Abstract

Penggunaan model pembelajaran yang kurang tepat dan belum adanya media pengembangan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran menyebabkan rendahnya hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas XI. Maka tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tidaknya pengaruh model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan media wordwall terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Polokarto tahun pelajaran 2023/2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif jenis eksperimen nyata tipe pretest-posttest control group design . Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Polokarto. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan cara simple random sampling . Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI.7 dan XI.8 masing-masing berjumlah 26 dan 29 siswa. Data penelitian berupa tes hasil belajar matematika siswa. Uji kondisi tersebut mencakup uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Setelah terpenuhinya uji perenang dilakukan uji hipotesis terhadap data kemampuan awal dan akhir siswa dengan uji t-test. Berdasarkan hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan media wordwall terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari hasil uji hipotesis terhadap kemampuan akhir matematika siswa. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan yang diperoleh bahwa nilai thitung = 1,934801103 dan ttabel = 1,67412. Karena thitung > ttabel maka diperoleh keputusan bahwa H0 diterima. Berdasarkan hasil pembahasan analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan media wordwall terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Polokarto tahun pelajaran 2023/2024.

Abstract

This study was conducted to address the issue of students' low comprehension of mathematical concepts. Learning videos were explored as a potential instructional medium to improve this comprehension. The purpose of the research was to examine the effectiveness of learning videos on the comprehension of mathematical concepts among grade XI students at SMA Negeri 3 Sukoharjo. A quantitative research method was employed using a true experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group. The sample consisted of 66 students from classes XI F.5A and XI F.5B, selected through a cluster random sampling technique. Data were collected through a test assessing students' comprehension of mathematical concepts. Prerequisite tests, including normality and homogeneity tests, were conducted prior to hypothesis testing, which was carried out using the t-test. The results indicated that learning videos effectively improved students' comprehension of mathematical concepts. This conclusion was supported by the t-test results, where tcount (2.1085) exceeded ttable (1.669), leading to the rejection of H0 and acceptance of H1​. Furthermore, the experimental group showed a significant increase in average scores after the intervention with learning videos, with the pretest average of 76.24 rising to a posttest average of 87.91. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that learning videos are an effective instructional medium for enhancing the comprehension of mathematical concepts among grade XI students at SMA Negeri 3 Sukoharjo in the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

This article presents a community engagement-based research initiative aimed at enhancing numeracy competence among senior high school teachers in Indonesia through a cybernetic pedagogy framework. Conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Nguter, the program combined theoretical workshops, digital tool integration, and cross-disciplinary lesson design to empower teachers in embedding numeracy across various subjects. A mixed-methods approach—comprising pre- and post-tests, structured mentoring, classroom observations, and reflective journals—revealed significant improvements in teachers' conceptual understanding, pedagogical confidence, and instructional practices. The findings demonstrate that cybernetic-based teaching fosters interactive, data-driven learning environments and supports numeracy as a transversal 21st-century skill. This study contributes empirical insights into scalable, cross-national professional development models that can be adapted in resource-constrained educational contexts

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the concept of geometry concepts contained in traditional games in Karanganyar Regency such as: engklek, kites, and marbles. This research uses qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. The data collection methods used in this research are observation, documentation and interviews. The results of this study indicate that in traditional games in Karanganyar district there is the concept of geometry. The geometry concepts contained are flat shapes (square, rectangle, triangle, kite, semicircle and circle), space shapes (tube and ball), geometry transformation (reflection), and congruence. The concept of geometry is illustrated in the game arena and game tools.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the students’ computational thinking skills in statistics. The type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques in this study include 1) Tests; 2) Interviews; 3) Documentation; and 4) Validation Sheets. The data analysis in this study involves: 1) Data condensation; 2) Data presentation; 3) Verification; and 4) Conclusion drawing. The validity of the data in this study is ensured using the technique of triangulation. Subjects were selected using purposive sampling. The instruments used were two statistical problem-solving questions. The results showed that in solving the first and second questions, the respondents could address the problems using the components of Computational Thinking, starting with decomposition, abstraction, and algorithm tasks. However, the pattern recognition component was not evident in the problem-solving process, even though some respondents gave incorrect answers. This was because the respondents did not fully understand the questions. They only read the questions once or twice, so the information was not fully comprehended. Additionally, the respondents only considered the simplest path and overlooked more complex paths in solving the second question. Students can carry out abstraction and algorithmic tasks, but they still struggle with decomposition and pattern recognition. Abstract

