Abstract

This research aims to find out and find solutions experienced by the main character named Axel in dealing with stress and ways to overcome it. The novel chosen as the main focus is called Sunset In Weh Island by Aida M.A. This novel tells the story of a boy named Axel who was experiencing stress and many negative feelings, and is trying to find a way to calm his mind. He found the calming down method he needed after his trip to Weh Island. In this research, the descriptive method is used. It's a research method that relies on observations of documents, in this case a novel and some previous research articles. The approach method used is a hermeneutic approach. The data collection method uses reading techniques and note-taking techniques. The results obtained from this research are that the character Axel succeeded in overcoming the stress-causing problems he had because he went on a tourism trip.

Abstract

The mutual influence relationship between literature and tourism occurs in creative inspiration and destination promotion. An interdisciplinary approach is needed to understand the contributions of both. Laskar Pelangi, by Andrea Hirata, is an example of literary success in promoting Bangka Belitung. This research aims to examine the tourism values in this novel and in the context of how literary works are able to increase the popularity of the destination. This research uses qualitative methods with a hermeneutical approach. The findings of this research conclude that the value of tourism in the novel Laskar Pelangi is reflected through natural beauty, cultural richness and emotional experiences. This has the potential to increase the popularity of tourist destinations, especially in Bangka Belitung.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the motivation of the main character to travel to Europe in the novel 2,578.0 KM by Ayu Nugraheni. This novel tells about the motivation of the two main characters who both have problems and divert these problems by going on a tour of Europe. This research method is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques using notes and reading novels which are the research object. Aspects such as internal conflict, relationships between characters, and story development are also considered to understand the motivation for the main character's trip to Europe in the context of the story. The results of the research describe the characters of Juni and Elio, as well as their motivation for traveling to Europe on the overall development of the story.

Abstract

The role of robots in the novel Only Human, focusing more on cultural aspects, behavior and geopolitical impacts. The aim of this research is to explore a deep understanding of the complexity of the relationship between humans and advanced technology and identify its ethical, social and geopolitical implications. The problem formulation includes questions about how humans respond to the presence of robots originating from different planets, what behavioral challenges arise in this relationship, and why cultural and ethical differences are important factors. The research method used is a hermeneutic approach to explore a deep understanding of the complex story in the novel. The results of this research tell about the role of robots in interacting with humans in various contexts and geopolitical changes between the planet and the earth. The role of robots in this novel also highlights the ethical and moral complexities in the use of advanced technology, as well as the challenges of the balance of power at the international level. Based on the results of the analysis, understanding and managing the impact of cultural and ethical differences in human interactions with robots, this research proposes considerations for designing international regulations which regulates the use of artificial intelligence in geopolitical and economic contexts. And aims to create an environment where technological developments can have a positive impact without sacrificing ethical and human values.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to look at the role of technology in a literary work. The literary work used in this research uses the novel genre entitled Saturday with Father by Adhitiya Mulya. The problem discussed is how technology plays a role in shaping the dynamics of family life in the novel. This includes, among other things, how technology can change the way families communicate, both positively and negatively, and its impact on the dynamics of relationships between family members, then how technology can act as a liaison between family members who are physically separated or otherwise based on the context of the story described. in the novel. The method used in the research uses a hermeneutic approach to explore the role of technology in shaping the dynamics of family life. Through this research, we can understand how technology is not only a tool used in everyday life but also influences how families interact, communicate, and form emotional bonds in their lives.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the level of needs of the main character Kinara in the novel entitled Primerose by PenieJingga02. The problem raised in this research is how the character Kinara is able to fulfill Maslow's five levels of needs and whether Kinara is able to achieve the need for self-actualization at the highest level of Maslow's needs. The method used in the research is a descriptive qualitative literary psychology approach. literary psychology approach using the study of Abraham Maslow's humanistic theory. Maslow's five levels of needs that will be analyzed in the character Kinara are the psychological needs (physiological needs), the safety needs (needs for security), the belonging and love (needs for affection), the esteem needs (self-esteem needs) , the actualitation needs (actualization needs). This research shows that the main character Kinara has not been able to actualize herself because of the five needs there are two needs that have not been fulfilled, so the character Kinara has not been able to fulfill the last need, namely self-actualization.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the self-defense mechanism taken from Sigmund Freud’s theory used by the main character in the literary work of the novel entitled Rain by Tere Liye. The problems studied are how the female main character in the novel faces the problems of her life and what forms of self-defense are used when the main character faces problems. The approach taken from this research uses a qualitative approach that focuses on the main character with the research method used, namely using a literary psychology approach. The results obtained show that the main female character in the novel uses forms of self-defense mechanisms in dealing with the problems of her life.

Abstract

The novel Sementara, Selamanya by Ika Natassa is a literary work that tells the story of the relationship between two husband and wife characters during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 which occurred in the city of Jakarta. Not only does it tell an interesting relationship between husband and wife, but this novel also provides a different perspective on the role of technology in helping to establish harmony between husband and wife, which requires them to be separated due to the ongoing pandemic. This paper aims to analyze the role of technology used in novel stories. The method used in this paper uses a hermeneutical approach. The results of research analysis using a hermeneutic approach provide a deeper interpretation of the technology in the novel. By using this approach, the research results provide a more in-depth picture of technology as well as the development of relationships and changes in traits between characters during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The millennial generation is a generation that has creative ideas or innovations. As a business person or entrepreneur, a person must have knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship, especially in the digital era like now. This research was conducted with the aim of finding out and revealing what abilities or theories are used by millennial generation business actors in New York City. The literary work used as a source of research data is the novel entitled #GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research using the heruistic method, namely reading thoroughly and the hermeneutic method, namely the study of text interpretation or the process of interpreting text. The results of this research are that there are 3 theories of entrepreneurship which include economic theory (taking advantage of opportunities that can create innovation), psychological theory (what underlies business) and behavioral theory (skills in managing and advancing business).

Abstract

The aim of this research is to look at the cognitive development experienced by the character Yoonjae in the Novel Almond. The work taken is entitled Almond by Shon Won-Pyung. The problem of this research is how the cognitive development of the character Yoonjae in the novel is. The method used is qualitative descriptive research using Piaget's theory of cognitive development. The results obtained indicate an increase in cognitive development in the form of development in the operational stage, concrete operational stage and formal operational stage in the character Yoonjae in the novel.
