for children to understand the meaning of language; hence, communication must be considered to ensure that children are not confused. Because the data source for this research is not people but documents, this research uses a qualitative approach. In addition to using documentation techniques, researchers also use comparison methods to find common ground in the process of forming communication principles in early childhood. This research is one example of the type of research conducted in the library (library research). The type of analysis that looks at the substance of the data is called content analysis. The research findings suggest that children enter what is known as a "golden age" at a young age. This is a time when young children are exposed to a variety of stimuli, which this study defines as the "age of wonders." Through clear and consistent communication with children while they are young, we can help them learn to identify and distinguish between right and wrong, making it easier to solve problems, and look out for the best interests of the child. It is hoped that in the future, children will not make wrong decisions about the people they associate with outside the family and will not experiment with activities that can harm themselves or the environment.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the attitude of adolescents towards their parents, in the principles of Islamic communication in Jaharun Village, Galang District. This is motivated by the lack of awareness of adolescents in communication ethics. In general, everyone must have communication ethics, because communication is the most important thing in the life of every human being. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The data we collected used the interview and observation stages. After this data was obtained, we carried out this analysis using the tabularasa theory. The results of this study turned out that the attitudes and communication ethics of adolescents were not in accordance with the principles of Islamic communication. Therefore, the effort that can be made for the awareness of youth in Jaharun village is to mobilize and provide motivation through activities related to good communication. In addition, the assemblies in Jaharun Village must also be developed and revived, by inviting all youth to attend every recitation held by the assemblies.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang pesat telah mendorong kebutuhan akan pengambilan keputusan berbasis data di sektor publik. Big Data Analytics menjadi solusi strategis untuk mengolah dan menganalisis data dalam jumlah besar guna menghasilkan informasi yang akurat dan efektif. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan mensosialisasikan penggunaan Big Data Analytics kepada para pelaku di sektor publik agar mampu memanfaatkan teknologi tersebut dalam proses pengambilan keputusan. Metode sosialisasi dilakukan melalui workshop interaktif dengan pendekatan teori, praktik langsung, serta diskusi kelompok menggunakan perangkat lunak populer seperti Python dan Tableau. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman konsep serta keterampilan teknis peserta, sekaligus menumbuhkan kesadaran pentingnya etika penggunaan data pribadi. Program ini diharapkan dapat mempercepat transformasi digital menuju tata kelola pemerintahan modern yang transparan, akuntabel, dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan masyarakat.

Abstract

The library acts as a container for various sources of information. However, as technology advances, libraries must be able to offer open services so that the community and students can make the most of existing resources that can awaken a culture of literacy. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study paradigm. The findings show that the concept of an open access-based digital library makes it easier for users to increase literacy culture. Open access digital libraries have the potential to help increase access to and use of information and literature, promote literacy, and help expand knowledge and innovation. The strategies that can be implemented in library open access services to improve literacy culture are: 1) facilitating open access through an easy-to-use online access system. 2) guidance and training for students and the community, 3) Collaboration with schools and universities, 4) Marketing and promotion, 5) Provision of quality resources, 6) Literacy activity programs, such as joint reading events, literacy workshops, and writing competitions.

Abstract

The research is entitled The Role of Parents in Reducing Online Game Addiction in Students of SMP Negeri 11 Medan. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the role of parents in reducing online game addiction, how the impact of online game addiction and what are the factors that become obstacles for parents in reducing online game addiction in students of SMP Negeri 11 Medan. The research aims to find out the role of parents in reducing online game addiction, knowing the impact of addiction and knowing the factors that become obstacles for parents in reducing online game addiction in students of SMP Negeri 11 Medan. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach where this research uses Miles and Huberman data analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that the role of parents is very important for the growth of children, therefore parents must do several things so that children are not addicted to gadgets and online games including: by mentoring, supervision and open communication. Efforts to avoid the use of gadgets and online games in it are by the way each parent must take several actions or preventive measures to minimize the use of cell phones in children, by limiting time, making commitments from the beginning with children so that in children there will be a sense of responsibility and think they have a promise with their parents that they should not break. It can be concluded that the factors that influence online gaming are the frequency of playing online games, the time of playing online games, and the games or games that are favored.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mendukung peningkatan kapasitas personel Direktorat Kepolisian Perairan dan Udara (Ditpolairud) Polda Sumatera Utara melalui integrasi ilmu komunikasi dan ilmu komputer. Transformasi digital menjadi kebutuhan mendesak dalam menghadapi tantangan keamanan perairan dan udara yang semakin kompleks, sementara komunikasi strategis diperlukan untuk membangun kepercayaan publik serta memperkuat koordinasi internal. Kegiatan ini meliputi pelatihan literasi digital, pemanfaatan aplikasi komputer untuk pengelolaan data operasional, serta pengembangan strategi komunikasi publik yang efektif. Dengan pendekatan kolaboratif, diharapkan personel Ditpolairud mampu meningkatkan profesionalisme, transparansi, dan responsivitas dalam menjalankan tugas pokok kepolisian, sekaligus memperkuat hubungan dengan masyarakat pesisir dan pengguna transportasi udara. Hasil pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model integrasi teknologi informasi dan komunikasi strategis dalam mendukung kinerja kepolisian di era digital.

Abstract

Fenomena geng motor dan tindakan tidak sopan di kalangan remaja adalah salah satu isu sosial yang bisa mengganggu pertumbuhan karakter, keamanan, serta masa depan para pemuda. Remaja adalah kelompok usia yang sedang mencari jati diri dan mudah terpengaruh oleh lingkungan sekitar yang tidak baik, seperti ikut geng motor, menggunakan media sosial secara salah, bertengkar, dihina, dan melakukan tindakan-tindakan yang tidak sesuai dengan nilai baik. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan upaya pencegahan dengan cara memberikan sosialisasi yang dapat meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman remaja tentang dampak buruk dari perilaku tersebut. Kegiatan sosialisasi yang dilakukan kepada para siswa di sekolah Medan bertujuan untuk memberi pemahaman tentang bahaya geng motor dan tindakan kenakalan remaja. Kegiatan ini juga bertujuan untuk menanamkan nilai disiplin, tanggung jawab, serta membentuk karakter positif bagi para pelajar. Aktivitas dilaksanakan dengan cara memberikan materi, berdiskusi secara aktif, menonton video penjelasan, dan melakukan sesi tanya jawab. Materi yang dibahas mencakup pengertian serta berbagai jenis kenakalan remaja, sebab-sebab yang membuat remaja terlibat dalam geng motor, dampak hukum dan sosial yang terjadi, serta cara-cara untuk membangun pergaulan yang baik dan bermanfaat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta mengenai risiko dan konsekuensi dari keterlibatan dalam geng motor maupun perilaku kenakalan remaja. Selain itu, peserta menunjukkan sikap yang lebih positif terhadap pentingnya menjaga pergaulan, menaati norma sosial, serta mengembangkan potensi diri melalui kegiatan yang bermanfaat. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu langkah preventif dalam membentuk generasi muda yang berkarakter, berprestasi, dan bebas dari pengaruh negatif lingkungan.