The purpose of the study was to find out whether there is an influence of basic integral learning video media on learning outcomes for Class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 1 Polokarto, Sukoharjo Regency, in the 2022/2023 academic year. This study uses a type of experimental research with a quantitative approach. With a population of all class XI MIPA students at SMA N 1 Polokarto for the 2022/2023 academic year, Sukoharjo Regency, there are 142 students and 4 classes. In this study using purposive sampling technique. This consideration was taken based on the number of students between the two classes being the same and the standard deviation values being relatively the same. The two classes that became the experimental and control classes were XI MIPA 1 and XI MIPA 2 with basic integral discussion material. Learning outcomes can be seen in the hypothesis test, it is known that the value of the independent sample t-test, with H0 is accepted if tcount ? ttable and H0 is rejected if tcount < ttable by determining dk = n1 + n2 - 2 with a significant level of ? = 5%. It can be seen that tcount = -5.151 and ttable = 1.994. Then the calculation results can be seen that tcount < ttable, namely -5.151 <1.994 means that H0 is rejected., and the results of observations of student activity during activities on basic integral material the average value of the percentage of observations in the experimental and control classes , showing the results of student activity in the experimental class was higher than the control class. This can be seen from the percentage of the average value of the two observers who were carried out in the experimental class by 95% while in the control class by 83.3%. Based on the results of research data analysis, seen from the results of learning to test the hypothesis and the percentage of the average value of observations, it can be concluded that there is an influence of learning video media in helping to understand Basic Integral material on student learning outcomes in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Polokarto, Sukoharjo Regency, Academic Year 2022/2023 .

Abstract

Representational ability is an important element in understanding mathematical concepts. The temulawak approach (Techniques for Information Discovery, Processing and Insights for Computing), rooted in cybernetic theory, is integrated with R and developed as a learning tool to improve students' mathematical representation skills in understanding probability distribution concepts. The purpose of this study is to determine how integrating the temulawak approach with R software improves students' mathematical representation skills. The experiment was conducted on 18 student subjects enrolled in the Theoretical Descriptive Statistics course for the 2024/2025 academic year. Evaluations were conducted at the beginning of the course and at the end of each learning phase. The results of the analysis using a paired-samples t-test with α = 5% showed an increase in mathematical representation skills from the pretest to the posttest of 44,55%. The effect of this learning is considered significant (d > 0.8). These findings indicate that integrating temulawak and computational technology through R software improves students' mathematical representation skills. This study implies that integrating the temulawak approach with R software can significantly strengthen students' mathematical representation skills and conceptual understanding of probability distributions, thereby confirming the benefits of cybernetic-based learning approaches supported by computational technology.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keaktifan dan prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas XI MIPA 2 SMA N 1 Weru Sukoharjo Tahun Ajaran 2019/2020 melalui pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS)berbasis Lesson Study. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA 2 SMA N 1 Weru yang berjumlah 31 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu teknik observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan teknik analisis data yaitu analisis peningkatan keaktifan belajar siswa dan peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, rata-rata keaktifan belajar siswa pada pra siklus 50,9%, pada siklus I 64,6%, dan pada siklus II 78,6%. Dalam pra siklus, nilai rata-rata kelas adalah 53,3. Pada siklus I menjadi 62,8 dan 76,8 pada siklus II. Jumlah siswa yang mencapai KKM pada pra siklus sebanyak 4 siswa (9,67%), pada siklus I menjadi 10 siswa (33,3%) dan pada siklus II menjadi 30 siswa (100%).
