Abstract

Abstract

Islamic education in the Society 5.0 era integrates high technology into social life, but many Islamic educational institutions still use a teacher-centered approach. This study aims to explore the use of interactive digital media in teaching Islamic education at Madinatul Quran Middle School and Nurul Masyitoh Islamic Middle School in Lumajang. The method used is qualitative with an ethnographic approach, which includes classroom observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The results show that the use of interactive digital media can create a dynamic learning environment, increase student participation, and encourage them to ask questions and develop understanding independently. This study provides a theoretical contribution to the development of competencies of Islamic educational institutions in the Society 5.0 era.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the process and results of character education for 4th-grade students at PKBM PNF KBRI Kuala Lumpur thru an educational and habit-based approach. Using a case study design. The research results indicate progressive behavioral development in most students, particularly in greeting and showing respect, bowing when passing teachers, sitting neatly, and walking politely. The changes were not uniform, but the majority of students showed consistent improvement from the first to the third week. Daily guidance in routine forums has proven effective because it optimizes the teacher's role as a moral figure, emotional support, and strengthener of the microsystem environment within the updated Bronfenbrenner bioecological framework, where direct interaction, relationship dynamics, and the influence of technology that accompanies daily life become an integral part of the developmental process. This research confirms that structured, repetitive, and example-based character development can help migrant children build moral and social stability.

Abstract

This qualitative descriptive study examines the TAMASYA (Takallam li Ajli Sa‘ādah) program at MTs Ma’arif Tieng, Wonosobo, and explores how it nurtures students’ interest in learning Arabic. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with an Arabic teacher, observations of activities in classrooms and school spaces, and analysis of program documents and learning materials. Data were analyzed iteratively through reduction, display, and conclusion drawing; credibility was enhanced through triangulation. Findings show that TAMASYA runs as a sustained routine: daily greetings and functional expressions, thematic mufradāt, simple hiwār, istimā‘–taqlīd, and language games, reinforced by weekly vocabulary and partial Arabic classroom instructions. Implemented inside and outside class and aligned with lesson content, the program provides meaningful exposure that lowers anxiety, increases participation, and strengthens confidence to produce simple utterances and respond to Arabic instructions. Consequently, Arabic is perceived as more relevant and less intimidating, supporting higher motivation and interest. It emphasizes consistency, enjoyment, and humane feedback in speaking practice.
