Abstract

Located in Muara Enim Regency, Tanjung Baru Village in Lembak Sub-district has an abundance of natural resources, one of which is a pineapple plantation that deserves attention. Thanks to the village's dry soil consisting of sand and low lime content, pineapple cultivation thrives here. In fact, locals often turn to pineapple cultivation for their livelihood. Unfortunately, the sheer number of people owning these plantations has led to a surplus of pineapples, resulting in a drop in prices and lost opportunities for profit. As students, our goal is to foster MSMEs in Tanjung Baru Village through hands-on training on how to make delicious pineapple jam. We strive to provide locals with essential knowledge to effectively utilize pineapple products and delve into researching key ingredients that have the potential to cultivate and trade high-quality pineapples at the best prices. Our goal is to assist the development of MSMEs in Tanjung Baru Village.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Introduction: Stroke is the third leading cause of death worldwide. Unfortunately, the high incidence of stroke in Indonesia is not matched by prompt and effective treatment, resulting in a high disability rate. These limitations make decision-making in telemedicine services challenging. Objective: This study aims to compare decision-making related to stroke management between newly diagnosed patients and those previously diagnosed. Methods: This study employed a cross-sectional retrospective design. The data consisted of 256 secondary data obtained from telemedicine company conversations during March and April 2020. Patients were categorized into newly diagnosed stroke patients and previously diagnosed stroke patients. Results: Among the 256 subjects, a significant relationship was found between patient status and decisions regarding referral and pharmacological management. Newly diagnosed stroke patients more frequently received referral decisions, while previously diagnosed patients more often received pharmacological management. Discussion: This study indicates a significant association between patient status and decisions on referral and pharmacological management in telemedicine services. Further studies with larger sample sizes and longer time periods are needed for better representation of conditions in Indonesia. Keywords: patient status, pharmacological treatment, referral, stroke, telemedicine.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of transformational leadership and readiness for change on employee performance at LLDIKTI Region II during the ongoing digital transformation process. A quantitative approach was employed, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 60 respondents. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 27. The results indicate that both transformational leadership and readiness for change have a positive and significant impact on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously. The t-test results show that both variables are statistically significant (t-value of 3.667 for transformational leadership and 2.838 for readiness for change), with a significance level below 0.05. The F-test result shows an F-value of 22.487, which is greater than the F-table value of 3.15, with a significance level of 0.000. The R² value of 0.441 indicates that these two variables explain 44.1% of the variance in employee performance. These findings carry practical implications for LLDIKTI Region II, particularly in supporting digital transformation. It is recommended that LLDIKTI develop leadership training and mentoring programs to promote the consistent application of transformational leadership principles. Moreover, the organization should enhance employee readiness for change by providing technological training, clear change communication, and reward systems. This approach will help the institution improve adaptability and support optimal employee performance in the digital era.

Abstract

Work motivation is a key factor influencing employee productivity and performance within a company. This study aims to analyze the effect of employee feedback and incentives on increasing work motivation among employees at the shipping service company CV BWS Trans Lintang. A quantitative research method was employed, using questionnaires distributed to all employees of the company. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 26. The results show that employee feedback has a positive and significant effect on work motivation, as clear and structured feedback enhances employees’ understanding of company expectations and encourages performance improvement. In addition, incentives also have a positive impact on work motivation-both financial and non-financial-as they provide recognition and foster employee loyalty and commitment to the company. Simultaneously, employee feedback and incentives significantly contribute to improving work motivation. This study offers practical implications for the management of CV BWS Trans Lintang by highlighting the importance of strengthening performance evaluation strategies and incentive policies to create a more productive and conducive work environment. Theoretically, the study enriches the literature on human resource management by providing empirical evidence on the significance of feedback mechanisms and incentive systems in enhancing work motivation, particularly in the context of shipping service companies facing dynamic and service-oriented operational challenges.

Abstract

Cooley's anemia, also known as beta thalassemia major, is an inherited multisystemic disorder characterized by skeletal and non-skeletal complications resulting from hemoglobinopathies. Extramedullary Hematopoiesis (EMH) is a complication of thalassemia major due to insufficient erythropoiesis expansion. The incidence rate of paraspinal EMH in beta-thalassemia is rare but tends to be on the rise. We present a case of spinal cord compression due to intradural EMH in a 21-year-old man with Beta Thalassemia major, who exhibited acute lower motor, sensory, and autonomic disorder, along with severe anemia, and electrolyte imbalance. Patients were treated with corticosteroids, blood transfusions, electrolyte correction and pain medications. Several days later, the patient experienced clinical improvement in reduced pain and motor improvement. The patient was planned to undergo elective surgery and radiotherapy after reaching the stabilized condition. Management options of spinal cord compression due to EMH include corticosteroids, adequate blood transfusion, hydroxyurea, radiotherapy, surgical decompression, exchange transfusion, or a combination of these approaches. The choice of therapy should be based on the patient's clinical condition, diagnostic evaluations, and the size of the mass exerting pressure on the spinal cord. The optimal management of EMH remains uncertain. We need further research to establish effective treatment strategies of spinal cord compression due to EMH in Cooley’s Anemia.

Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is a systemic autoimmune disease that can cause neuropsychiatric systemic lupus erythematosus (NPSLE) complications, one of those manifests as stroke, which happens often in young adults. Ischemic stroke is more common in SLE patient, but hemorrhagic stroke can also ensue. We present a case of SLE in a young woman with left-sided hemiparesis and convulsion.
